Thought I'd be premature and create this thread now.

Currently have this meet up planned:

13th Jan - Miss Tina's in Washington

What's the plan for Saturday? ILs are up so might be able to wangle a night off (three pairs of arms for rocking duty...!)

juneybean · 05/08/2014 14:19

StealthPolarBear - negative nancy because I just don't think it's going to work boo!

Saturday - something cheap and cheerful?

What's plan for tomorrow?

I'm not so sure about tomorrow, I seem to have killed the dcs today and I have a million and one things to do tomorrow involving holiday prep, returning stuff to one shop, picking stuff up from another shop......

Saturday however I am very definitely up for. Meet up at either Whisky River or Ebony and just potter along and see who has space for us? Sure most places could squeeze 3 or 4 of us in couldn't they? Curry, Tapas, whatever really.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/08/2014 15:46

Though tomorrow could work in the afternoon if not too far away.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 05/08/2014 17:20

Have you seen the forecast for tomorrow? It is going to be a bit wet....

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/08/2014 17:32

hmmmm do you think I can bribe my children into watching Harry Potter of I give them popcorn?

a dvd afternoon might give me a chance to get sorted too. ...

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 05/08/2014 18:54

If you want them out of your hair I'm happy to have them. They can run riot watch dvds and eat popcorn here. I've come to the conclusion that my children are less irritating when other people's are around. Then we can eat cake when you are sorted.

juneybean · 05/08/2014 19:29

Ohh I want to watch Harry Potter!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 05/08/2014 19:58

I've never seen it Shock

I need to expand the DVD collection to cover proper films.

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/08/2014 21:08

Yes the couple of times the big 2 have seen films with actual people in rather than computer graphics they have loved them. I feel the need to start pushing ET and stuff on them. reckon they would love batteries not included.

I have now seen all the films except DH2 which I did record, I recorded them all when on itv but for some reason the stupid box deleted the last one Angry . Not as good as the books. The have some moments of brilliance but the books cannot be beaten. I need to read them again.

I'm currently re-reading them, a third of the way through GoF

I'm never sure about gof. I love azcaban and then the last 2. I still want another book written around what happened at the school during DH. There are all manner of things I want to know.

IAmAPaleontologist · 06/08/2014 07:17

or even azkaban

not had hot chocolate yet. Still asleep.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 06/08/2014 09:00

Diy is bad for you.

Got carried away yesterday and painted a wall in the kitchen (its only needed doing for a year). This morning I can't move my wrist and it bloody hurts. this is after I dropped a paving slab on my foot on Monday.

Think I'll spend the rest of my hols on the sofa. Its safer.

LeggyBlondeNE · 06/08/2014 14:55

paleo - I have DH2 on blu-rate, and the full set on DVD if you want to borrow them. DH2 has a couple of changes which are really quite annoying, but the battle scenes are just amazing and it's the one film I definitely will watch multiple times.

Spiggy - definitely. On the sofa. Safer for everyone. You're doing them all a favour.

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/08/2014 09:50

So what shall we do tomorrow?

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/08/2014 15:42

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/08/2014 18:59

I'm here! Actually I'm hiding in the spare room as dh is at the cricket in Manchester and I've had the kids all day.

Still on for tomorrow?

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/08/2014 21:49

Am currently trying to decide if I feel a bit shitty because I'm shattered or if I have good dh's d&v bug.

spiggy I just saw your thermometer confession. You really should stop trying to do things around the house. Have you already forgotten the ladder incident?

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/08/2014 21:59

I know. I really am safer at work aren't I?

I thought it would be a nice surprise for dh to come back to a bathroom that had been deep cleaned and a whole load of crap chucked
Instead he's coming back to a half cleared bathroom that no one is allowed into while it is being ventilated to be on the safe side. If he gets back, he's currently having the prospect of a night at York station due to flooding...

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/08/2014 22:01

Meant to say, hope you haven't got d&v.

IAmAPaleontologist · 09/08/2014 11:32

No d&v just feel minging. Probably not up to going out Sad .

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 09/08/2014 15:06

Boo. hope you improve for the last bit of your hols.

Juney, shall we postpone until there's more of us available/well/not grumpy from a trip to the seventh circle of hell ikea?

juneybean · 09/08/2014 15:42

Yess that sounds like a plan... I feel nauseous.... ?!
