Thought I'd be premature and create this thread now.

Currently have this meet up planned:

13th Jan - Miss Tina's in Washington

:(. Much love juney x

I'm up for a meet of some sort deadlines/study/shifts permitting.

juneybean · 27/05/2014 10:34

Well they put it where it needs to be so that's out of my hands Grin I just lie down for 15 minutes then abstain from exercise (lol!) and hot baths.

Then in my head I'm thinking should I try a round of IVF but jesus that could be nearly £5k.... which I have but it'd scupper house buying (I can rent?)

IVT isn't an automatic win either though, far from it. Most people shagging in traditional style take more than one cycle to conceive even when charting and doing it at ovulation etc so while your not getting pg first time is hugely disappointing for you it isn't surprising either. My feeling would be to try again with the vials you have, sticking with less invasive methods. You are young, you have time on your side to take a break , buy a house and get yourself settled and save up for IVF if it doesn't work.

Gosh isn't that all horrible and logical? I'd much rather give you a hug and buy you cake Cake Brew Thanks.

juneybean · 27/05/2014 11:32

Yeah that's true, I will see how I get on, my coordinator said most single women/lesbians do conceive within 3 goes so fingers crossed!

MrsTripTucker · 28/05/2014 15:19

Forgot to say, Dana, started potty training DD today, been using that Potty Time app you recommend, she keeps asking to call Rachel :D

DanaBarrett · 30/05/2014 20:42

goldenretriever1978 · 05/06/2014 19:55

I really need cocktails.

Indith · 05/06/2014 20:17

You've not even done a week yet! How is it going?

Long shifts to tomorrow and Saturday. Sunday off then long shift again on Monday for my first day of iccu.

counting

the

shifts

goldenretriever1978 · 07/06/2014 11:46

Unfortunately, the three people who I was with this week both had an unusually horrendous case to deal with, so managed to get the horrors triple fold. However, my thinking is that if I have survived this first week and am relatively positive and upbeat, then this is a good sign!

Cocktails you say? Indith we could celebrate the end of your
delightful placement!

Indith · 07/06/2014 21:44

baptism of fire. congratulations on your survival x

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 21/06/2014 12:03

This fell off my tio so was just getting it back when I spotted the magic cocktail word!

Can I add my name to the neeed a cocktail list?

Golden, I hope that things for better after your baptism of fire.

Juney, how are your plans going? Still aiming for July?

juneybean · 22/06/2014 14:11

Well still waiting for period this month, it was due Friday. But have had an offer accepted on a house....! So might wait until august as I suspect the stress is what's made me late.

Desperately hoping Halifax will lend me the money I need. They won't take any of my self-employed income into account :(

OP posts:
spiffysquiffyspiggy · 22/06/2014 19:52

Fingers crossed for a successful.August on both counts. House buying is a nightmare, hope you get it all sorted quickly so we can all come round for a house warming soon

MrsTripTucker · 24/06/2014 15:19

Fingers crossed on both accounts!

juneybean · 24/06/2014 15:41

Thanks lovelies! I bought a rug today (or rather my mother did)! Grin

I can't really spend much money at the minute (in anticipation of having my bank scrutinised) but I'd like to see you people soon, shall we plan something? It's my birthday in July?

OP posts:
goldenretriever1978 · 24/06/2014 17:23

Fingers crossed Juney and hurray for July birthday celebrations!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 24/06/2014 18:21

Hello, sorry to barge in. I just wanted to say hi, and let you all know about a competition on Local for cricket tickets (family ticket 2+2). It closes today so if you'd like to be in with a chance, pop on over. local.mumsnet.com/durham

It has been very quiet on Local, but I have been in as editor for a couple of months now and it is starting to pick up. We have lots of what's on listings and not much chat yet I'd love to come along if you have a meet up in July. Before I was local ed I always seemed to be busy or see the thread just after a meet up.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 26/06/2014 14:24

Hello LocalEd!

Fingers crossed for you Juney!

I would be up for a July meet-up too Smile

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 26/06/2014 19:15

We'll have to have a night out now!

Although I promise to be more restrained than I was last night. Went to a leaving do and made it back to my hotel at 2.30 am. Today has been a looong day. Grin
