Time for a new thread I think, as our inane chatterings have almost filled up t'other one.

Venue booked, people paid. Now to sort out our gladrags and handbags for our annual drunken extravaganza. There will be gin aplenty and dancing on chairs SayCool and dances no doubt and the foolhardy will do their kamikaze Boris Bike tricks.

Saturday 30th November, venue known to the paid up crew, time - well officially 7:30, but I suspect there will be early starters...

Really looking forward to seeing you all there, and also welcoming the Mottley Crew coming from MNHQ.

Oh, and I've promised to make cupcakes with, shall we say, MN acceptable wording

I will bring Belgian chocolates and organise an order for Duty Free fags. No-one ever smokes on MN til there is a Meet Up.

Ahem. Val runs a lovely Smoking Shed, Porto. Zombie will be bumping after she's had her dinner.

*Just to say that DS & DIL are going to be back from 'furrin parts' that w/e.

As I love them very dearly & don't see enuff of them I am going to ditch all you lot in favour of them.

Hope to meet you all in the summer.

*Bloody kids - they always get in the way of fun - last time they stopped me coming to a meet up by having a WEDDING! The very cheek of them.

Married sounds like you are doing it properly. I've done both moving methods in the past:

1. Carefully have a sort out and a proper clear out, mark things with sticky notes, move items to where the should be so they get packed with like items, have curtains and carpets cleaned before they are moved then pressed after, fold your special clothes with tissue paper, make sure DVDs and CDs are in their proper cases............

1. Work 120 hours a week in the run up to the move, leave everything to the removal company, have your MIL unpack for you at the other end and then look at you as a slattern forevermore because she was unpacking dirty coffee cups and rubbish in the rubbish bins that had been packed up and shipped overseas

I know which one I prefer!

Checking in I was too pregnant to come to last year's shindig (DD2 was born 4 days after the meetup). I think the Christmas 2011 one was actually my last proper night out.

Right, I'm back in the world of normal after doing the 5K for Woolly Hugs today with Pistey and BIWI. It PISSED down the whole time bar about 3 minutes and we were wet, cold and exhausted.
