Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is getting full.

Next meet up is on Wednesday 10th April, 10ish at the Durham Botanical Gardens. We will either be in the entrance or staking a couple of the picnic tables by the pond.
I will be giving Vikinglady a lift.

I wish I'd read this earlier Spiggy, I'd have dragged you out for breakfast!

Bloke is 24, secondary teacher, lives in c le s, seemed sweet, he inferred he wanted to see me again but that could have just been end of the date let me out of here spiel!

goldenretriever · 21/08/2013 12:51

Oooh, can I come tomorrow? Other half pissing off to London tomorrow for a few days and need to entertain small children and myself. When and where?

Juney, sounds like date went well!

Indith · 21/08/2013 12:51

Sweet is good :) Only one way to find out if he was serious about seeing you again Grin. Where does he teach? I know a lot of teachers could get some dirt on him

Are we going for 1.30 Palace Green again tomorrow?

Shall attempt to prevent anyone from throwing up this time. I want sundaes Grin.

ArrowofApollo · 21/08/2013 13:47

yep that suits me. need to pop back into town to get front key cut again as the one they did me doesn't work Hmm

Do you want to see him again?

juneybean · 21/08/2013 16:37

He text me today! He does want to see me again... I think I'll see him again, give him a chance hehe

I'll FB you Indith with the school!

Been a bit long since I did anything with man parts that weren't under 3 year old! (that sounds SO wrong but you know what I mean!)

Indith · 21/08/2013 17:10

Man parts are easily pleased.

Indith · 21/08/2013 17:15

Oh FGS, baby fallen asleep on my lap. I need to put dinner on. I left dd at the park under supervision of a couple of 8 year olds and her brother. And dh won't be back til late and I need to do work so I wanted him to go to bed on time!

The last 2 canines have hit hole in teh gum stage though so hopefully just another 2 or 3 days of teething hell before we get a few months off. Woohoo!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 21/08/2013 20:50

I'm sure you'll remember what to do with man parts when it, ahem, comes to it. Grin

I have not stopped all day. I have emptied the hall of all the crap and thoroughly cleaned it. I have added storage to the playroom and divided the toys into themes dh will particularly like this I have done 4 loads of washing and changed all the beds. This housework malarkey is hard work. I shall leave it to dh in the future and go back to work. It is easier. Grin

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 21/08/2013 20:52

Have you managed to locate d and get a into bed? Big two not back yet so having a sit down and glass of wine.

VikingLady · 21/08/2013 22:01

Man parts - show up naked, bring beer Grin

I can't do Thursday. Meeting about possible closure of the MLU in Bishop Auckland. If anyone is interested in having a say, there is a meeting Thursday (tomorrow) at the Dolphin Centre in Darlington at 11.30. Anyone who knows me knows I love having my say....

Spiggy How was the housework? Am laughing my bottom off at the idea!

ArrowofApollo · 21/08/2013 23:20

Good luck, Viking!

Juney Grin have fun!

OP posts:
LeggyBlondeNE · 24/08/2013 02:34

Art, Viking, not again? Is this a permanent proposal this time? How did meeting go?

(Why yes I have post-1am-nappy-leak insomnia. GRR.)

Indith · 24/08/2013 09:05

how was it viking? hoping to get to the next mslc. Sadly, with Durham getting a pool I won't be surprised if we lose it completely. They have to fight every year for it :(

Packing frenzy, off on holiday! And I can feel my period coming on though also Grin since I realised yesterday the condoms we'd been using were out of date. Ooops!

Indith · 24/08/2013 11:16

so realised me and dh didn't have enough pants for the week. needed stuff from homebase too so go to arnison. I'm wondering round the shop feeling crampy, hot, woozy and sick. come home, look at pants. I have a pack in a size 18 and another in a size 10. neither of which is my size Hmm

Indith · 24/08/2013 17:03

we got here andthere Wada fresh choc cake waiting for us. plus free WiFi. I like it here Grin

VikingLady · 24/08/2013 20:43

It's officially a temporary closure, but since the ambulance service can't/won't guarantee an 8m response time 100% of the time in case of emergency transfer, the CEO of the PCT (have I got the right job title?) is pretty much certain to close it. Before that happens they would need a public consultation, but it seems pretty much certain.

They are currently trying to sort funding and agreement for a separate MLU co-located at Memorial.

Indith · 24/08/2013 21:56
Sad
goldenretriever · 25/08/2013 12:41

I wish it was the PCT - they closed on March 31st, to be replaced with NECS, which plans to be a private organisation by 2016 and works for NHS organisations, mainly the newly formed and GP led CCGs, but has no power of it's own. It is all money, money, money. Utter shite. Rant over. Just had to clear up a disposable nappy (the horror) which I cleverly threw down the stairs and exploded with lots of piss soaked bits of silicon stuck to the floor. Now my rant is over.

juneybean · 25/08/2013 21:22

Boy wants to go to Beamish for the next date... wtf do I wear, feeling particularly huge and was able to hide behind a table in a big dress that hid my problem areas. But having to WALK in front of him I'm not going to be able to hide any thing!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 25/08/2013 21:35

I've started taking the advice of my old headmistress- wear something bold that makes you stand out. If you have already been noticed then there is no need to be shy. It is working a treat- I did a really important presentation that I was shitting myself about but stood there and figured they'd already noticed my bright purple dress and immediately felt more settled and confident.

goldenretriever · 27/08/2013 11:21

I agree with Spiffy, especially on the top half! As long as arse central is covered I feel good to go. Loving the mumsy a line dresses with black tights! Very black tights...

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 27/08/2013 11:32

Eek! I may have to take my own advice- I have an interview next Thursday. With a presentation as part of it. I hate presentations.

juneybean · 27/08/2013 15:34

I wasn't sure if I'd be a sweaty mess wearing tights as I reckon it'll warm on Thursday, and I melt in the heat any ways without wandering around Beamish argh.

What's the interview for??

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 27/08/2013 18:02

Depends how warm it is and of there is a breeze. You can get away with black tights if there is a breeze or it is slightly overcast without melting.

Interview is for promotion. I have a new dress (black with white spots and a kind of ruffley bit) and new shoes (blue suede) sounds strange combination but looks quite smart makes a change

juneybean · 28/08/2013 17:09

You lot have rubbed off on me.

I was just reading facebook and read a friend with a 5 month old weaning onto bottles as he's too big and nips her. Made me feel sad as 5 months seems awfully young compared to you lot!
