OK - Friday 11th June - Calderstones Park, at 11.00? How does that sound? We could go to Rose lane or Allerton Rd for coffee/lunch at 12 if the park is really too busy, or for people who have to leave, lets just do a quick one hour meet and try and arrange something bigger in a months time. A MN down south is having a summer party, would be great to organise MN picnic at Calderstones during the summer holidays. What do you think? Can you let me know if Friday is OK, if I don't hear from anybody I will go to Calderstones with DS looking for famous tennis players!

Hi Alliwannado - 11.00 outside the cafe, Calderstones, my ds will be 3 on Friday so a special day for him . I can probably only stay for an hour as 3rd b/day party to organize. Which I will tell you all about on Friday. Looking forward to it and hope others can make it. We can discuss summer MN party in the park, whilst birthday boy and girl play happily! Hopefully they will work up an appetite for b/day cake and party food! See you Friday!

Sorry, but trip to Wales is now on and travelling am on Friday 11th. Would really like to meet up at some point with you all!!.Typical have had weeks of thur/fridays alone in park and all of a sudden things happening.

Hi Bron42 - sorry you can't join us on Fri - have a good trip to Wales. I have managed to book a puppet show - his age range is 2-6 so perfect for the party. I am off work tomorrow and Friday, so all I have to do is tidy the whole house, bake a cake (who am I kidding I saw a great one with nemo on). Buy food wait in for a shed to be delivered, fill in two application forms as I have decided to look for another job. So a busy few days. If the puppet show is good, I will post the details on this site for others. I am hoping for dry weather Friday for the trip to the park and the party. As a FTWM I am looking forward to actually spending some time with my ds! We can arrange another meet up soon and plan the summer party! I hope to meet a lot of you over the summer months . If organising day meet ups we could always go for a night out (remember those?) For South Liverpool MN's the choice at Allerton is great and not as intimidating as meeting new people in town. Any takers? Did I mention I like organising things.......

the answer to the night out thing is to drink before you go, that way you don't care how you look - anyway I was 2 stone overweight, went up to visit a friend in Edinburgh for first weekend away from dh and ds's it was great, went to very trendy bar wearing black (of course)and red jacket from wallis in 50's style, matching pillar box red lippy, girls it was a hit, whilst sitting at a table dishy looking man kept giving me what I somehow remember as 'the eye'. Was very flattered but am very happily married to dh. I kept thinking if I stand up and he sees me properly he will be most disappointed.

The suggestion of a night out in the Allerton area sounds wonderful. Went to Penny Lane Wine Bar last week. First time in "males and females eyeing each other up" environment for over a year!!! Was a bit nervious walking in alone but once met up with old friends whom I hadn't seen for five years!!! forgot the worries about how I looked, etc. Thought of being back on the treadmill of finding someone appalls me. Glad I am a settled married woman with 2 kids now who can only cope with two glasses of champagne and ends up giggling when I returned home to very suprised DH.
Hope the weather holds for you Bebby. Like you, I am seen as an organiser. So there's hope for regular meetings with two of us into it!
Enjoy the meet tomorrow morning. I will think of you whilst driving listening to my new Alicia Keyes CD that I treated myself to this am.

Hi Bron, hopefully you will be able to make the next meet. I am hoping that other people will be up for a night out, it does you good to get out without the ds/dd's nd dh/dp's . I have driven past the park a few times today and the tennis tournament is definately not a sell out, I wonder why? See you next time.

Hi Bebby/Eyelash, great to meet you last Friday! Bebby, my husband does know (Eddie) from Typetalk, knew alot about his camper etc, he asked why did he sell it? Anyway, I'm up for a meet again, maybe Speke Hall? Anyone at Calderstones Park this week that wants to meet at cafe?

Hi Alliwannado/eyelash - The party went well, apart from the rain. The puppet show got a an OK 7/10 it kept the children entertained for 45 mins which was good. I used Chris Topper puppets, he is in Yellow Pages (I have lost the number!) and was ideal for 4 - 6 year olds.

Alliwannado - my dad sold the van because people kept nicking things from it, like the awning, the badge etc. If he gets another one he will need a lock up garage as the garage at home isn't big enough. Saldly they think it was the milkman, everytime my mum cancelled the milk to go on holiday without the van something from the van was stolen, either that or someone was following the milk delivery routine and knew when people were away. She cancelled a few months ago and then didn't end up going away and the van was got at again! Some people are really sad .

I would love to do a meet at Speke Hall but as yet can't plan a day off, will let you know as soon as poss, but it may be in the summer hols depending on how I work out my leave.

Anyone else out there for a MN summer party/picnic in Calderstones Park? How about August Bank Holiday weekend? Sat 28/8? Please register your interest and we can take it from there.

Glad you were able to meet last Friday and all went well. Trip back home went fine with two nights of uninterrupted sleep for 8 hours. Aagh, those heady days before babies!!
Like the idea of Speke Hall. Next 2 weeks busy with marking that I do. But from w/c 5 July looking fine most days. Friday is the best am, Wed and Thurs pm also good.
August BH weekend - away in Wales (again!) It might look like I am always there but promise this is not typical for us!!

Hi all, Friday am is fine with me, available most weeks, never away really because of school pick-up/drop off. Anyone about any Wed/Thur/Fri let me know and we can meet. I am always at calderstones park, think I'll camp out there I'm up for a few drinks in Allerton, nothing heavy though (she says) LOL. We'll do Speke Hall then eh, I can go anytime, being a member of the national trust is useful otherwise it would cost a bit.
Bebby, shame about things getting stolen... some people eh! Dan asked can you ask your dad where he got his camper resprayed because we are looking to get ours done but rather get done at a place recommended by others, also what was the cost? hope thats ok to ask. Hi Alliwanado - will get the info on the van over the weekend. Meet up at Speke Hall would be good one weekend, we are in the middle of replacing our bathroom at the moment so this weekend will be spent looking for tiles...boring. Maybe next weekend. Drinks in Allerton Rd, not too many I'm getting old and can't take the pace, if you want proof read yesterday's bar thread 'barking something or other I can't remember' I am going back to the bar now, care to join me for a nightcap?

Next weekend going to the barney show on Saturday, hmmm sons looking forward to it but can't say i am, hes desperate to see barney but personally I think hes a little old for it, hes 5 next month, but well we'll see. Think the weekend after gonna try and get away in camper been a long time since we have managed to get away in it, son has parties every weekend to go to! they say its only that bad in the 1st yr at school, hopefully it'll all calm down next yr.
Have fun with the bathroom.... doing it yourself? or getting people in to do it all? maybe we should email eachother sometime! How did the tennis go? everytime went past it looked pretty quiet.....

Hi Alliwannado - My dad is looking up the info on the van spray job for you, sorry not been around this week as mad busy in work, and I am off to London for two days on Tuesday, sounds good but it will be hell . I will send you my e-mail via contact another talker, I am still not on e-mail at home (should be soon) but work is probably the best e-mail address as I am here all the time that is two sad faces, good job it is Friday. Enjoy the Barney, in my experience my five year old loves to revert back a couple of years!
