Cafe sounds good to me!

allatsea · 10/03/2004 22:28

sorry folks, I think that we'll take a rain check on this one. dd seems rather poorly and I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone else
Hope you have a great time

kiwisbird · 11/03/2004 20:41

Bugger it all, bloody weather!!!!!!!!!! It's snowing plenty ehre now as DH goes to work on motorcycle usually he now needs the car, bike not safe in ice and snow etc... He can't even work from home as he has to interview someone...
This is the 3rd time I have tried to get to a meet up adn failed I'm getting really cross...
Have a lovely time ladies

Oliviab · 14/03/2004 21:02

I could have sworn I put a message on here to say I couldn't come - had to go to work for boring training. Anyway, my Nappuccino baby fayre / coffee morning is in 2 weeks so do you want to come to that? £1 entry but all in a good cause and there's a great raffle so you might win something too. Didn't mean to hijack events but it's booked anyway so you guys might as well come if you can! There's also baby signing sessions which are great fun.

Friday 2nd April 1-4pm Highfield Church Centre, Highfield Lane, Off the Avenue, Southampton.

See you there? Liv

Tommy · 14/03/2004 21:33

I saw that on your website Oliviab - I'm going to try and come along - maybe see some Mumsnetters there (how will we know?!)

handlemecarefully · 15/03/2004 15:18

Good luck with your nappuchino!

Must say, having been to two mumsnetter meet ups now, although they were enjoyable, only 3 (including me) turned up to the first meet up and only 2 (including me) turned up to the second. So I'm not sure that there is that much interest. Hope you get a good show though!

Oliviab · 15/06/2004 14:51

Another Nappuccino in Southampton! There'll be new and used baby stuff for sale, pottery painting, raffle, refreshments. All in a lovely 1930s cricket pavilion hidden in a secret garden - gorgeous on a July day.
Thursday 8th July 1-4pm
Residents Garden Pavilion, Abbotts Way, Highfield (off the Avenue), Southampton
I'm soon to be a SAHM so please come along, I NEED to make more friends !

lucysmum · 15/06/2004 15:16

I'll put it in my diary and come along if I can skive off work - I work at the bottom of the Avenue. Won't have my kids with me - would I be the only one ? But keen to meet more mums in the area (I live in Winchester)

Oliviab · 05/07/2004 00:15

Well I'm putting dd in kennels for the day (MIL's house) as she's a complete pain in the bum when I'm trying to be the hostess with the mostest!
Hope to see you there,
Liv

Tommy · 05/07/2004 00:46

I'd love to come! saw this advertised at our M&Ts group this morning but forgot to pick up the leaflet. We are supposed to be going out but I may be able to arrange it so DS1 can go on his own (! - not bad at 2 and a half!)and I could come with DS2. Hopefully see you there.
Oliviab - I am SAHM too

Gwendoline · 13/07/2004 01:23

Hi I would like to come too.I could do with some shopping therapy.I live in Winchester though I am moving to Southampton next month, hectic box time!

DelGirl · 13/07/2004 01:27

I'm in Bournemouth, can I 'meet up' too. I don't have any children though, does it matter?

DelGirl · 13/07/2004 01:30

I tried to come to Nappuccino today but couldn't find it
Perhaps we should arrange another meet up sometime?

bunnymum · 09/08/2004 10:11

Sorry to make this thread into another subject, but can anyone let me know about good parent & toddler activity sessions on a Monday or Friday (I do my other job Tues - Thurs)?
I need to try and wear my little "angel" out!! (She's 1 yr and we live in the Bitterne area by the way)

New to all this and haven't picked up the lingo yet!!

Thanks

Tommy · 09/08/2004 17:01

Have you looked at the CIS website - will try to do a link.... can't find it not the Cityweb page (not the best website at the best of times!) but if you take a look at this it gives the phone numbers. We go to M&Ts in Portswood but it's on a Tuesday unfortunately for you! Don't know what's going on over your side of town! Good luck - perhaps we should arrange a Southampton meet up soon anyway

bunnymum · 17/08/2004 23:44

Thanks Tommy.

I got an odd error message when I tried to use the link, but my hubby is the IT wiz, so I'll get him to have a look.

A meet up sounds good. (I've just noticed how many bunny people there are on this thread! Maybe we ought to bring our pets too!!)

bunnymum · 20/08/2004 08:49

Dur!!! The penny has dropped about the bunny thing! (But I truly am a mum to my bunny - substitute baby until DD arrived)

bunny2 · 20/08/2004 21:32

Mum, is that you???

OP posts:
Oliviab · 26/09/2004 14:01

Just to give advance warning there'll be another Nappuccino in the middle of Southampton on a Saturday in November.
We're going a bit more high profile this time - as tommy can verify the previous venue is a b*gger to find, sorry!
Will let you know more when I'm more organised - 20wks pg and can't think about anything but scan tomorrow!

Tommy · 26/09/2004 14:27

Good luck with your scan oliviab. Do you mind us hijacking your nappuccino event or should we arrange another meetup sometime?
let us know when it is anyway please!

Oliviab · 03/10/2004 16:49

Aha! It's a boy! Now I can't blame it for all this chocolate I'm eating.
Anyway, Nappuccino is Saturday 27th November 2-4pm
Edmund Kell Hall, Bellevue Rd off London Rd (the one with all the estate agents, opposite the Varsity pub), central Southampton.
Do come along whatever your motivation and whatever nappies you use. There'll be plenty of stalls with ideas for Xmas gifts, info on real nappies if you're interested, tea/coffee and space to chat.

Tommy · 03/10/2004 21:36

Ooooh! Boys are great! (I have to say that) Know the Edmund Kell place well so will try and come along although it's DH's birthday that weekend so may well have the inlaws here - mind you -it would give me a good excuse to escape the house wouldn't it?!
