could be (with ds3), but I'm too unreliable to take into account when organising anything so organise whatever you want to organise and I'll come if I can. (It's the 2nd day after the holidays so I may have a long list of things I need to do- depends a bit how much help I get during the break). Would be lovely to meet up if we can!

TearsBeforeBedtime · 26/03/2006 23:14

Okey dokey, will see what we cook up and whether we get any more potential takers!

Ar$e! Sad

I'm going to be away that week (am being naughty and taking children out of school for a holiday with friends who don't have school-age children) so won't be able to make it.

It is my wedding anniverary that day though, so wherever I am I can guarantee that I'll be having a drink and will have one for you all having a nice time without me.

TBB - I'm sorry I'm going to miss you on your trip down, it would have been great to meet you. You'll have to come again! Smile

TearsBeforeBedtime · 26/03/2006 23:29

tsk tsk tsk ponygirl. have a great anniversary! Essbee has got JanH up the week after, so I think will be keen on arranging another meet shortly after anyway!

OP posts:
ponygirl · 26/03/2006 23:41

Ah yes, I think the plan with JanH is going to involve and evening, no children and red wine, so sounds pretty darned good to me! Driving may be the only fly in the ointment...

It's great to see so many Devon meet-up threads - we're starting to look really happening down here!

where are you planning to meet in fron plymouth

ItalianJob · 29/03/2006 18:22

We've not actually got as far as a venue yet, but Plymouth may be a possibility, as that's more convenient for icequeen, but I'll need to check with Essbee if that's OK, as she needs to get back at 3 p.m. for the school run

The MNetter formerly known as MTS/TearsBeforeBedtime

getbakainyourjimjams · 29/03/2006 22:09

You can come to my house in Plymouth if you want (although its a dump I warn you) :o Central though.

JanH · 29/03/2006 22:13

I bet Italian Job ends up being MTS again before long Grin

My visit to essbee is the following week (Tue 2/5 - Thu 4/5), I hope you won't all (apart from ponygirl) be meet-upped-out by then?

ItalianJob · 30/03/2006 08:39

always assumed you were Totnes, jj!. Your house sounds fine as a venue, will have to check it's OK with essbee because of school run.

ItalianJob · 30/03/2006 22:53

Have checked with Essbee, Plymout would be OK with her, we'ld have to meet relative early though - say 10.30 ish to fit in with school pick up.

ItalianJob · 31/03/2006 10:38

fennel · 31/03/2006 12:46

I can do that day. not sure about Plymouth though. no idea how long it takes from Exeter and am also constrained by school run + toddler in tow. Jimjams is your house near the station in Plymouth?

ItalianJob · 02/04/2006 10:10

fennel · 02/04/2006 12:58

We should do a link to those other Devon threads i'm sure there are a few people on those who said they'd like to meet up.

so is it Plymouth then? have not been there since i was 15. is the open air pool by the sea still open?

fennel · 02/04/2006 13:03

have linked the other 3 Devon threads to this one to try and drum up some more custom

woosmummy · 02/04/2006 13:22

Just seen your links to the other Plymouth board, what's happening and where? I would love to be brave and join in if thats ok? Feel the fear and do it anyway and all that!

The open air pool "Tinside" is still open and has been redeveloped in the recent past - still grotty I would have thought, Would you want to swim in the Sound around the corner from the Dockyard?!

Plymouth from Exeter is about an hour by rail.

ItalianJob · 02/04/2006 22:09

bumping in case anyone has any inspiration as where to meet! possibly a soft play with a decent cafe, or somewhere nice and parklike for those of us with toddlers in tow?

ItalianJob · 03/04/2006 09:42

.

Jessajam · 03/04/2006 14:52

Hi, pulled in from the other plymouth-y focussed thread, would love to come along, but weekday so will probably be working Sad...although, who knows what can be achieved with a little annual leave Wink! Think I ought to at least try...!!!!

fennel · 03/04/2006 20:39

hi woosmummy and jessajam. i think there might be an evening meet up planned in early May too which might suit people who can't make daytimes

i can't really suggest anywhere as am new to the area and don't know Plymouth. I don't think the one place i do remember - the concrete open air pool - is going to be great for a toddler meet up really Smile

woosmummy · 04/04/2006 09:35

There is a softplay place near crownhill, Plymouth Playzone - its on the web somewhere. I've never been but my freind goes and has pulled the ligaments in her knee whilst there last week, so it must be fun!

Weekdays or nights are good for me - you may have seen my job interview chat thread - I don't think the world of work will be bothering me for a while!
