Hi, I'm new to mumsnet and already addicted - why else be up at this unearthly hour? (DS 3y just been sick on me that's why, but that's another story Sad)
I live in Darton, have 3y DS, who's at nursery half the week, and DD 2 months. I'm 35, I'm bf little one and due back to work in September. I'm looking for baby play mates for DD and would love to meet up with other similar mums with new babies who are free at the beginnings of weeks.

Date's ok with me. Are you thinking of the tearoom at the farm or the garden cente? I'm still keen to go swimming if anyone's up for that. Maybe we can decide when we meet...

Yes that date is fine with me too, and I'm happy with the location. Amber - ds starts that swimming course thing I mentioned next Friday and I have took him in our gym pool a couple of times too so I would be happy to go swimming at some point. You can hire out Inkerman for the day privately, I can check how much it would be and if we could get enough babies/toddlers together then we could do that if anyone fancied it?

sarahhal · 15/04/2006 22:35

Hello all! Just spotted this thread after being in York for couple of days then the site being down. Would love to meet up on Wed 26th.
Hoping to take DS swimming soon as have finally re joined the gym which has a small pool. Chloe - do you go to Total Fitness by any chance??! Would be really interested into the Inkerman thing if we could get enough of us together.

See you all soon! Smile

jobo17 · 17/04/2006 20:39

I was thinking of the tearoom by the farm. If (big if) it's nice weather there are some benches outside. Say 1pm?

I'd be interested in the inkerman pool swimming so we could organise that when we meet perhaps?

Chloe55 · 18/04/2006 11:47

Yes Sarah, I am a member of Total Fitness! I tend to go to the Wakey one more than Huddersfield (I say tend to, haven't actually been for exercise for myself in months Blush)

sarahhal · 24/04/2006 08:04

Are we still on for this?

Anyone else joining us?

See you all Wednesday hopefully!

Chloe55 · 24/04/2006 08:20

Yes, I'm still up for it. Have we agreed a time? If not, shall we say 1pm?

amber5 · 24/04/2006 10:30

Yes, me too. So it's 1pm by the tearoom at Cannon Hall Farm.

See you there.

alibo · 25/04/2006 13:16

i might try and join you! not been to cannon hall for ages! i live in mapplewell, and my ds is 2. will you be going in the tea room first, or the farm, as i may not make it for 1pm??

Chloe55 · 25/04/2006 17:58

I guess it would prob be best to go in the tearoom first - I know some of you have met before but for us first timers a walk round would make things harder for us to get to know each other - is anyone in agreement? Keep me away from the cakes though, I joined Weight Watchers last night!!

Chloe55 · 25/04/2006 18:00

Alibo - I have catted you my mobile number if you wanted to catch up with us later.

sarahhal · 25/04/2006 19:32

Not sure will be able to make it now as DS2 totally full of cold. Would hate to pass it on to your teeny girls!!! Won't completely rule it out but if I'm not there you know why! Have fun.

alibo · 25/04/2006 22:57

thanks chloe55; haven't received an email as yet. if i do get there for one, are you having lunch in the cafe or just meeting in there?
will check up again in the morning!

sarahhal · 26/04/2006 09:41

Just to let you know that I won't be there this aft! Had an awful night with DS and he's really suffering with his cold and his teething. He's just not a very happy soul at the moment!

Looking forward to the next one!!

Chloe55 · 26/04/2006 10:09

I probably won't be eating there - too much temptation for me to have something unhealthy but I guess we will be sitting and having a coffee for a while. Have you still not got your email Alibo? Oh sod it, I'm sure it should be fine to put my number on here: 07915 060792

Chloe55 · 26/04/2006 10:09

Shame you can't make it Sarah - I will have to meet you next time Smile

alibo · 26/04/2006 10:53

thanks chloe55, no e-mail as yet; i have had them before and they've been a bit slow! i will probably be there between 1 and 2, so will give you a call. are you going in the farm after tea cafe; ds is fascinated with animals at the moment!

alibo · 26/04/2006 10:54

sorry, that should be tea room! Blush

Chloe55 · 26/04/2006 11:31

I'd be happy to go in the farm after (I'm a sucker for the animals myself Grin)

Chloe55 · 26/04/2006 18:10

Just a note to say it was lovely to meet you today and I look forward to the next meet-up. (I told you I was a sucker for the animals Smile)

amber5 · 26/04/2006 20:35

We had fun too, good to meet you all Jo, Chloe, & Alibo
Sarah, hope your ds is feeling a little better and you all get a better night. we talked about including older kids next time which i think means making it a friday (mine is at nursery mon, tue, wed and i think yours is tue, wed, thurs?)

That would be great to meet up with DS2 as well! Fridays are good for me - back to work in 6 weeks Sad so will have to fit one in very soon.

Hope you all had a good day out x

( we now have four teeth!!!)

amber5 · 27/04/2006 08:20

Just found out today that I'll be doing my old days of Mon/Tue/Wed. Ended up going in today as some GCSE coursework gone missing and i am certain i filed it before I went on maternity leave. Didn't find it and I am really baffled where it can be!! Am so not looking forward to going back there!!!!
