I'm not really thinking that far ahead, yet, GOMR! Maybe I should reserve the bikini-wearing for just week 1 though.
Bella - my gym routine varies according to what my personal trainer deems is necessary to torture me with that day! I go twice a week for an hour with him, and try to go at least once on my own. Last week I went on Tuesday to see him, on Thursday, Saturday and yesterday on my own, and then went again for a PT session this morning.
This morning I did:
10 minute warm-up on the treadmill, starting at a speed of 5.5 and an incline of 10, rising to 15 by the end of the time period
Some circuit work - 20 seconds each of:
- squats/jumps with dumb-bells
- side-to-side bunny jumps
- step ups with heavier dumb-bells
- 'punching' with heavier dumb-bells
- lunge and twists with dumb-bells
- quad dips
- squats, with swiss ball against the wall
repeated a second time
20 second interval training on the rower - 20 seconds as fast as possible, with a 10 second rest in between; 8 times (each 20 seconds resulting in a row of around 70-75m)
Some press-up type stuff on the TRX (feet in the rings, making a press-up, bringing knees into my chest and then extending my legs, then doing the same except swinging the knees to the right and then to the left)
Then the last 5 minutes on the bike, on random, level 8.
Other stuff I do with him includes other circuit work using the Vipr, stomach exercises (variations on sit ups, crunches and the plank), interval training on the bike (20 seconds as fast as possible, with a 10 second break, x 8; if he's really pushing me, more recently, that's been 30 seconds with a 30 second break, x 10), different fixed-weights or lifting weights, and the cross-trainer.
What I really enjoy about it apart from the fact that I'm training with a 23 year old man is the variety - no session is the same as the last.
