Hello all, Kayleigh and I thought it was about time we all saw each other!

We thought Thursday 16th March, hope that suits.

I have two suggestions: Moor Mill in Bricket Wood where we had dinner once before,

or

The Colney Fox in London Colney - a pub/restaurant which is heavily focused on food.

I've been to both places several times - they both have good varied menus and the food is excellent at both.

Hi anorak!

Wow this works!! Thx for replying and including me in your meet up. Although I'm not sure when and where it's all happening - am I being thick?! Do you and the others ever meet up during the day with the babies/kiddies??

Was wondering if you knew of any good clubs in Enfield or surrounding areas that would be good for me and my little one? Finding it hard to keep her entertained lately! x

scooter66 · 01/03/2006 12:46

Hi everyone - can you please put me down for the meet. I wasn't able to make it last time as babysitter let me down but will try my hardest to get there this time as would love to meet you all.

Kayleigh · 01/03/2006 15:29

Pebbles40, you're not being thick at all. It is all a bit confusing. We were going to meet Watford way this time, but as I have broken my leg and will need a lift, and Melsy asked for a local Venue we are trying to do it Barnet/Enfield way.
We do sometimes do daytime meet-ups but usually in summer, so we can do parks and stuff. Some of our kids are school age, so we tend not to meet during day.
Melsy is from enfield so she may have some idea of groups in that area.

Look forward to meeting you - promise we will sort a venue eventually !!

Scooter66, will be nice to meet you too. Smile

cyan · 02/03/2006 08:31

hi Kayleigh, thanks for linking me to this. Barnet's not too far for me. Will be a bit nervous as first time meeting a group off mumsnet!!! What are the details? xxx

pebbles40 · 02/03/2006 12:33

Hey Kayleigh!

Thx for getting back to me!

I might wait for a more local meet up - Enfield/Barnet way would be better for me, then if I don't wanna drive and have a couple of drinks I could get a cab home! But let me know where you were thinking anyway......

Shame you don't really do any daytime meet ups as I get v bored in the days sometimes and find it hard to know what to do with my little angel! It would be nice to know some other mums in the area, just to go for coffee etc. Don't suppose Melsy, Scooter or Cyan are in the same boat as me??!

Look forward to hearing from you. x

cyan · 02/03/2006 22:26

Kayleigh is that the Harvester on the roundabout of the A1?? Dont think Ive had much turkish food , although love a good meze. Ive been driving a bit more now , so hopefully will be able to get there . Just havent told my gp Im doing so ! Couldnt bare to be stuck all the time. I just get to worn out to walk everywere. and talking of walking , how are you doing at home ??

Hi pebbles and cyan, Yep Im a yocal local to Enfield. My week is mixed with being around , as dd started nursury this week and will be there Tues & Wed afternoons. I go to jewish mums grps mainly, but there is a lovely arties grp down the rd from me off chase side. I sometimes go to southbury soft play , so we could do a little meet there may be ???. I dont know about much else really as Ive been working from home , so dd has been looked after here there and everywere. There is fizzi fun , a toddler gym style grp at furzfield leisure centre in Potters bar, which was really good for a few terms.Oh and theres tumble tots at a church hall on green lanes nr winchmnore hill.

sorry everyone else for big post on totally different subject !

Kayleigh · 04/03/2006 09:49

Hi melsy. Have been finding it tough. Am so reliant on everyone. Did have the most hysterical day yesterday though - daisydoolittle took me to brent x and pushed me round in a wheelchair Grin I haven't laughed so much in ages. It was so good to get out though. And you can carry an aful lot of shopping on a wheel chair !!!

cyan · 04/03/2006 10:59

Hi Kayleigh, am still up for the meet-up has anything been set in stone ie dates/venue? Maybe I'm bit a bit dim, and have missed all the info on the thread?! xxx

Kayleigh · 04/03/2006 11:07

hi cyan, i think for ease of parking, location and reasonably varied menu we should go for the Harvester. It is quite a nice one - we go there with the kids a lot.

Harvester
Stirling Corner, Barnet, Hertfordshire EN5 3JG
It's the one on the roundabout between barnet and bushey.

Everyone ok with that. When I know nos will try and book as I think you can book for parties of 8 or more.

Is that ok with everyone ?
(sorry Jan - seem to have taken over arrangements - but have nothing else to do round here at moment !!)

cyan · 04/03/2006 12:25

I think I know the one, Bushey's only up the road from me so that would be brill. I am free all the time apart from Weds evenings as at college. Hows your ankle, Kayleigh? xxx

anorak · 04/03/2006 12:55

No problem your taking over arrangements. I'm glad, as I don't know the area round there anyway.

Hi Cyan

Do you know how to get to Enfield? We could meet for coffee in Starbucks if you fancy? Lemme know when you are free.....if not will see you next Thurs hopefully at the meal! x

cyan · 09/03/2006 15:10

Hi Pebbles can do Mon or Weds next week if you're free. Have an idea of how to get to Enfield but have an A-Z, and can look at the aa website which can direct me! Can meet in Starbucks let me know if you're free wither of these 2 days. xx

I took my ds to topsy turvy world yesterday in Bushey, good place to meet during the day so if ayone fancies meetin there one day in the next cpl of weeks or something let me know and could organise a day meet!

Kayleigh · 10/03/2006 07:58

Any more for the evening meet-up thursday next week ?

pebbles40 · 10/03/2006 08:50

Hi Cyan

I can't do Monday as I'm going to a friends for the day and I'm at the dentist on Weds morn and then will have a numb mouth for most of day so probably not a good idea to go for coffee!

Can do Tues or shall we just leave it to Thurs eve - r u still coming? x

cyan · 10/03/2006 11:36

Hi Pebble I could do Tuesday morning just as long as I'm back in Stanmore by around 1:30pm, take my ds swimming in the afternoon. If that's ok with you then, we could meet in tues morning. Smile
