Hello all, Kayleigh and I thought it was about time we all saw each other!

We thought Thursday 16th March, hope that suits.

I have two suggestions: Moor Mill in Bricket Wood where we had dinner once before,

or

The Colney Fox in London Colney - a pub/restaurant which is heavily focused on food.

I've been to both places several times - they both have good varied menus and the food is excellent at both.

I'm happy with either of those suggestions. Moor Mill has sort of lost it's magic for me since they took the chocolate fondue off the menu

Kayleigh · 08/02/2006 16:59

haven't stopped thinking about chocolate fondue all day .....

Oooooh, I might be able to do this! DD is now sleeping through from 9pm-4:30am most days so it just might be a possibilty by then... (she's 3 months now!) May not be able to make it for the starters, but hopefully a main and dessert, or atleast dessert! It would be soooo lovely to see you all. Again, would have to confirm nearer the time, but please put me down as a 'maybe'.

Hope you are all well.

Have any more babies dropped since you last met up??

mcmudda · 08/02/2006 22:01

Aw.. I remember the night at Moor Mill - I think it was my last with all you lovely laydeez

Definite boycott if there's no chocolate fondue!

anorak · 09/02/2006 08:28

Hi 99, no more babies unless Tabs dropped in the night! Though Melsy has announced she's expecting so there's one more in the oven.

Hi McMudda, fancy coming down? You can always stay at my place anytime you're passing!

I know someone who works at Moor Mill, so I'll see if I can find out whether the choc fondue is currently on the menu or not!

Hello all , didnt see this , till kayleigh nicely directed me over here - thank you x. I would like a dinner night out , but will have to confirm nearer the time. Ive been advised by gp not to drive for the time being and Im not sure for how long. My bp has dropped to much for it to be safe , coupled with vergtigo too !!! What an ole mess, my body doesnt like being pg !!

Hows mummyhood going Tabs ??? 99 it would be so nice to see you (& your dd too).

The only thing is if the venue is round my way and I can then get a lift more easily??? Cheeky request I know , as its not my arrangement. Theres a really nice Thai place at the back of a lovely pub in cockfosters??????

VeniVidiVickiQV · 15/02/2006 18:58

Erm......can you put me down as a possible?

melsy can we leave the arrangement as it is for now and see a) whether you in fact will be available or not and b) whether you get a lift. We can always change it nearer the time if it's the only way you'll be able to make it.

Please, I can't face any more Thai food! Might end up dropping out myself if it ends up with that.

anorak · 18/02/2006 14:23

I saw the guy I know who is a chef at Moor Mill last night.

Chocolate fondue not currently available but they are still doing the chocolate tart (which is to die for).

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 19/02/2006 15:48

I would NOT die for the chocolate tart
I WOULD die for the fondue

Hey you're right Christie, I'd forgotton that. I'm going to have a piece for starter, main course AND dessert . Look forward to seeing you too - it's been ages.

Kayleigh · 23/02/2006 17:30

so sorry girls, but am not going to be able to make this unless I can get a lift as have fractured my leg.

Kayleigh · 24/02/2006 22:12

or on seconds thoughts as Melsy also asked for a venue closer to this way, can we change venue - pretty please

melsy · 24/02/2006 22:19

Another pretty please and it wont be Thai promise !!! Tapas or meze near you Kayleigh??? Trying to think Barnet way & think about how I can get there if not driving ! Whats the Arkley like these days? Loch Fyne? Cant think !

anorak · 26/02/2006 10:48

oh Christie, I am sooo fed up. I slipped down a couple of stairs but caught my ankle badly. What I thought was a bad sprain is actually a fracture.
Am in a cast from my toes to knee and on completely reliant on crutches as unable to put weight on it for 2 weeks. Cast doesn't come off till March 23rd.

Stuff near me, ummm Grittz ! There is a Thai, Chinese or Indian at the top of my road near the Odeon. There is a Harvester not far. There is a new Turkish restaurant in the high street which is really nice and not too expensive.
Actually there is lovely Italian just down in Whetstone which is very reasonable and the food is very good. Not brilliant for parking though.
Am thinking Harvester might be good bet as easy parking, and easy to get too.

What do you think ?
