No one else but me seemed to need dragging - I thought you were there of your own accord. (neatly sidestepping the foot in mouth situation).

I was definitely the oldest and fattest - and I'll squish anyone who argues

Twinkie had the sexiest shoes, though

Twink · 08/12/2003 22:15

She certainly did Cam ! They were gorgeous.

PS SB34 can dance despite drinking, I never try dancing until I should really be going home to bed..

Just want to add my THANKS to everyone for making a great night.
Believe it or not my late reply is not due to a hangover...just finally got some spare time from the children to get on here & type!

THANKS TWINKIE for making me so very welcome (&SB34 obviously) with the travelling & sleep over! Didn't realise about my toilet bag....have to arrange someway of a collection....maybe a daytime meet up with the children? If you can suffer my company again. If you've still got my e-mail address get in touch to arrange something.

Surely the kittens were employed by the place to get people to enjoy a little bit of enforced fun?

mammya · 10/12/2003 00:05

Twinkie, thank you, that's so sweet of you, especially as I think that your situation is actually worse than mine. At least I'm not separated from my dd. I hope and in fact I'm sure that things will soon change for the better for you and your dd (who is rather good looking too )

yes, fisil, I also suspected they were under instructions!

sb34 - stop worrying about your phraseology! I never thought you were referring to me.

Anyway if I want insulting I have three expert children to do it:

Counsellor: I get the impression you really would like to be older.
dd1: Yes
Counsellor: How old would you like to be? As old as your mum?
dd1: Not that old!

dd2: Mummy, can I come in?
Me: No, I'm getting changed.
dd2: Ooooh please. I promise I won't laugh.

A belated thank you custardo. Really enjoyed myself. Thanks for the champagne Twinkie (really liked your shoes) and thanks for the conversation everyone. Just wish I could have talke to more people for longer.

I have been so busy this week I have absolutely not dared log on to mumsnet. I have had deadlines at work, christmas preparations at home, two nativity plays to attend, goodbyes to say at nursery, very important and very long winded job application to write.. it's the first time ever I have resisted the temptation to post on mumsnet for so many days. I have had my new keyboard sitting next to the computer. I haven't even unpacked it yet. I am typing this from our library.
