LadyP, a few of us that went to last years do, have had baby's, so my advice would be to be careful for the next 2 or 3 months! I think that place must have some sort of jinx, either that or it's something they put in the food.

Oh bother, just realised I'll be right in the middle between bd & af. So guess I shouldn't really drink or nick Twinkie's fags. Well, maybe just a teeny weeny little one...

tigermoth · 05/12/2003 18:17

Hi, just a quickie!

I'm hoping to be there by 7.00 pm but I might be a bit late.

Twinkie, I am going to be very busy during the day (and that's not including going to the the french connection sale if I make it ) I'll need a breather at home late afternoon so I'll go straight to the restaurant. Hope you and your friends have a nice bubbly start to the evening.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else tomorrow, in case I don't have the chance to post again.

kayleigh · 05/12/2003 18:24

Hey, have a brilliant evening and don't forget a toast to "absent friends". Will hopefully make next years !

CountessDracula · 05/12/2003 18:58

fisil I'll believe it when I see it (the not drinking/smoking!!)

Have a great time all xx

fisil · 05/12/2003 19:03

Don't, CD. I was driving home tonight thinking "oh well, the fish probably hasn't bitten, so may aswell have a few, and one ciggy won't hurt ..."

I'll blame you, of course!

Twink · 05/12/2003 22:41

One ciggy won't hurt ! Pah don't get me started, we've not met yet !!

Sorry Fisil, I'm the Mumsnet reformed smoker from hell and I WILL haunt you...

Actually, I won't, I'm so shy in reality that I probably won't speak

Have a fantastic night and remember the rest of us!

LadyP · 06/12/2003 08:46

Custardo, did you get my e-mail yesterday? Am a little worried now that you might not have.

I have swollen glands and have been off work for the last couple of days. So,as explained in the original mail, was not going to come tonight (nor Metrobaby for reasons explained in other e-mail), but wanted to know how much we owed. Am very sorry, but Mother Nature conspired against me.

Right, am going back to bed, but will check for a response.

Sorry again and have a fab time.

Janstar · 06/12/2003 12:28

OOOOOOOOOOh................

Only a few hours to go. Are you all excited then??

Need help. I can't get dd2 to take a bottle from dh - from me fine - from dh no way. Normally my attitude would be if she's hungry then she'll take however she's considered underweight by my gp and I've been told to concentrate on getting as much food into her as possible before we see a paediatrician next week so... Do I bring her? I've really been looking forward to tonight but if my memories of last year are right then it will be a normal smokey restaurant and I'm reluctant to bring dd2 into this. I'm gutted at missing tonight but as yet can't think of a solution - any ideas?

fisil · 06/12/2003 13:46

Twink, I want you on my case tonight. I am weak!

Twink · 06/12/2003 13:48

Ks, you've still got a few hours before you need to make a definite decision, please reconsider, there are so many people who would love to see you (again), regardless of how antisocial you may feel. Besides, I quite obviously need a lesson in comma reduction.

Wills your DD2 is probably too little, but when I HAD to go out and leave dd (who would never, ever take a bottle from anyone, even my HV tried) with my parents, they fed her the expressed milk from a Heinz baby basics spoon.

Twink · 06/12/2003 13:49

I'll practice my stern look on the train fisil !

Must dash, need to finish lunch and get to the station, my train's in an hour !!

Janstar · 06/12/2003 14:00

Wills, do you remember on Coronation Street when Curly's baby would only take milk from Norris? Curly and Emma had to wear Norris's cardigan to get the baby to feed when they were holding him. I know it sounds daft but do you think it's worth a try? You could give it a go now instead of waiting till tonight and worrying.

Wills · 06/12/2003 14:06

Good idea Janstar - I'll give it a go - let you know

janh · 06/12/2003 14:14

Wills has Norris's cardigan? That was a stroke of luck!

Tortington · 06/12/2003 14:23
