wed 1st march to Southport... meetup @ 11am at the Southport train station

mummytosteven · 21/02/2006 19:07

can't do 1st March as me and S are going to Prague with my mum (wanted to get a holiday in before S was 2, so we wouldn't have to pay for him!). We are back on 6th March.

I cant do the 1st either as someone is coming out to the house about a computer degree for dh but apparently I have to be here too..plus adam is in playschool on wed afternoons at 1pm.

fastasleep · 21/02/2006 19:30

Can't do 11am I express at 10...Ok I s'pose I can knock the express back to 9am, but then 40 minutes into town, how long is it on the train from central again? 30 mins was it?

Prague been and muttering 'cow' in my head since you told me MTS

biglips · 21/02/2006 23:28

MTS - i dont blame yer about wanting to get a free holiday for S.. as i would too... hope you have a lovely tinme as i love to go there.. let me know all about it!!

nemo - thats fine.. we'll make another day soon

FAS - its takes over 40 mins on train from Central to S'port... i mean if its suitable for you we can make it at 12pm at southport - im just trying to fit everyone in

jaamy · 22/02/2006 10:09

Morning!
Hope everyone ok?
Browny - Belated Happy Birthday wishes to your DH! Always thought F&B was quite good for children and scrummy food too. Glad you enjoyed.
Biglips - sounds like you made the most of your freedom without DD. Have you made a date with your mum for the next time? It's really nice that DD gets to spend time with her great ninny. All DDs' great grandparents are sadly long gone.
MTS prague!
Well A's baptism and christening party are on sun so obviously J has come down with dhickenpox!! The spots appeared today so tho she won't be contagious on sun it will make for some nice scabby photos! Noyhing ever runs smoothly in this house! Hoping that BF will give A some of my imunity and she will at least be well and spot free on her big day...off to get some calomine lotion...

biglips · 22/02/2006 10:13

jaamy- oh no about J came down with Chicken pox... as you are getting calamine lotion - i believe that will make J more itchy so it had been recommended aloe vera and summat else as there was a thread about it

no havent arranged a date (ooh im so excited just thinking about it) but mum said that she can do it once a week if i like - YES PLEASE!!!!

biglips · 22/02/2006 10:16

can you make it onm wed 1st march to s'port?

BROWNY · 22/02/2006 10:37

JAAMY, poor little J, when my girls had it the doctor gave me some anti-histamine syrup that really helped stop the itching, so the girls weren't left with chicken pox scars. Hope she is ok for Sunday!

Just a thought too for you, when the girls had it, ds1 was just a baby - about a week or so later, he had a very high temperature and was poorly for about 10 days, we had to take him to Alder Hey, docs. there said that he had chicken pox but a different variety as he was just a baby - thought I'd warn you!

MTS - also very , hope you have a wonderful relaxing holiday with your mum!

biglips · 22/02/2006 21:25

jaamy - goodluck for sunday!

biglips · 22/02/2006 21:27

or shall i leave it for southport and go somewhere else warmer - indoors as poss be too cold!! - bbbbrrrrr!!!!

jaamy · 23/02/2006 08:26

Yes Biglips might be an idea, has been snowing this am so indoors might be better - but that always costs more £ too! I could only make wed pm. Thanks for good luck for sunday...think am going to need it...J has even more spots today. Browny - will keep extra special eye on A. how long did it take your los to clear up their spots. Think I'm being a bit optomistic hoping that they'll be gone by sun? She's not been itching them. If she could just get rid of the few that are on her face would be good.

fastasleep · 23/02/2006 08:28

Biglips... I don't know.... oh, I hate Feb, I've lost my voice today with a yucky throat and cough... DS just got over his cough yesterday! I might come back tonight about going somewhere... Sigh

Jaamy I hope those spots aren't anything to worry about..

biglips · 23/02/2006 08:49

jaamy - it could be possibly that you wont able to take J to the christening as they usually have it more than a week chicken pox

biglips · 23/02/2006 08:59

jaamy - what time was it snowing!! as i was in bed till 8.30am as couldnt be bovvered getting up today!! - i got up too ealry yesterday and i went to bed at 9pm but went to sleep at 11pm cos of reading a mag in bed

BROWNY · 23/02/2006 11:57

JAMMY, fingers crosssed that J will be ok for Sunday -things like that always happen to me too!.

biglips · 23/02/2006 12:27

its only 5 mins walking distance too and its so lovely too

biglips · 23/02/2006 12:35

BROWNY · 24/02/2006 12:35

Hiya Biglips!! Dh took the kids swimming yesterday, gave me a bit of peace and quiet for a couple of hours (ds2 was having his nap). Glad you found a lovely nursery for your dd and so close too - that was lucky. You'll have to let us know how she gets on - and no tears from you now....

mummytosteven · 24/02/2006 12:37

yet another cold and tummy bug (both me and DS!) so staying in today! just praying my mum doesn't come down with it, as we're going on holidaq next Wed!

biglips · 24/02/2006 13:06

im staying in today as sooo cold out there!!

biglips · 24/02/2006 18:09

well i dont think the playpen is gonna be much use for DD as i was watching her of how far she can climb out and she was on teh top of the playpen like a monkey!!!

Nemo1977 · 24/02/2006 21:37

hello all
not been on a lot this week due to the horrid bug but we are all getting over it now. Dh got his new job which he should be starting in a couple of weeks. More money, company car etc and also be home of evening and weekend. He also has to go away a lot with them so in his first week he will spend a week in london then in may/june he has to go to germany for a week which will be strange but will do us all good I think!! Was DH bday today so we went to frankie and bennys with the kids and dhs parents then to buy some suit, shirts and ties for his new job.

BROWNY · 24/02/2006 23:29

Hiya Nemo, good news about your dh!! Well Done!!!, he will soon know what it is like to put the kids to bed!!
