Tunbridge wells/tonbridge/west kent anyone?

I have a 3 month old dd and really need to get out and meet some other mums in the area or even just email/post on here - just feeling a bit isolated at the moment and all my friends are single and childless. I live in the Tunbridge wells/Tonbridge area and would love to hear from anyone who lives near

10am is fine - dd can have her nap in the car on the way over and starbucks is fine - hope they don't mind buggies!

Its probably coffee republic that I'm thinking of. Its nice in there butnot very big so hope there aren't too many of you. Can't make the morning so have a good time and see you for the nextone!

Well if people are pulling out for the morning then I'm on for afternoon - olemama could do later pm so we could say 3.30 or 4 maybe?
I only came in to this late so its not for me to change your plans!

No one seems to be around except us! I'm on for a meet up so shall we just say 3pm Coffee Republic and hope some of the others join us too.

Re. your second post gingernutlover -NCT is very good for meeting up without having to spend lots of money. Our branch has a hall group and several baby or toddler groups where the children are all of similar ages. Sevenoaks & Tonbridge is one branch (sorry don't know a direct telephone no.) but Tunbridge Wells may be in a different branch. If you're still interested ring NCT enquiries 0870 4448707 and they'll be able to tell you which branch you come under and what the local telephone no. is. Then in our branch you get offered several groups which you can attend and given the phone number of someone who goes to the group - then you can ring them and when you arrive at the group you at least know one person to speak to. Having said that, your dd is quite young still so you may be able to join in a completely new group where no-one knows anyone else yet.

Hi, sorry not been watching this thread properly.

I can't do Friday pm but would be happy to meet up at another time.

As to venues. There are three coffee bars - Coffee Republic which is right next to the Blighs car park, near M&S. Cafe Nero which is very big but has a smoking section and in the afternoon will be full of teenagers puffing away it's at the top of the High Street near to Boots. Costa Coffee, which is quite small but very nice and the staff are very friendly, this is further down the High Street near Pizza Express. Costa Coffee also have the cleanest toilets .

TW is fine - in fact would be easier as I have to go to baby clinic first so can walk in. Fenwicks are good about pushchairs although anywhere would be fine if theres just the 2 of us.

Olemama how about you?

Fenwicks is great - though mice is 2 now so running around space is good rather than pushchair space. Now for the scary bit - how to recognise??

3pm is fine. Ok I'm probably about 10 years older than you. And look it! Will probably be pushing one of those red cars you can get in Vic Place. Brown hair pink woolly jacket. Will hang around at the entrance of the restaurant bit

Hi all,

Hope you had a good meet up. I very rarely get to look at the messages during the week unfortunately, but I wouldnt have come this week any way as daughter has good a bad cough at the moment. If anyone is up for meeting in a couple of weeks, I can do either T Wells or Sevenoaks and can do morning or mid pm onwards, it would be nice to meet other mums. Wednesdays or Fridays are normally my best days but can fit in with what suits everyone else.

Of course! - lets try and get as many as possible to come - even if we have to change the date. Guess olemama won't see this til the weekend so we will see if she can make this one
