sorry to have missed several people too, esp. Soupy (hiya !), and hoxtonchick (but I'm seeing you next week !)

A very lovely crowd. I think regular get-togethers would be fun. Possibly in different formats (ie some with kids, or some with partners, or some at an event etc. etc.)

I think all those who travelled / stayed in a hotel deserve a special mention too, thanks for making the effot.

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 10:55

Yes, all the pg bunnies looked totally fab.

Twiglett · 27/11/2005 11:13

Glad you all had a nice time

will someone get real now and start the morning-after dissection with accomanied bitching please

hunkermunker · 27/11/2005 11:15

I just have a lovely, warm fuzzy feeling that I really need to shake off. Perhaps I'll start a weaning spoons, a SAHM/WOHM and a tit/teat thread so we can resume normal functioning on here before those not there get pissed off with us all being loved up with each other

Stockinghanger · 27/11/2005 11:15

Hunker

suzywong · 27/11/2005 11:16

yes quite right twiglett, come along you lot, or do we have to do it for you?

ThomCat · 27/11/2005 11:17

PMSL Hunker

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 11:36

could do a London Quiz Night: we put forward our most glamorous / knowledgable / most pregnant etc. (possibly with token boke slot too, LOL) against the best of baby world / handbag.com etc. LOL

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 11:37

bloke

Willow2 · 27/11/2005 12:03

Morning all. Just wanted to say that it was lovely to meet so many of you at last... but a shame not to get to talk to everyone. There were so many of us that I found it impossible to find out who everyone was - but then am not as good at socialising as CD is. Think she met pretty much everyone. Must follow in her slipstream next time

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 12:10

my babba just made her first giggle !

YAY!

We had 'half' a giggle last week. This was smile > hee > hee.

Wow, what music. Just thought I'd share with all yesterday's faces...

... cos we are all now in a clique. pmsl.

Ace night! Lovely to meet everyone. It really was a massive event and everyone I chatted with was so fab. Just wish there'd been a chance to meet even more people but there were so many of us that it was impossible.

Sorry for gatecrashing your hotel room guys- thought afterwards that you might have wanted to go to bed... Custy and I clearly didn't want to go to bed as we ended up drinking coffee with large slugs of brandy till 4am.

Custy- you rule! I'm gonna treasure my badge forever and ever. And how you managed to get so many people there and make them all pay for their tea is beyond me. You are a star and the perfect guest as well- the boys LOVE the little cars.

Tortington · 27/11/2005 12:26

thanks you scummy for putting me up. your dp is a superstar for thinking to leave out paracetemol.

thank you soapbox for your lovely gift. she nearly made me blub into mi wild boar starter.

thank you to the mumsnetter with the wonderful beautiful skirt - who are you? who bought me drinks.

thank you to everyone for being honest enough to pay. at one point i was wondering how fast i could run in my fking stupid boots if it didn't add up.

sorry for the debacle which was paying - i really did try to organise it differently but it just didn't happen.

thank you to the mumsnet team who kindly offered the deposit of £250 if it didn't add up. - it did so the cheque is ripped up.

thank you to serenity who bought all those vids - i hope you didn't have to walk with them too far.

i wish i could have danced a bit more and met more people.

sorry for shouting but you lot are a bunch of noisy bastards!

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 12:31

scummymummy you have a lovely smile.

ScummyMummy · 27/11/2005 12:32

Thank you Mr dee. Yours is nice too.

monkeytrousers · 27/11/2005 12:34

There is a tangible glow to this thread

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 12:34

It's kind of frustrating not being able to start / carry on all those conversations... so many people and so little time, plus of course, everyone was crapping themselves LOL.

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 12:36

mt - maybe next time ? Or set up something locally ? I'm sure many local meetups would be inhabited by vaguely sane, warm, interesting and smart people !

hub2dee · 27/11/2005 12:37

custy, really, did every single person pay ? Did it really all add up ?

F*ck me, I'm speechless, LOL

Flossam · 27/11/2005 12:39

Aren't we all a good honest lot then? So pleased. Thanks again Custy.

CountessDracula · 27/11/2005 12:43

That is quite amazing

Well done everyone!

wilbur so sorry I missed you - I'm sure there were others but I seemed to talk to at least 100 people so I was probably accosting some non-mumsnetters.

Very amusing moment in the loo with (I think) Carmenere (FABULOUS Farah Fawcett flicks y'know ) and Delgirl when a pg woman with no badge came in - it must have seemed that we were all staring at her tits (in fact looking for her badge) and then demanded "Who are you then?"

Of course it turned out she was upstairs We did recruit her to mumsnet and tell her we would look out for her so Miranda, where are you????

OP posts:
Enid · 27/11/2005 12:45

lol she must have thought you were mental

CountessDracula · 27/11/2005 12:48
