*Sheffield Spa* - Feb 2006. Anyone want to come?

Know this is well in advance but you knoow how this books early!

It is my birthday in February and my sister has suggested going to the Spa on the Saturday either before or after it - probably 11th or 18th.

For anyone knot been before nearby it is Spa 1877 in Sheffield city centre. It costs £20 for a 3 hour Spa session, although there are optional extras like mud wraps and scrubs if you want it. Not tried any of those yet.

The Spa has 7 experiences - 4 hot and 3 cold, inlcuding tropical shower, steam room, ice cave, aromotheraphy steam room, sauna, and a plunge pool. There is also the Hamman in the centre. And outside the Spa is the relaxation room serving complimentary drinks.

Saturdays are women only days. And don't worry - you wear swim suits And you get a dressing gown and slippers, plus towels, to use too.

I would probably need to think of booking this by the end of December if not earlier.However I don't think you actually have to pay in advance, but they do take your name and contact number (or address).

Is anyone interested?

So far there is me, my sister and maybe my mum (if I can persuade her). Think Katzuk said she was interest too.

On the day you will need to bring your own swim wear, shower stuff (for after ) and your money. Towels, gown and slipper shoes are provided.

The Spa is booked for us between 3-6pm, so worth getting there a little early, so we can sort out gowns/shoes, etc before our time starts.

For those who haven't been before you will need to complete a brief medical card (tick list thing).

Think you pay on leaving the Spa.

I had a lovely time. My scrub was amazing. My skin feels great still. Loved the hot chocolate too Not sure about that plunge pool still though!

I really enjoyed the food at the noodle bar - so much though!

I had a fab time. And thank you all for my card and present You are all great!

I had a really good time too. Managed to find station (thanks to fab directions and rendezvous with brother and DH (whose opening gambit was "why is your nose red? Have you been drinking?" errrr, no, just all that steam and sauna maybe?).
Spa was lovely, nice to relax and chat, and meal was great too and very good value I thought.

I can't do the 10th as going to see Robbie Williams. TBH as it is many of the children's first school year, maybe later in September would be best? What do you think?

Hi, I missed yesterday's meet as have only just found MN - last weekend in fact, and was away this weekend. I would like to gatecrash the next meet though, and my birthday is is Sept too! Hope a new gatecrasher would be welcome

And no doubt by September, you'll be so addicted to Mn that we will all know you fromc hatting on here so much

Also, look out for other local meets - with and without the children. These tend to pick up in the warmer months especially.
