*Sheffield Spa* - Feb 2006. Anyone want to come?

Know this is well in advance but you knoow how this books early!

It is my birthday in February and my sister has suggested going to the Spa on the Saturday either before or after it - probably 11th or 18th.

For anyone knot been before nearby it is Spa 1877 in Sheffield city centre. It costs £20 for a 3 hour Spa session, although there are optional extras like mud wraps and scrubs if you want it. Not tried any of those yet.

The Spa has 7 experiences - 4 hot and 3 cold, inlcuding tropical shower, steam room, ice cave, aromotheraphy steam room, sauna, and a plunge pool. There is also the Hamman in the centre. And outside the Spa is the relaxation room serving complimentary drinks.

Saturdays are women only days. And don't worry - you wear swim suits And you get a dressing gown and slippers, plus towels, to use too.

I would probably need to think of booking this by the end of December if not earlier.However I don't think you actually have to pay in advance, but they do take your name and contact number (or address).

Is anyone interested?

I'd love to come, too! However, life is all a bit very unpredictable at the mo. We return to the UK in a fortnight, with no long term plan whatsoever. Strong possibility we'll end up renting a house in Sheffield. This is all a rambling way of saying that if anyone drops out nearer the time, I might be up for taking their place - but can't commit to anything yet.

purpleturtle - you will be able to add on right near the end anyway I am sure. I only have to confirm numbers 48 hours before! Great to hear from you; didn't realise you were coming back to the UK.

Well, you can only stay in Oz 90 days at a time on a tourist visa, so we booked the return flight at the time. 'Home' for Christmas. To be honest, we had hoped that we would have something somewhere in place by now - you know, just little things like a job, a house and a school for dd! But we don't.

Yes; that is what BIL got when he went over there. They sponsored him for up to 4 years, but he didn't like it and came back after a year. Luckily my non-SIl came back with him (she is an Aussie).

Clary - there most certainly IS room for you - as one person has dropped out due to pregnancy I believe! So of course oyu are welcome.

Wedgiesmum - yes, she can come as there a little bit of flexibility.

Really sorry MB but there are no more places for the scrub. They can only do one every half hour, and there are already 6 booked. If there are any other treatments you are interested int hough please let me know.
