Waiting for Kara...

OP posts:
Indith · 16/09/2011 19:06

Shall we attempt to meet Monday morning in Wharton park then? Is M full days next week? If weather is foul then we can just shift the time to a little later and have lunch somewhere instead.

spiggy · 17/09/2011 20:57

sounds like a plan Grin M is full days now- thank goodness. He's been complaining about having to come home!

spiggy · 19/09/2011 07:30

Just checked the weather and it looks ok. what time are we meeting? Had a better night last night so am not quite the walking dead!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/09/2011 07:51

Will have to give it a miss today, got too much on as have been away this weekend.
Is anyone going to the LLL meeting in Sacriston next week?

spiggy · 19/09/2011 09:10

did you go anywhere nice Kara? Will have to organise a proper meet soon.

Are you still ok for today Indith? Can postpone if it is easier for you.

LeggyBlondeNE · 19/09/2011 10:45

Oo, I just heard about the LLL meeting and hope to go. Do you have the details Kara? I just got told the day and place I think.

Indith · 19/09/2011 11:42

Goodness I'm useless. Got out of toddlers, saw a text from Spiggy and said "oh bugger today is Monday". Anyway, erm, tomorrow instead Grin. 11ish in the park or if weather rubbish 12 at teh pub with the soft play near the Arnison?

Must put that LLL meeting on my calendar or I'll forget that one too.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/09/2011 15:11

I've sent invite to the event to Leggy, Indith and Spiggy so you all have the details.
I will be going.

spiggy · 19/09/2011 19:23

what is the soft play pub? I get lost easily so I need specifics Grin

LeggyBlondeNE · 26/09/2011 16:43

Kara, how was it? I had to meet students this morning. It was over in 10 minutes but I was down in Stockton and didn't think I'd make it up to Spenny in time.

spiggy · 26/09/2011 21:27

oh bum- I forgot that was on today. Ah well, I couldn't have made it anyway. My mother is coming over to look after the kids while I go to London for work (DP and T coming with me) so I've had to clean the house from top to bottom. I bet there is still something that I've forgotten to do that she will find....

When is the next meeting? Will try to come to that one.

Shall we start planning our Christmas night out? It isn't that long to go really and if we start planning now we might get it organised in time Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 26/09/2011 21:39

Leggy - I didn't make it, due to horrid migraine.

BTW I ought to give you my mobile number - if you in Stockton and do have the time you are welcome to drop by for a coffee if I am at home.

Christmas night out - yep let's give it a go! Hopefully DD's sleep will improve, I am struggling to get her down before 7.30 atm!

I probably won't be able to suggest any dates atm, my Dad may come over in December so I'll need to know if this is so and what dates he think he'll be coming.

spiggy · 26/09/2011 22:15

Hope you feeling better now Kara, migraines are evil. Does DD stay down once she is in bed? I can get T in bed about 6:30 but there is no guessing about how long he will stay down once he's there. Sometimes it is 20 mins, sometimes 5 hours. Would be nice to have some pattern at least!

What food do you fancy? I don't mind really- but I do want an ebony cocktail or five. Can sort dates out nearer the time- hopefully there won't be several feet of snow to put us off this time.

LeggyBlondeNE · 27/09/2011 11:37

Oo, yes I'll be down every Thursday this term and some Mondays - my phone number is on my FB profile (for now; I keep thinking of deleting it the more I discover about their information harvesting!) so you can text me yours.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 27/09/2011 20:43

Fab! Mondays we are normally at home in the afternoons after 1.30pm, on Thursdays we are normally back around 1pm.

DD doesn't do too bad, Spiggy. I am trying to put her down earlier than 7.30pm. She normally does sleep until about 10.30-11pm. Occasionally I have to go up 10mins after I ut her down to fed her to sleep again.
She is still waking 1-2 times a night though after this. Hoping that this will settle down come December and she starts solids.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 27/09/2011 20:45

Oh I am seeing my Dad when we go over to Spain in 3 weeks so will ask him then about dates.

I don't know about food, shall we look at some Christmas menus? I will be driving but happy to have mocktails in Ebony first off, I do love those raspberry refreshers!

Indith · 01/10/2011 17:39

SPB and I were talking about Christmas night out today :)

10th December? Not too early yet not too late. For most places you kind of have to book pretty early though the Capital always seems to have space later than everyone else, probably something to do with curry not being that Christmassy! Tapas would be great fun although El Coto is the best place and is a bit of a walk from Ebony Grin. No Jaggerberries for me this year :( , wretched foetus Wink.

We shall have to do some form of cake or something before then.

Leggy about your pool, I do need to head up Gilesgate some point int he next week or so though it has to be daytime so don't know how that works with work for you. Can't do evenings since dh works away. Probably best if I send dh before or after rowing one weekend? Before would be 9ish, after would be 11.30 ish. I shall pm you my number so we can sort it out. I'm all excited now knowing I have a pool, must get a liner ordered :).

Indith · 01/10/2011 17:53

Oi! SPB! Over here! I know you are out there, I've seen you posting about a tumble drier

spiggy · 02/10/2011 08:11

We made it back from London in one piece. London+heatwave+small baby is not a good combination.

I'll have to check the 10th with DP as it is a home match. If he can get back in time for me to tart myself up then it will be fine What time are we likely to meet?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/10/2011 10:29

I check with DH, want to know if it is a DSS weekend, if it is that won't be a problem as will tell Dad not to come up that weekend.

spiggy · 02/10/2011 19:45

Indith- before I pack them away just in case I persuade DP for another, do you want to borrow a birthing ball, maternity tens or a doppler?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 02/10/2011 20:35

I also have some clary sage oil and RLT tablets. I also have some multivits for pregnancy too you can have.

LeggyBlondeNE · 03/10/2011 09:11

10th Dec might be do-able. Although I think that's in term time so of course restaurants will be full of student groups having their Xmas nights out.

Indith, will call you later today!

Indith · 03/10/2011 19:11

Time, 8 ish as usual?

I now there will be students around but if we leave it later everyone ends up with all their weekends booked up and we don't manage it! Or it snows and we cancel.

Had my scan today, everything looks good. Sonographer had a slip of the tongue. Knowing feels all sorts of odd.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/10/2011 20:47

Well they get it wrong!
I take it you didn't want to know!

We need a date to meet up for cake!
