I don't imagine anyone will be driving ... but the trains are great and go on until late.

I'm hoping for a bit of company on the way home.

outside and in !! they'd invited us and 4 other couples to a 'do at ours' the email said. When we got there it was a 'Parlour games' evening and we had to play give us a clue and Pictionary type games. It was a VERY bizarre night!

desperatehousewife · 09/10/2005 17:51

I love games nights - that's my fave type of night! Much underrated I think board games!

I might do a Brighton and Hove Monopoly night soon girls....so watch out!

MABS · 09/10/2005 17:54

I'd be up for that hun, but last nt I was expecting the only type of games played to be of the drinkin' variety. There were also many references to taking clothes off and swapping partners which was a little worrying as there was no-one i fancied!! JOKE

spidermama · 09/10/2005 17:57

I've heard there's a lot of that sort of thing going on in Brighton MABS. Are you familiar with Skinny Dippers? OMG!

MotherFunkers was a great night out. A bunch of fat old mums (m,yself included) in unfashionable clothes doing dodgy dancing to 'hits' from decades gone by.

It was great because there was no pressure. Just a huge girls night out.

A very long way from my trendy London clubbing days that's for sure.

i agree with you dh - think board games are great - love playing them with the kids especially junior who want to be a millionnaire - becuase i look ded brainy when i know the answers.

monopoly does go on a bit though - i hear theres a new version which includes the fking congestion charge!

desperatehousewife · 10/10/2005 09:00

fantastic custy! can't believe congestion charge is now £8. Outrageous.

Does it also include gang land fighting and piercing/tattoo competitions?

Tortington · 10/10/2005 13:52

RnBlood · 10/10/2005 18:25

spidermama · 10/10/2005 22:33

spidermama · 11/10/2005 09:24

This is what I went to

I may even go to the next one in Dec.

OP posts:
spidermama · 11/10/2005 22:21

It was packed.

unicorn · 11/10/2005 22:25

well SM... you need to arrange an xmas night out for the Brighton posse (and any other inebriates).

(If I come I will have to 'crash' somewhere - as I don't think SW trains like me too much after my last Brighton sojourn !

Tortington · 11/10/2005 23:37

sounds like a plan - although dont know if everyone will be able to do two xmas meets

sunnydelight · 12/10/2005 18:55

I'd love a Brighton meet up before Christmas - can't do the London one. I had just come on here and was still lurking when the last one was arranged.

desperatehousewife · 12/10/2005 19:50

well it sounds like we need to do another Brighton meet up soon anyway. Let's try and do an easy one soonish.

Will get my thinking cap on and maybe suggest something.

spidermama · 12/10/2005 20:22

The next Motherfunkers is on 6th Feb, but it's more about dancing than chatting so might not be ideal.
I was lurking too sunnyd and too shy to join the last meet up. Will try and make the next one.

OP posts:
desperatehousewife · 12/10/2005 21:47

that's why I think we need a quick, informal meet up - a coffee somewhere? or a playground?

Tortington · 12/10/2005 21:52

or wine bar
