There seem to be loads of us here, so why not? I'm still new (only been here two weeks) so would be great to meet some new faces.

I don't mind what/where/when!...

Hi ladies,

Can I join in/tag along? Am a recently seperated mum to one lively, boisterous 18 month old dd. We live in Thorpe Hamlet/TSA borderish. I dont drive. But am happy to travel into city/roundabouts.

MegBusset · 22/01/2011 19:59

Oasis you must be near me then :) of course you are welcome to come.

Sorry - just caught up with this again.
Thursday 3rd is fine for me. No DCs in attendance.

oasisofcalm · 22/01/2011 21:59

hi ladies,

thanks for welcome. So-Thursday 3rd? Fine. Where is the current venue-has one even been decided upon?
Looking forward to meeting you allx

Merrylegs · 23/01/2011 10:46

It's 10am at the Tea Lounge Ber St I think, oasis. We have a facebook meet-up group if you are on FB and would like to join. (Tis secret!) You have to pm Fimbo with your FB name and she will add you.

peanutbutterkid · 23/01/2011 10:56

I intend to turn up on the 3rd Feb, too, with a nearly 3yo (so not for long... Grin).
I also have a y2 DS but mine is a maniac, so perhaps not fit to socialise with.

Merrylegs · 23/01/2011 11:00

Excellent!

(I think we're going to need a bigger boat Grin)

FoundWanting · 23/01/2011 11:36

Another Year 2 DS here. He struggled in Year 1, it is a tricky time but it does improve.

MegBusset · 24/01/2011 11:39

I have booked a big table at Tea Lounge :)

KurriKurri · 24/01/2011 13:55

Well done Meg and thank you (you are an impressively organized woman Smile)

MegBusset · 24/01/2011 14:30

Thanks can you tell my brain is underoccupied as SAHM Grin

1973magpie · 24/01/2011 14:41

Well done Meg, should be easy to spot us then - how many are coming in total now?

bronze · 24/01/2011 16:34

Are you going to wear a red carnation?

MegBusset · 25/01/2011 16:31

I will be easy to spot as have regulation MN coat (Merrell Haven if cold, Boden if warm) and will be the one trying to herd two small boys :)

OP posts:
bronze · 25/01/2011 16:36

I wouldn't recognise those coats if they jumped out and bit me but I'm sure Imanage. I'm forever muttering mumsnet to dh when out and about or watching tv.
I'm tall, dark hair and I carry my 22 mth old in a sling, please wave if you see me come in

KurriKurri · 25/01/2011 19:49

Look on my profile to see what I look like. According to my DD I closely resemble an ancient gnome.

You will have to wave when you spot me, or I will wander around short sightedly accosting completely unconnected people. Grin

Fleecy · 25/01/2011 22:07

Oh I didn't know we had to wear a certain coat or we wouldn't be allowed to join Grin

MegBusset · 25/01/2011 22:17

Lol no I'm just easily influenced by S&B threads Grin

OP posts:
Fleecy · 26/01/2011 16:25

That's my usual haunt here! I lurk but don't post a lot on active convos (which is how I saw this) but post regularly on the wise and avid threads. Not terribly stylish and glam in the flesh - don't tell 'em Grin

4madboys · 26/01/2011 16:44

oh hello, i am in norwich too, i may be able to make this, if i do i would have ds4 who is 2, and dd who is 8 wks, would that be ok?

i am a bit of a lurker on mumsent, but have posted on preg thread and plenty of others, just not loads.

4madboys · 26/01/2011 16:48

oh and just to let you know a bit about me, i am mum to four boys ages, 11, 8, just 6 and 2 and new baby girl.

i live off ipswich road in norwich and my eldest in first yr at cns, the 8 and 6 yr old are in yr 4 and yr1 at eaton primary.

little two hang out with me all day, i carry dd in a moby wrap most of the time, and am happy to have kiddy meet ups, but i dont drive so need to be able to walk/get the bus.

i am on fb, sarah rebecca pearson, pic of baby as profile pic, i keep trying to update my info on here and failing.

MissyMorrison87 · 26/01/2011 16:51

Yes yes i would live to join in. I know im a newbie and all but i'm going insane at the moment with a lack of social life :P

onadifferentplanettoday · 26/01/2011 16:52

am loving all the FB friend requests I'm getting on the secret FB page my real life friends are wondering why I've suddenly become so popular !!

Fimbo · 26/01/2011 16:53

Missy Morrison - inbox me your fb name and photo description.

4 madboys - have found you on fb and messaged you.

I might come to the meet up, but would need to leave at 11 to get to work. Will have no children.

4madboys · 26/01/2011 16:55

ok, will go and look at fb, and no children fimbo!! i can get you to hold dd whilst i wrestle with ds4 then Grin

i too need to get back out and doing things, have stayed in a bit since having dd, purely as i have been so sleep deprived, but things are settling down now and the elder three are back at school so its easier to get out and about :)
