Dh had the pleasure of taking off ds' smudged spider face. Don't know if my Mum& Dad's face cloth has recovered though! (we were across there for supper). There were lots of giggles from the bathroom though, so they must have had fun - especially as ds had gone in to the bathroom in tears as he was being sent to bed slightly prematurely as he had spilt his milk after being told to be careful.

Sorry you weren't able to spot us Sweetkitty. Geegeesmum approached one lost looking mum, and wasn't embarassed, as it was Starshaker, and I approached another and was looked at very strangely when I asked her if she was meeting some people she didn't know . I did spot one pregnant lady, and wondered if it was you, but then "lost" her.

Ds must have really enjoyed himself - he was aboslutely exhaused. Dh had to go and wake him up at 7.30 - absolutely unheard of for him.

It was nice to meet new faces - geegeesmum, starshaker, Ericblack. I'd already met Sammac, Aimsmum and FangAche (Toothache) - and knew that they weren't hairy truckers!

Ericblack - if you fancy taking your ds to the mini rugby. we'll be going along next week, getting there about 12.45. You could cat me if you want.

jambuttie · 31/10/2005 09:18

LOL @ sweetkitty. Loobie and I were like that at the last meetup in Edinburgh. We never got to meet anyone else though but our kids had a ball

FangAche · 31/10/2005 09:19

Aw SK - We were keeping an eye out for a big pregnant lost-looking lady!

I had a fab time! Ds had an even better time..... I just could not get all the black paint off his face though and he's gone to his Nursery haloween party today looking like he's got black mascara and eyeliner on!

Prettybird and EricBlack - My ds didn't stop talking about your ds's allllllllllllll the way home! And apparently they are coming to Liverpool this weekend with us (just in case you're wondering where they are)!

Aimsmum - Was surprised you didn't look a bit more 'charred'!

And thankfully ds's big brown bent ballon sword was well burst before the train journey...PHEW!

I'll task myself to organise the Post-Christmas Meet-up if thats okay with everyone?

Prettybird · 31/10/2005 09:26

Ds' "sword" is still intact - survived the train journey home plus a trip to my mum & dad's. But then, it was his third sword!

He was playing at being a sword wielding wizard, complete with wizard's hat from yesterday and one of his (many) wanns (aka chopsticks).

FangAche: Geegeesmum suggested Noah's Park (?) in Perh for a meet up. I think it's a soft play area. I could take some people form Glasgow if transport was a problem. (OK, as I don't have a people carrier, I could take one adult and maybe two kids, depending on their car seats)

sweetkitty · 31/10/2005 09:28

Thanks I do feel a bit of an idiot if it weren't so busy I would have asked a few people.

DD did have fun running around the mosaic for a little while though she looked so tiny compared to the "huge" children there.

Will definately come to the next one though but be a bit more organised. The journey into Glasgow and back was a bit too much for me on my own I have to admit but should be easier once this ones born (or will it)?

FangAche · 31/10/2005 09:38

SK - All our kids were running about there too. Your dd was probably playing with them! Next time we'll wear badges.

sweetkitty · 31/10/2005 11:39

fangache - very probably she was, she was the little one in the lilac dungarees who kept stealing everyone else balloons

next time I will arrange to meet one of you at the train station or somewhere like that at a defined time and point, it's my own fault!

FangAche · 31/10/2005 11:41

OMG SK - She took my ds's balloon and he came up to me and cliped!!! I told him not to be so silly coz she was just a little girl. He seemed happy enough about that. LOL!

sweetkitty · 31/10/2005 11:52

Aww bless him!!! Not heard the word cliped in a while too

She the most unstrange baby I've ever known kept having to pull her back from strangers she was running up to and "talking" to.

Prettybird · 31/10/2005 12:12

Really sorry to have missed you Sweetkitty.

We were the women squeezed in beside/between the fountain and the mosaic, on the right hand side if you were standing on the mosaic looking at buzzywares.

Glad you went Aimsmum - I did think of you all yesterday. Noah's Ark in Perth is quite good, but gets very very busy at the weekends especially if it is raining. Here is a link -Noah's Ark

weesaidie · 31/10/2005 13:48

Sorry I didn't make it guys, meant to post yesterday! I have two assignments due and dd was at her dads anyway!!

I'll try for next time.

FangAche · 31/10/2005 13:50

Weesaidie - Its a good job you didn't!!! No trains were running between Edin and Falkirk! They were running a bus to Falkirk High Station and getting the train from there. See you next time.

weesaidie · 31/10/2005 13:52

What is the world coming to eh?

I think I am free January...

Just wanted to say Good luck to Prettybird today. I've got everything crossed for you and hope that your instincts are wrong. But if the worst comes to the worst I hope things happen quickly.

Thinking of you.

Second that best of luck prettybird will be thinking of you xx

geegeesmum · 01/11/2005 11:17

Good luck from me too whatever happens.

Prettybird · 01/11/2005 12:45

Wel, the scan showed it had been a twin pregnancy as I had suspected. But the sacs have shown no prgoress since 2 weeks ago - still no fetal pole etc even though by their dates, I would now be 7+ weeks, so basially there is no hope. But I have to go back again* next week.

Glad I decided not to tell my parents: they have enough on their plates at the moment, and it would have meant that they went away on holiday tomorrow in the same limbo that I am in.

FangAche · 01/11/2005 12:58

PB - So so sorry. Twins. So unfair they are making you wait until next week.

jambuttie · 01/11/2005 13:31
