I'm from Leeds too, Leeds 10. Not a bad area, has its rough parts - my kids are 5 (DD) and 3 (DS)!!!

Back at school a week tomorrow waaaaahhhhhhheeeeeyyyy!!!

Don't want rid of them - just want to separate them. They are soooooooo bored and as a result are ripping each other to shreds!!!!!

mine go back next week too!!
Back to having to get dressed before 10!!

crazydazy · 28/08/2005 09:02

Yeah that is a downside isn't it?

I always prepare the packed lunches in the morning so they are fresh!! DS will be going to lunch club 3 times a week and so will have both lunches to prepare!!!!

DD has got used to sleeping in and going to bed late, am going to have to change her sleep pattern this week!!!

My ds doesn't start till 19th Sept! I think it's just cos they stagger the reception class intake though so they don't all get freaked out by staring 30 of them together. I'm really nervous for him cos he still makes a fuss when we leave him at nursery sometimes asn he's been going since he was 16 weeks so it's not like he's not used to it.

edgetop · 28/08/2005 14:28

hi everone my ds goes back on 12th september,he says he don,t want to go,his teachers are coming to visit him on the 6thsept maybe that might make him feel better.

Bozza · 28/08/2005 21:50

DS is starting in reception on Friday 2nd. They stagger and he is on the first day. And i',m making him have school dinners.

Have never lived in BD7 either! Have worked there on temp work though.

Currently in HD7, although have lived in HD3 and LS6 (as a student).

Have also lived in NR1, YO11 and IP27, but that's getting some distance from WY now!

Anyone else from or near HD7?

Hello fellow West Yorkshirers! Just a quick post to let you know DS2, Thomas Alexander, arrived 3 weeks early on the 25th August. Had a very speedy labour (it says hour 1hr 7 mins on my notes but even i can't boast it was really that fast !) and the most wonderful midwife at Huddersfield who really helped me stay calm and controlled.

Lack of sleep taking its toll at the moment - DS is 2.3 and I really can't remember the early days with him.

I have never lived at BD7 either!!! But I did go to school in Bradford! Have been an HD person for most of childhood but now crossed (just) into WF territory.

MumOnaMission · 30/08/2005 12:24

Congrats Sarah.

Never lived in BD7. LS15, WF3, and whatever postcode Moortown is (27?) and now WF12. Before all that I lived in the Isle of Man for 10 years where I was born. Totally lost the accent so consider myself more of a yorkshire lass now. Lived here for two thirds of my life. Oops, giving my age away now!!

romany4 · 30/08/2005 13:49

I live in WF9!
Before that, I was in Scotland

edgetop · 30/08/2005 23:16

Nbg · 30/08/2005 23:25

Helloooo!

I live in Mapplewell (Barnsley), been here for 1 year now. Lived in Lofthouse (WF3) Wakefield before Barnsley for nearly 4 years but I'm originally from York.
When we moved to Wakefield I worked in Leeds for a while and then was promoted and ended up in sunny Bradford.

Brother and Sister in Law live in Scisset, know that area quite well (Denby Dale, Flockton etc)

I have dd who is nearly 2 btw!

sarahhal · 31/08/2005 11:14

Hi all.

NBG we're in Flockton but DS goes to nursery more your way in Royston as it's on both mine and DH's way to work near Pontefract. Romany - I actually work in WF9 ...or least when i go back at the end of April after this wonderful maternity leave!
