Just out of interest, as I've only recently got into this site.

Was wondering who was local to me.

This sounds really bad but I have only seen the midwife in Scissett once and can't remember her name! I have to have 2 midwives due to being out of the catchment area for Barnsley but I seem to see the Barnsley lady more regularly. Valerie rings a bell though.

Bozza · 25/08/2005 09:34

It doesn't sound bad at all Chloe especially now when its the holiday season so you may not get your usual midwife anyway. I think it is still Valerie because I've seen her around the surgery. Now you will be looking at people in the street and wondering if they are me. To narrow it down - I am a bit older than you

chloe55 · 25/08/2005 10:18

Is that the sale at the rugby ground?

edgetop · 25/08/2005 10:23

no chloe55 its the one at dewsbury market in town centre.

SleepySuzy · 25/08/2005 12:10

Hi Magscat, we usually get there any time between 7.30 and 9.00am, so not too early. Obviously the earlier you get there, the less will have been sold.

Hi Chloe55, we were in Clayton West yesterday, looking at a car advertised on Ebay! (needless to say, he won't be bidding!)

Was he a fairly young lad (boy racer type) who has a shed opposite the school Suzy?

SleepySuzy · 25/08/2005 12:16

He said he was selling it for the other guy, but the car was sat in a pub carpark (shoulder of mutton, i think). The guy we met had a big blue transit van, and had short, kind of strawberry blonde hair, quite tall. (him, not the hair)

I know the pub well, not sure about the lad though. Am just being nosey really

SleepySuzy · 25/08/2005 12:38

Well if you look in the car park there is a grey Mazda MX-6 there, but it is a bit of a wreck, badly advertised - think someone will be disappointed. this is it

chloe55 · 25/08/2005 12:41

Ah - saw it there this am, thought it must be someone who had left it after a drink in the pub. I will keeo my eyes peeled now to see if I know who it belongs to!

SleepySuzy · 25/08/2005 12:42

Cool, take a look inside, I think he was living in it!

Bozza · 25/08/2005 12:42

Looks like a shed to me suzy. Will see if I can see it on my way home - have to go past the pub.

SleepySuzy · 25/08/2005 12:43

It is actually worse than it looks on ebay. I think dp thought it would be a nice little project, but it's rotten underneath.

Hi, I'm from North Lincolnshire but I spent 4 years living in BD7 while at Uni. I really enjoyed my time in Bradford and think of myself as a semi-Yorkshire lass.

Bozza · 26/08/2005 21:57

Well I have found that I can actually see it from my bedroom window. Does it belong to the landlord it seems to live in the pub car park?

Magscat · 27/08/2005 07:53

Loobywoof - when were you at the Uni? I was there 89-92

I have lived at loads of places around BD7 Student Land including Gt Horton Rd, Waverley Rd, Arncliffe Terr, Grantham Rd. Oh and University Halls but moved out half way through 1st year cos couldn't stand the constant noise!

loobywoof · 27/08/2005 19:25

I was there from 91-95. Lived in the brand new Kirkstone Hall for 1st year and then Grantham Road. Snap!!! Kept that house for 2 years I think and then moved up to Cecil Avenue which was by Horton Grange Park. Think Bradford was a great Uni - very friendly and so much countryside close by.

mumtosomeone · 27/08/2005 19:32

is this for BD7's only?

Sorry Mumtosomeone - definately not BD7's only - just one of those moments when you realise how small the world is. Couldn't resist asking Loobywoof about it. I don't live there any more so I'll shut up about it now
