The other thread was almost full, so here's a bright, shiny new one.

And here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And just in case you haven't discovered it yet, here is the recipe thread. Some truly lovely recipes on here that are worth a try.

Hellmans - 1.5 g carbs per 100g. I wonder what it has in it that Delouis doesn't have?

BlackAffronted · 13/08/2013 20:36

Paprika pork, mushrooms & spring greens for dinner.

StuntNun · 13/08/2013 20:50

A bit of a chaotic day today so my food was a little random.

B: Greek yoghurt and double cream, melon
S: Peperami and consomme
L: mushrooms fried in butter and some pork scratchings!
D: sausage, BBQ chicken thigh, stir fried pak choi and more mushrooms

CheeseAndFriedMushrooms · 13/08/2013 21:01

Another day of being really hungry Hmm had so many babybels it's unbelievable. Loads of veg alongside my protein too, stir fry veg in butter at lunch and a whole cauliflower cheese. Tons of water too. Planning on the tuna burgers for tomorrow, they sound lush. DH is away for a while so hard to be bothered to cook anything fancy for just me.

BeingMoreDog · 13/08/2013 21:38

Can I jump aboard? Have been trying to eat pale-ish since Fri, but think general low carb will suit me more. No bread, cakes, rice, pasta, potatos since then, but I have just ruined things by eating a bar rather than a square of dark chocolate! Shredded beforehand, so not sure whether to feel more or less guilty!

Finding it much easier than expected (and not just because of the Bar of Doom), but am scared of low carb flu - does it always happen??

Mouseface · 13/08/2013 22:41

You're very welcome IBO - why not be my buddy for a bit, we can do this together? I'm due to go away on Friday for 2 weeks but will have t'internet so should be able to post. We can compare notes.

For example, tonight, we had some pork steaks that needed using so we chucked it in a pan, fried in butter, added double cream, a few black peppercorns, a smidge of white wine, bit of garlic and shrooms, was yum! DH had his with pasta, I had mine solo as I wasn't v hungry.

If you need a helping hand, hug or chat, just say! We're all in the same boat as it were :) xxx

I'm off to bed as we have a busy few days.

Night lovely Campers :) xxx

BlackAffronted · 14/08/2013 07:53

Being, Ive never had carb flu, so no it doesnt always happen :) Have you read all the bootcamp rules? Good luck on your journey, you will get lots of support in here.

IBO · 14/08/2013 08:46

Good morning lovely bootcampers :)

New day new start. Thank you for advises and support, I have done ok yesterday but I am sure I will be better today :) I just put too much pressure on myself I guess.

I had boiled eggs with mayo for breakfast and roasted pork belly is waiting in the fridge to be eaten for lunch.
I made courgette and swede pancakes for dinner yesterday so I will have leftovers for dinner today again.
Tonight is my last chance to go out before kids are back from holiday but I have migraine today so I might only have sparkling water instead of alcohol..

Beryl 36 miles!! OMG.. well done..

Cheese are you drinking enough water? It usually helps to fill me in.

Moredog of course, jump in! The best support team is ready to help :)

Mouse you are just beautiful Flowers

BeingMoreDog · 14/08/2013 08:52

A couple of questions (sorry if they've been covered, will sit back and read thread/spreadsheet shortly):

does mint tea/detox tea count as water? I drink loads of this, but seem to be incapable of remembering to drink plain water Hmm

I don't want to actually lose weight, just change shape by losing the tummy flab and love handles. Is this the right woe for this?

captainmummy · 14/08/2013 09:09

Beingmoredog - I think mint tea or any black/green tea will count towards your water intake. Be sure to measure how much tho, as it's hard to drink that much tea (or it is for me!) I drink black rooibos but I also drink 2.5L water, so any tea is extra on top.

This WOE is great for losing the love-handles. After decades on various low-fat diets, I still had huge love-handles that made my bum look square Blush - but after a year of LCing, they have (mostly) gone! I can still barely believe it myself, but it's true.

And all on eating cream, cheese, butter, fat...Grin

IBO · 14/08/2013 09:52

Moredog - I am not sure about green/black/white tea as they contain caffeine but any other herbal tea counts as water :)

BeenieBaby · 14/08/2013 11:03

Agreed captain. I lost lots of weight previously on ww but couldn't shift those love handles! I'm now shocked to see them melt away... Thanks biwi for starting the mn LC revolution! Flowers

captainmummy · 14/08/2013 14:43

IBO - I don't think green/rooibos/white tea does have caffeine. Builders tea does, I know. But my Rooibos packet says caffeine-free, and green/white tea are the same (difference harvesting/treatments)

Secondsop · 14/08/2013 14:54

Does anyone have that information about how much water you should drink according to your body weight?

IBO · 14/08/2013 15:08

Green and white tea has caffeine for sure :) of course not as much as coffee. And white tea as well.

green tea

IBO · 14/08/2013 15:11

Secondsop if you have a look atSpreadsheet of Fabulousness bootcamp rules you will find it :)

Mouseface · 14/08/2013 15:39

Captain - I said exactly that to DH last night, I have a waste !!! Grin I was like, do I look different? And he said after about a 3 second wait, "Erm, is the right answer yes?" Grin

I looked at myself naked (used to be a no no no moment) earlier today and I can SEE that my shape is changing. I managed to get a ring off that I'd been trying to remove for months too! Tis all good! :)

Today has been - Water 2L so far.

B - omelette with shrooms and 1/4 of a small green pepper, cooked with butter.

L - chicken salad with mayo and cheese cubes, not many though.

S - hazelnuts, 20g, 3 strawberries.

D - ???? not sure to be honest as I'm not sure what I fancy so will have a think. Something with low carb veg and cooked in butter probs.

Hope everyone is okay? :)

StuntNun · 14/08/2013 15:42

With a comment like that from your DH, was it your wedding ring Mouse? GrinGrinGrin

Negroni · 14/08/2013 18:07

Hi all, am still reading the thread, just not been posting that much, am getting inspiration from reading others' posts and trying to push past my up and down stage. It's looking good at the moment, just have to make sure I don't scupper it with another weekend wedding/ party/ tempting carb fest.

Beryl so impressed with your cycling - amazing! Crustless Broccoli quiche looks lovely and I definitely want to make these. I am guessing you had the green salad not the crusty bread side option...?!

BlackAffronted · 14/08/2013 18:08

Dinner is going to have to be smoked sausage .... just realised the gammon for dinner is about 2 weeks out of date Shock and I have nothing else in/defrosted. Will have it with cheesy courgettes.

captainmummy · 14/08/2013 18:30

My dinner was bolognaise sauce with cabbage strips 'pasta'... stuffed now.

NigellasGuest · 14/08/2013 18:44

Hello everyone - I am nearing the end of my UberCamp as this is day 3 for me. I started and got derailed a week back though did manage to do nearly 2 days I think.

So does that count as nearly 5 days ubercamping and would it be really bad to have a Bacardi and tonic tonight?

Negroni · 14/08/2013 19:37

Oh I would def have a Bacardi & Tonic, NigellasG. Actually don't listen to me. I am the woman who keeps on losing and gaining the same 4 lbs.

NigellasGuest · 14/08/2013 19:40

well actually Negroni that does sound a bit like me as well!
But at least it's gaining and losing, not just gaining..... I am hoping I will soon see a bit more loss. I feel slimmer, IYSWIM. The scales don't agree with me, but I swear I feel slimmer...

BerylStreep · 14/08/2013 20:53

Negroni I just stay more or less static - it feels like I have done for the last 2 months.

I'm glad you are impressed with the cycling. I would be impressed too, except that it I have signed up to do some bloody 86 mile cycle event, which is taking place in just 12 days time, and the furthest I have cycled is 36 miles.

I might have to beg everyone to think positive cycling vibes for me on 26th. Blush
