The other thread was almost full, so here's a bright, shiny new one.

And here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And just in case you haven't discovered it yet, here is the recipe thread. Some truly lovely recipes on here that are worth a try.

Purple - I understand your thinking. If you say you will never have something again, you start craving it.

I love pain au chocolat - yet I have now managed to resist one for 9 months, even though I have been buying them for ds bastard Lidl and its in-store bakery Wink. I've told myself I can have one if I really want one and if so, to do so as a mindful and enjoyable treat. Smile

Am off to France for a wedding at the beginning of October......Wink

Purple2012 · 05/09/2013 11:40

Its definitely more mind over matter.

timidviper · 05/09/2013 12:40

Way back through the mists of time, in one of the early bootcamps somebody put forward a really helpful idea re naughty/forbidden foods, which was to look at it and think "you are not the last piece of chocolate/pasty/chip/etc in the universe, not eating you now does not mean I can never have another again, if I don't have you there will be other chances in the future". That sometimes helps me to knock a craving on the head.

I am rather frustrated at the moment. I had just hit my 3stone off mark a week ago but have since bounced back up a pound and it will not shift. I know I need to go back to basics but it just seems annoying when I still have at least 5 stone to go, I feel like it should be dropping off! This was compounded by going trouser shopping yesterday and finding I am still in the same plus size as before I started Angry although they are looser. Obviously I will keep going as I love the food but am a bit cross.

B....ff yoghurt

L...huuuge king prawns with mayonnaise....99p down from £6! SmileSmileMmmmmmmm!
And a 49p pack of italian pork loin reduced from £2!

D....not sure yet but am in the zone!

captainmummy · 05/09/2013 20:34

Love the Prawn-bargain, Rup!

Purple - another thing about the fullfat yog... if you can get to Lidl try their fullfat greek yog (it's called Eridanous and comes in a huge 1L paint-pot!) -it's not as thick and mouth-filling as Total, and its a quarter of the price!

Purple2012 · 05/09/2013 20:40

Thanks captain. Will make sure I find time to pop over to my nearest lidl.

Ruprekt · 05/09/2013 23:44

Dinner was scrambled egg with sm salmon. SmileSmileSmile

LilyAmaryllis · 05/09/2013 23:45

Timid how can you shift 3 stone and still not have dropped a trouser size! That's amazing. 3 stone off is amazing too!

prettybird · 06/09/2013 00:57

Note to new Boot Campers: nobody, but nobody finds good deals like Rupekt! Grin

Morning campers!

An interesting piece here on the impact of lack of sleep on food choices/weight gain

prettybird · 06/09/2013 08:41

That's interesting especially given the time of my previous post Blush

.....to be fair, dh had been at a business meeting and I had to pick him up at the train station after midnight.

I'll blame him for falling off the wagon Wink

Mouseface · 06/09/2013 10:53

Morning, tis me, Mouse

Sleep and lack of it is something well out of my control I'm afraid having a SN/LD toddler. It's always impacted on my pain and diet etc. So that's one thing that I can't actually do anything about.

I am SO looking forward to Monday!! BRING IT ON Grin

B - cooked/roasted ham 1 thinly carved slice, 1 slice of mature cheddar and a boiled egg.

L - chicken breast salad

D - pork roast and green veg, no gravy.

S - small amount of nuts, strawberries, cold sausages (low carb) - not all, but this is what I have to hand Grin

Good luck everyone xx

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 06/09/2013 18:56

Under my goal weight!
Under ten stone for first time in over a decade.
17.5lb down since 9 July.
Going to go for another 2-3lb and a six pack :)

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 06/09/2013 18:58

Flowers to BIWI and all who post here; been such a help

BIWI · 06/09/2013 19:03

Fantastic, Trucks! Bloody well done.

I'm after abs like Jessica Ennis myself. I know I've got them, it's just that they're covered in flabby bits!

SmileSmile Prettybird!!

Got some fabulous bargains this week.

Heston B's smoked salmon was down to 55p so I bought 5 packs and froze it.

Am having 70p smoked salmon flakes with courgettes and cream tonight.

Had a herb flavoured cooked chicken pack for lunch which was 60p.

Bought 6 steaks yesterday which were £18 down to £6 so 2 thirds off!!

Smalline · 06/09/2013 20:05

Wow! Trucks brilliant work. Ruprekt where do you do your shopping?

Ruprekt · 06/09/2013 20:50

Waitrose! Grin

BerylStreep · 06/09/2013 21:51

I hardly ever get bargains like that. I managed to pick up 2 cartons of whipping cream for 24p each today, which is about as good as it gets.

prettybird · 06/09/2013 23:05

Earlier this week I bought a celeriac that was reduced on Sainsbury's. It had been £1.40 per kilo and they had reduced it to £1.04 per celeriac. Unfortunately some of them were quite small and if you looked under the Reduced sticker they had been under a pound Confused.

StuntNun · 07/09/2013 08:03

Well done Trucks!

Me too BIWI, my abs are like a rock... a heavily cushioned rock.

OK confession time, I ate chips yesterday - holds out hand for a slap. DH and I went out for lunch but the restaurant had closed Confused and we couldn't find anywhere else before we had to collect DS2 from school. We didn't have anything in the house that could be prepared quickly so I went to the chippy. I keep repeating my mantra - I am a carby twat.

BIWI · 07/09/2013 08:06

Well, StuntNun, Bootcamp hasn't started yet!

My husband asked me if I was allowed chips! Bless him. I was mmanically busy yesterday and he said he would get me chips if I wanted. I said no.

I am making him use up all the carby processed food in the house. Once he has done that I will do him lower carb stuff, just not as low as me.
