Morning all!

Already seen great results from @KellyonaHeli and @Almahart - really well done!

Spreadsheet for its final outing:

Just because it's the end of this Bootcamp doesn't mean we have to stop chatting - and many of you have talked about doing Ubercamp as well, and I look forward to hearing how that goes.

Morning all, another 1.6lb lost which brings me to just over 11lbs down in total! Did the same as @almahart and put my lowest weight for the week which by coincidence was this morning as a morale booster. Really pleased with the loss, just in time for my hol at the end of this week and I plan to keep it up as far as possible as really feel like this works for me than any other woe. And big thanks @BIWI for keeping us all on track throughout

RightTurnClyde · 02/03/2026 08:09

I've stayed the same after a weekend of not-quite sticking to plan. I decided against putting in this week's lowest weight, which would have given me a bit more of a boost, because I'm going to stick with it this week.

That gives me an 10lb loss this bootcamp, just over 6% loss. I'm delighted. I definitely feel better and in spite of (or possibly because of) not sweating the blips and just getting back to it the next day, I feel like I can continue, and that it's sustainable.

Thank you @BIWI for running this, and all the lovely bootcampers. Flowers

I dared to weigh and am up 3ibs after yesterday's blip. I'm hoping some of this will be water weight

venusandmars · 02/03/2026 10:02

@Almahart sometimes it is best to know. Then you can do somethng about it - remember to drink lots of water, it seems counterintuitive but the best way to get rid of water weight.

I've lost 4 lbs overall, which I'm pleased with. The main thing for me is thatis has got me back into the correct mindset.

I'm doing ubercamp so I've had egg for breakfast, will have tuna may and salad for lunch, then chicken and veg for dinner.

Thanks @BIWI for running this,

SemmaLina · 02/03/2026 10:05

Stayed the same ( phew ! As the carbs crept in )
Back on the strict rules starting today

SprinklesofRain · 02/03/2026 10:07

I'm up this morning too but will stick with half a stone lost as my overall result as I did get to that in the middle of last week. Like @venusandmars the main thing that has changed is mindset. I'm not sure about ubercamp because of the amount of butter but am going to steer myself back onto a stricter regime again this week and happy to stick around and chat.

venusandmars · 02/03/2026 10:29

I like ubercamp because it is 3 days. No reason why I can't find 3 days every week where I can stick to that regime, then eat bc-lite for the rest.

SprinklesofRain · 02/03/2026 11:23

I like the idea of three days of hardcore, it suits my working week pattern, but as soon as I see "fried in butter" my stomach starts turning, I could use oil instead I guess but I cannot tolerate butter on green veg at all, as always I find the high fat aspect harder than the low carb. I will have another look at the spreadsheet.

CointreauVersial · 02/03/2026 13:24

Well done everyone, and thanks again BIWI for organising.

As expected, same weight as last week (and same weight as Week 5.....grrrr). Total of 7lb / 4.43% lost on this bootcamp, which is OK, although I don't know what I've done to deserve this massive stall over the last few weeks.

But I'm not unhappy at this weight, my stomach is a lot flatter, and clothes are fitting better. Another few pounds wouldn't go amiss, but I am totally in the swing of low-carb eating, and very rarely getting tempted, so will happily continue.

When I first started this WOE, in about 2010/2011, I stopped weighing myself after a few weeks because we were renovating the bathroom and the scales were packed away. But I continued eating low carb without really thinking about it..... then a couple of months later I weighed in again and was astonished to see that half a stone had quietly departed while I wasn't looking! What's that saying? A watched pot never boils....here's hoping.

Castlerigg · 02/03/2026 13:50

Hi, it’s TeamToeBeans, I’ve gone back to an older username.

I’ve lost half a stone in total, which I’m pleased with. It has been slow and steady, but I’ve rarely felt like I’ve been going without, and when I’ve had fuckits they’ve been small ones.

I plan to carry on LC-ing, starting with Ubercamp, but I forgot and had a latte this morning, plus I couldn’t get any eggs yesterday. But I’ve had tuna mayo for lunch and I’m going to buy eggs after work, so I’ll have omelette for dinner.

Well done everyone.

Rayna37 · 02/03/2026 18:17

Like lots of you it seems, about half a stone off here too for this bootcamp. One lb up after 4 days in France last week where I absolutely indulged; got back on it over the weekend so already undone most of the damage.

I’ll be sticking around and sticking with it; I’d like another half a stone off but that will be much more tricky!

I do seem to have kicked the toast habit and I’m ok with a few nice meals out from time to time, as long as I generally stay LC. I’ll keep on daily weighing to be sure I don’t get too sloppy!

Jumperorcardi · 02/03/2026 19:43

Hi, I’ve lost 1.5 lbs this week, so 8.5 lbs in total. I’m hoping to loose a little more or stay the same so will stay on the thread. well done to all and also thank you @BIWI for running the thread.

mumsandaunties · 02/03/2026 21:47

Well I’m ending bootcamp an incredible 15 lbs lighter than I started it, so thank you a million times over to @BIWIand all you others who post in the chat. It makes an enormous amount of difference having others running alongside.

I’ll watch you ubercampers in action, but although I will try to stay low carb, I know there’s a few things that will creep back in. As a mostly veggie, I was so happy to have a bean stew tonight, first time this year.

See you all at spring bootcamp maybe?

Sunnysideuptoday · 02/03/2026 23:44

Hi all I can’t believe how quickly the 8 weeks have gone. Thank you @BIWI for running the camp. Life has thrown a few curve balls along the way but amazingly I’ve still managed to loose 12 pounds. Well done everyone, what losers we all are. I’m up for some Uber camp. I can’t get into the spreadsheet as I’ve got a new phone and can’t log in. I will gen up on it when I’m at home. 💐 for everyone. Koko

Almahart · 03/03/2026 11:23

Just a reminder to myself that when I lost 4ibs in a week I drank a LOT of water and I think that made all the difference

BIWI · 03/03/2026 11:46

@Sunnysideuptoday have you downloaded the Google Sheets app? That would make it easier for you to access the spreadsheet

On day 1 of ubercamp I put on 1lb. Typical!

SprinklesofRain · 03/03/2026 16:38

And I've gone and got another upset tummy. So that's one way to lose weight. I suspect I didn't allow myself enough recovery time last week, also foolishly ate very late last night which doesn't agree with me. This is very rare for me, so twice in a week is annoying to say the least.

BlueRabbitWasNaughty · 04/03/2026 09:52

I’m 9lb down so really pleased (although haven’t yet updated the spreadsheet but am back on the laptop later and will do so then). Thank you for your support BIWI and everyone else, and a big well done to everyone for sticking with it, it’s great to hear the loses. Just off to investigate uber camp…

KellyOnAHeli · 04/03/2026 10:20

Last day of ubercamp today. Still 1lb up since starting ubercamp but enjoying the meals.

RightTurnClyde · 04/03/2026 15:25

I did a day of ubercamp but struggled a bit with how my week developed work-wise. I'm going to continue on BC light for a while. Made chicken and leek soup today using up chicken thighs I didn't get round to turning into an ubercamp recipe. Will make poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise for supper, on some LC bread.

Castlerigg · 05/03/2026 07:00

I haven’t done Ubercamp as planned, but I have continued eating LCHF, and my weight today is 144.4lb, which is 10lb less than when we started bootcamp. Very pleased with that! I

BIWI · 05/03/2026 08:30

As you should be! Well done Flowers

Did that spiced chicken livers recipe for lunch - on a bed of salad rather than a wrap. It was nice, but not measurably better than just pan-frying them plain. Good to try something new, though.

Challenge ahead, as I'm off to DDad's for a few days on Saturday, looking after DSM while he's in hospital. She's a big feeder - I'll be working away in the dining room, in a Teams meeting, and suddenly a huge plateful of cottage pie and a slice of cake will appear at my elbow. A fridge full of Gu puddings, and red wine being proffered at every turn. The key will be to go prepared with various foods... I'm going to take a big bowl of chicken salad, some soup, some low carb bread and a big pack of eggs.... Or just accept that some battles have to be lost, but the war can still be won.
