Yes, I know! Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun?!

Spreadsheet as usual:

As I said on the last thread, I’m on Jury Service for the next two weeks (hopefully no longer!) hence starting next week’s thread a bit early.

I hope all those who’ve had ‘little blips’ don’t see too much damage on the scales.

Pot of egg mayo (made with 1 hard-boiled egg)
Pot of cottage cheese with onion and chives (120g)
Cherry plum tomatoes
Cucumber
Greek yoghurt (individual M&S pot)
Extra mature cheddar cheese (M&S mini)

I've prepped tomorrow's lunch too, which always makes me feel like I'm winning at life. 😊 Ham & cheese salad with home made coleslaw on the side.

DryWhiteagainW · 08/02/2026 22:22

Marking place. Thank you BIWI

TeamToeBeans · 09/02/2026 07:00

148.8lb today, which I’m happy with - it’s a very gradual loss, but it’s heading in the right direction, and I noticed at the weekend that my jeans were looser. I did let things slip over the weekend, but I find it so much easier at work. I’ve got my lunch supplies all ready.

RightTurnClyde · 09/02/2026 07:59

Thank you for the new thread @BIWI Flowers

I've had a blippy weekend between migraines (plural Sad) and a horribly sore throat. Consequently I'm up again this morning though I know it's just water/glycogen and will come back off quite quickly when I make better choices.

Jumperorcardi · 09/02/2026 08:35

I’m currently up 1 and 1/2 lbs, after my time away with work and having guests this weekend. It absolutely shows how unforgiving low carb is and also that I need to be more careful with cheese, which I had instead of desert and to nibble on when really hungry. I’m hoping that it will come off quickly. I am going to draw a line under it and get right back into bootcamp now.

Sunnysideuptoday · 09/02/2026 09:30

Thank you @BIWI and hope jury service goes well. I've lost 1.5 lbs this week so still moving in the right direction, thank goodness. @Kelly its tough out there in 'carb world' isnt it. I'm going to adopt the mantra Don't let a 'blip' turn into a 'fuck it'. Love this @Venus , really put a smile on my face. The long term benefits of this way of eating are really clear for me. Bu,t everyday my brain is still telling me oh just have a little bit of this or that. The food noise, as the term now can be very strong. Especially when walking into work, there are.. sweets at the door, then someone brings in doughnuts, there is a birthday cake before lunch and a little sweet treat in the afternoon. It's like a Carb Assault Course every day! My main trick at the moment is to always have a Baby Bell cheese in my pocket. If it gets too much, I eat this, even when it's a bit warm!! Good luck everyone, KOKO

SprinklesofRain · 09/02/2026 09:52

Morning, 1.5lb down this morning, the first time I have been lower on Monday than on the Sunday, usually there is some slippage with not enough water and eating on the hoof at weekends.

Hope the jury service goes OK @BIWI I've done it twice and was straight onto cases both times, no time for sitting around reading either time.

@Sunnysideuptoday my work was like you say, carb assault course through Jan, several birthdays and using up boxes of chocolates given by suppliers etc. Things have settled down a bit now though. I bought Babybels for the first time in about 20 years last week and was surprised how nice they were, I've always thought they'd be really bland. I am keeping a bag of the mixed mini cheeses from Sainsburys at work in case I get the late afternoon munchies.

CointreauVersial · 09/02/2026 10:42

Another pound down....slooow and steady..... @BIWI - I didn't want to fiddle with your formulae but there is something amiss in the Week 6 columns of your spreadsheet.

I was HUNGRY over the weekend. No idea why. I snacked on cheese with some low carb crackers (Olina's Simply Seed - from Waitrose) and ate a chunk of ham.

Office temptations are not too bad here.....after we tragically lost our MD to a heart attack in his late 50s we banned the biscuit tin, and supply fruit/healthy snacks instead. I do have a bag of pistachios in my desk if I'm desperate - they are a little bit high in carbs compared to almonds so I don't go mad, but to be honest it takes me so long to shell them I only end up eating a few at a time.

SemmaLina · 09/02/2026 10:56

Stayed the same ( which I blame on the dark chocolate brazils from the Christmas stash on Saturday night )
I had seen a loss earlier in the week , but …

Anyway , came on to say ( as @CointreauVersial ) that the spreadsheet is showing I’ve lost my entire body weight , so somethings gone wrong somewhere

SprinklesofRain · 09/02/2026 10:58

We have pistachios at home on the same basis @CointreauVersial they take a bit of effort to shell, so I just take out 4 or 5 and they do hit the spot for salty crunchy craving. DH tends to tip a bowlful out and take it to the sofa which can be very tempting, I try and avoid that.

That would be quite an impressive result!

Weekend of highs and lows - visited DD at uni, I do miss her and so does DH (he's not her dad but has been around since she was 2 and you wouldn't know they weren't related). Went for dinner at a ramen place but I asked for veg instead of rice with my curry and swerved the gyoza and karage. However all of DH's site were put at risk of redundancy on Friday so we have a lot of uncertainty coming our way............I've also got a huge stye which is very sore, good excuse to keep my camera off in work calls though!
No loss this week but keeping on, 2 1/2 weeks to my hols and can't wait!

Almahart · 09/02/2026 13:20

I'm up from my mid week low last week, but still a pound down. I ate too much chocolate and too many nuts. Am going to have a very strict week. I'm going on a yoga retreat at the weekend which will be vegan and carby, so I'll just have to deal with the consequences when I get back.

I've still got 10ibs that I want to lose so will keep going after the BC's official end

Rayna37 · 09/02/2026 14:00

Haven’t actually weighed today as a slightly chaotic morning before the bathroom guy arrived to start work. It won’t be great after some weekend slippage. Two weeks until a city break so want to stay focused! Got some chicken thighs marinading in doner spices for tonight. Big spinach salad and tuna mayo for lunch.

Jumperorcardi · 09/02/2026 14:08

Hope the jury service is going smoothly @BIWI

RightTurnClyde · 09/02/2026 15:47

I'm going to try making low carb crackers this week as I'm feeling vulnerable to fuck-its and crackers are often the gateway carb, I do like something really crunchy with a big slab of brie.

Not much appetite today but plan a spinach curry with chicken this evening, it is a left over portion from the freezer.

FinallyHere · 09/02/2026 16:46

Hello lovely people. Just have my phone right now. I’ll be home later today and on my laptop ready to run an oily rag over week 6 calculations.

Almahart · 09/02/2026 16:47

I just had a little Google @RightTurnClyde and I think I might copy you. They look really easy. I miss a bit of crunch

BlueRabbitWasNaughty · 09/02/2026 17:09

Thank you for the new thread and I hope Jury service isn’t too painful @BIWIand well done everyone for sticking with it (mostly).

I’ve been away for the weekend and only got back today so couldn’t weigh this morning. I have been pretty much on plan though so am hoping for a loss tomorrow… but we’ll see.

KellyWithABigBelly · 09/02/2026 18:14

Well done everyone for your losses, and thank you BIWI for the new thread. I’m 11lb total loss for me so far. This will be my last weigh in on a Monday for two weeks, but will post this weeks (hopefully) loss on Saturday before I go on holiday. Then see the post-holiday damage the following Monday. I’m planning to be as strict as possible on holiday, especially as my helicopter trip is on the final day so I can’t afford to put on an ounce before then.

FinallyHere · 09/02/2026 18:21

Have a notion that someone has very kindly sorted out things that needed sorting out in the spreadsheet.

Thank you very kindly, your help much appreciated.

I hardly dared show my face in here today actually. There was an ‘episode’ Sunday night involving several albeit small tubs of ice creme. I know It isn’t big and it isn’t clever, and very uncomfortable and sorry for myself I felt afterwards too. Back to strict bootcamp today and for the foreseeable.

I know I feel so.much.better for eating low sugar and low starch. Onwards and downwards.

FinallyHere · 09/02/2026 18:22

@BIWIhope your jury duty goes as well and it can possibly go and you do not get stuck on any lengthy cases.
