Morning all. Up bright and early today, because insomnia Hmm

Anyway it gives me the chance to get this week's chat going nice and early.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for its final outing this Bootcamp.

Let's give it a final push this week, and see what we can do. Any cheats, or fallings off the wagon should be forgotten - let's have a good, strict last week.

Morning BIWI. I managed to cross post with you on the old chat so I'll copy my message here!

Morning all. I've just weighed in for the week. I've found this bootcamp a fascinating insight into how much my weight bounces around. Usually on BC I am doing it to lose weight so I am generally on a downwards trajectory with some stalls or a couple of lbs gained here and there. Being pregnant this time means that I'm logging my weight more for interest than anything else, but not doing it for weightloss makes the weekly bouncing up and down of my weight much more obvious (outside bootcamp I maybe weigh once a year 😅).

Good luck all and have a lovely week!

BIWI · 27/02/2023 07:18

Sorry - I just cross-posted with you again on the old thread!!!

How's the pregnancy going?

Morning, I haven't weighed yet this morning but have been struggling all week to undo last weekends damage. Had a wonderful weekend but also somehow managed to put on about 5lbs which is quite impressive if only it came off at the same rate. I have really upped my exercise, my mission is to get a six pack. Also I bought boxing gloves so with my pt this week we are going to do some boxing which I'm really looking forward to. Sorry I lost the ability to keep up with last weeks thread so will start a fresh with keeping up.

Skiphopbump · 27/02/2023 07:31

Morning all.
I’ll weigh myself when I get back from the pool, too cold at the moment! I think I over did it a bit exercise wise last week, I had a day off yesterday but still feel achy this morning.

I still feel so cold. After swimming I sit in the sauna but don’t feel properly hot as deep inside I feel cold. I thought it was something that would pass but it’s hasn’t yet.

Blood test on Friday to test my hba1c, fingers crossed I’ll get a normal reading.

venusandmars · 27/02/2023 07:39

Not able to weigh, but sticking with bootcamp rules and posting to mark my place.

FinallyHere · 27/02/2023 07:50

Good morning bootcampers, and thank you to @BIWI for opening up the shutters for another week

Early results from my continuous glucose monitor are looking good, after this last year of boot-camping.

This is very good news, while eating bootcamp my blood sugar was stable last year, the steady state was worryingly close to the fringe of T2 diabetics last year. This year looking much more comfortably within the 'normal glucose response'.

I'm planning to continue bootcamping until I'm in the middle of the normal BMI for my height and lean any investigation of worry about my body's response to anything other than bootcamp friendly foods this time round. I have more monitors, for future investigations.

FinallyHere · 27/02/2023 07:51

Oh for an edit button. Soz. For the word salad, I was editing and posted by accident

FinallyHere · 27/02/2023 07:53

Sorry to read about the 'cold' you are experiencing @Skiphopbump

Do they also check your thyroid levels when doing the bloods ? DH gets really cold regardless of ambient temperature when his thyroid meds are out of whack.

BIWI · 27/02/2023 07:59

It could also be that you're going down with something @Skiphopbump - the first time I had Covid (not saying that you have, just making a comparison), one of the first things that happened was feeling cold/not being able to get warm.

Good news about the blood glucose @FinallyHere !

@ditavonteesed a 5lb gain so quickly is unlikely to be fat - you've just re-filled your glycogen stores, I'd say. Be super strict with the food, keep up the water and get into that boxing ring!

Baystard · 27/02/2023 08:13

Morning everyone, thanks for the new thread @BIWI

2lb down this week (and if I'd used yesterday's weight it would be 3lb) so the scales are definitely still moving. I've started weighing almost every day because I love a round number and I'm so close to 7lb loss this BC!

Worked out last night that this week marks 50lb total loss for me and that I've lost 30% of my bodyweight now. I honestly don't think I'd have done half as well without BC, thank you all for keeping me on the right path.

SpottyBumPony · 27/02/2023 08:21

Well done everyone for keeping on going.
I've dropped in to the 17stone bracket, a 13lb loss this bootcamp. I'm really pleased and it's noticible in how I'm moving and looking.

FinallyHere · 27/02/2023 08:23

50lb total loss / 30% body weight
Congratulations, @Baystard

Such an inspiration and testament for Bootcamp

Rollerbird · 27/02/2023 08:24

Well done guys. That's amazing and inspiring. I find it so easy to :mess up' then sabotage myself. It proves what fantastic success can happen by being consistent (like we all know but this thread hopefully keeps accountability)

BIWI · 27/02/2023 08:31

That's brilliant @Baystard!

And really well done too @SpottyBumPony Flowers

Flipping ‘eck spotty bum and baystard blooming well done you!
I was up at 6 this morning to drop DD2 off for a school trip so had a quick weigh and up a 1lb from yesterday/Saturday which is weird as I’ve not eaten/drunk anything off plan. I’ve logged yesterday’s weight (145) in the hope that it’ll be off again tomorrow.
I was going to go to Pilates this morning but my left knee is agony. Was fine until a few mins ago. Grrr. Not sure how I’ll walk the dog. I can’t walk on it at all. Most bizarre!

BrendaLee · 27/02/2023 08:49

I've lost 3lbs this week!
The aim for this week is to shift another one at least which would make it a stone since the beginning of BC. And I've been eating cheese and butter and all those things that make food lovely - I've even fallen off the wagon a few times.
Thank you everyone for keeping me motivated to get back on.

AllTheBlackCoffee · 27/02/2023 08:59

Morning all, back from half term break and avoiding the scales for a week. All in all, I didn't do too bad but there were a few off piste meals which I won't recount. They were nice and I do think worth it but I'm glad to be back on track now and looking forward to feeling a bit less sluggish. I've also not been drinking anywhere near enough water so am already on my second bottle today in a bid to make up.

Not caught up with last week's thread yet (or this one TBh), but I will do so later. Hope everyone has had a good week anyway and all are well.

I can't believe we're in the final week, it's flown by!! I'm here for the long haul though, so no stopping for me any time soon.

Today's plan:
B: Greek yog, cream
L: some kind of a salad??
D: sausage, swede mash, broccoli and mange tout

Run planned for later too. I had hoped to go while we were away but it was so hilly I think I'd have killed myself. So I am going to start week 6 again today.

Kleptronic · 27/02/2023 09:10

I'm so pleased for everyone who's had good weight loss Smile

Daffodils2023 · 27/02/2023 09:22

Has anyone had bleeding gums on a low carb diet? On following Fast800keto, nearly end of 2nd week and woke up this morning and gums bleeding when i cleaned my teeth.

prettybird · 27/02/2023 09:28

Not weighing in today as last night was my dad's turn to do Sunday night supper and although I try to minimise the damage, it's not always possible....Wink

So a day of lots of water for me today Grin

In an NSV, I'm back comfortably into the 2nd notch of my "good" belt Smile At the start of Boot Camp, I'd actually had to stop wearing it/be desperate to undo it Blush

TangledUpInDreams · 27/02/2023 09:30

Hey all! Slight namechange but hopefully the clue is there and obvious enough. Grin If not, here’s another 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰 (especially for @prettybird).

I forgot it was Monday today (been too angry/disappointed with MNHQ the past couple of days to pay much attention to the passage of time...), so I’ve already had coffee and started my day. Will weigh tomorrow instead. Haven’t had nearly enough water and haven’t been very strict so imagine it’ll be STS or maybe even a small gain. However I’m still very proud that a couple of times this week I’ve been able to resist the temptation for ‘just one slice of toast’ (one of my go-to stress/anger/sadness responses when I really feel overwhelmed, and it never ends up being just one slice). It doesn’t happen very much anymore but in some very trying situations or if I really feel emotionally stressed it’s still an automatic response. But it really wasn’t difficult to resist and my mind gave up very quickly and the craving dissipated.

Wishing each of you a great week!🌻

OldandTired66 · 27/02/2023 09:33

Another pound off (well, 0.9lb but I'll take it). So just over 10lbs over all and just under the 15 stone barrier so very pleased. Just noticed the koko bit of the spreadsheet as well, excellent. Hopefully will keep me on track. Lunch out today with cake loving friends so have that to navigate but menu looks promising from a bc point of view. I hope your knee feels better soon, @NotDonna. I wrenched my knee once, opening the fridge door - obviously trying to tell me something! Salmon and a medley of veg for tea with cheese to up the fat content (if necessary after lunch). Have a good week fellow campers, KOKO.

Rayna37 · 27/02/2023 09:38

Morning all, some great results! 50lbs is incredible @Baystard and holding out for @SpottyBumPony (love this name, always makes me smile) to go for the full stone by the end of this BC.

Gain for me, fair reflection of my week. 2lbs up from last Monday but not much above where I've been most of the week. Worst behaviour was a load of Lindor last night (after a planned indulgence of a full roast with trimmings out yesterday); I'd avoided them since Christmas!

Good week of meals planned though do need to squeeze in a shop today.

Already swum this morning which was nice.

Rayna37 · 27/02/2023 09:42

Definitely short of water over the weekend, if there's a challenge this week maybe it should be that we all hit this target every day?!

I use a variety of bottles/glasses/mugs but log on the waterlogged app which I like. I paid for ad free ages ago and love to hit my target and see "I am successful" Grin
