Welcome to week 3!

As BIWI's away, she asked if I would start the week 3 thread. I've stolen her words from a previous week 3, as it's such a good explanation of bootcamp v. bootcamp light. Grin

So far today I’ve had:
b: cream and yoghurt
L: mussels with cream (which came with bread that I ignored)
D: will be pork and veg/salad.

I’ve just done a Sainsbury’s order that includes a lot of green veg. Plus plenty of olive oil and butter. So tomorrow I’ll fill the fridge back up with delicious stuff.

Seafour · 30/05/2018 15:33

Currently drinking my first bpc, surprisingly non greasy and pleasant to drink.

Gammeldragz lovely to see you.

I've read the info that BIWI posted a link to and a few things ring a bell with me.
The more fat thing is an obvious place to start, I also need more sleep and to clean up my sleep routine.

I normally sleep with the radio playing through noise cancelling headphones to drown out the sounds of the ventilator and beeping of the oxygen monitor. I use my iPad so often end up spending a couple of hours surfing the net, mumsneting or playing sudoku.
The result is not enough sleep, ventilation and a build up of c02 to make me lethargic and generally crap in the morning.

I've also started taking a higher dose of HRT a month ago and as a result have just got my first period in five years!!!!!

Today I've eaten

B 2 eggs with butter & spinach
L tuna salad with mayo
S bpc, stick of celery & cream cheese
D salmon lots of green veg with butter

Aiming for 3 L of water

BIWI could you please comment on my food

clare8allthepies · 30/05/2018 15:41

Ugh, have made chocolate brownies with the kids, the whole kitchen smells of chocolate 😭. Am hiding in the front room with a mint tea while they scoff some.

Have some really nice looking chicken breasts with bacon leeks and cheese that I’m looking forward to later.

BIWI · 30/05/2018 15:44

Looks fine to me @seafour!

YearOfYouRemember · 30/05/2018 15:47

Sorry BIWI. I wouldn't even have a clue where to start with exporting. I'll have another look but it did look like I had scrolled to the bottom.

Waswittyonce · 30/05/2018 15:49

Quick question apart from olive oil are there any other good oils? I tried to make my own mayo with evoo, but it really wasn't nice. Need an alternative. TIA

YearOfYouRemember · 30/05/2018 15:49

This is what I get.

I need to lose at least two stone. I've been losing and putting on the same four pounds for ages. Last week lost five on my one week in four plan and this week I've tried to eat carefully but haven't gone hungry. I have food issues also known as a bad relationship with food thanks to my childhood. I just need help really and a handholdBlush

@YearOfYouRemember - looks like your tabs are across the top, in pale blue! Can you click on those?

Loving reading these nsv’s!

GiantPandaAttacks · 30/05/2018 16:05

redpanda I’m a 36gg and 5”5. I’m aiming for about 11 & 1/2 stone so a further loss of 55lbs needed fucking hell I look a bit Barbie doll esque below that weight.

YearOfYouRemember · 30/05/2018 16:07

Athel - that is so weird. I'd been doing that and all it did was open the same page in another window and I just tried again and it worked Thank you.

ilovecherries · 30/05/2018 16:18

redpanda, when I started a year ago I was over 16 stone. I'm 5'8 and at that point a 38K, dress size 22/24. Fast forward a year. Apparently I'm now only 5'7 Angry - don't think that's related to low carb though Smile. I'm 11 stone 4 and a 32K. I've also dropped a shoe size from 8 to 7 (wtf?), and a dress size 12. Initially I set tiny mini goals, switching units on the scale if necessary between pounds/stones/kilos to get meaningful numbers. My initial 'big' goal was to move from obese to overweight, then my next big one was a healthy BMI. I'm in that range now, but I do still have a thicker waist than I'd like (or is healthy) and a bit of podge on my front. Sadly spot reducing isn't possible, as my arse has gone, and my limbs and face are all reasonably thin now. My final goal is another 10lbs, putting me into the 140s and comfortably into the 10 stone bracket. My healthy 'thin' weight (which was actually over 30 years ago) was 10 and a half stone.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 30/05/2018 16:20

I'm magic.

What does nsv stand for?

Rshard · 30/05/2018 16:22

Non scale victory oldbirdy, a compliment or fitting into a previously too small item of clothing for example

ilovecherries · 30/05/2018 16:26

Ragz, lovely to see you again. Your wonderful photos last year inspired me to keep on going, despite being smelly, itchy, achey etc etc :). Though I still abhor pork scratchings.

FlowinElla · 30/05/2018 16:37

Hi all, I'm just back from a week in France, where I was going to keep to LC. Ahem, least said - soonest mended, back on BC from today but won't have a chance to weigh myself till Saturday (probably a good thing for my heart!). Congrats to everyone with scale and non-scale victories, I'm going back now to read the thread. Today's food is eggs, bacon, avocado and asparagus (with butter) plus some kefir.

Titsywoo · 30/05/2018 17:07

I've had a couple of not so great days which means the scale is creeping up a bit. Back on it today though and just did a Les Mills bodypump class (in my living room on their on demand site). Will have aching buns tomorrow Grin. I really want to be 13st in 3 weeks when I go away for a couple of days (just over 7lbs to lose). My aim for the end of bootcamp is about 12st 10 which will be a 1st 6.5lb loss. I think I can do it!

Justmuddlingalong · 30/05/2018 17:37

Small loss of 0.8lbs this morning. Glad I've stuck to the plan. Been up and down small amounts for the last week, but never bailed out and I'll hopefully see the benefits soon.

BIWI · 30/05/2018 17:38

You can, but only if you stick to it!!!

Goodasgoldilox · 30/05/2018 17:41

Birthday weekend for me over the bank holiday. It will have an impact on weight loss this week.

It was lovely but off-piste at times. I stuck to the WOE and just added a few unmentionable treats during social occasions.

Oddly, even the deviations have not led to any desire to deviate any further from the plan.

Is this becoming my new normal? Birthday treats are once a year - not the end of the plan.

Titsywoo · 30/05/2018 17:43

I will! I promise Grin.

Goodasgoldilox · 30/05/2018 17:44

I might not be lighter this week (due to previously mentioned birthday deviations) but have a 'non-scale-victory'.

I managed to get all the way up my local hill without a single stop and was still able to keep walking at the top. This is very promising for my mountain walking plans for the summer holiday.

RedPandaMama · 30/05/2018 17:48

Thanks gammel cherries giantpanda I think 11 and a half stone is a good goal for me, I think I'll go with that and see where I am if WHEN I reach it Smile

I'll set some smaller milestone targets too like you said cherries maybe BMI related. My first goal is to be 90kg by the time I go on a family holiday in 3 and a half weeks which is another 4kg to lose, so I might not do it but won't beat myself up if I don't.
