Sorry guys - I was up and out of the house really early this morning, and then on a train to the Midlands with a shed-load of work to do. I completely forgot it was Monday, truth to tell! Blush

You've probably already used the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness, but just in case, here's the link!

I hope all is going well. I'm guessing it's getting tricker as the Christmas parties start, but hope you can make it to the end!

Placemarkig

Shady101 · 06/12/2016 06:17

Thanks Biwi,

I'm almost at goal and feeling pretty good in my leaner body! Can feel the fat melting away, I'm so chuffed as not been able to get this low last few years. Determined to lose a few more pounds next couple of weeks to allow for Christmas damage! Lots of chocs and cakes in the office but I'm just not interested Hmm
Really thrilled I joined this thread with you lovely ladies, got me focused! Happy Tuesday all x

achangeisgonnacome · 06/12/2016 06:49

2lbs on, but all my own doing (obviously!!) as wasn't well and feeling sorry for myself stuffed my face full of carbs.

Last two weeks will be better

Nyancat · 06/12/2016 07:31

1lb off but feeling not too bad about that as I had two nights out with too much to drink but managed to stay LC for the food. Also did end up with hangover induced carby dinner one night so was expecting much worse. Back on it this week, really want to get under 10st before Christmas.

asmadasmax · 06/12/2016 08:11

I meant to start yesterday but had a bad headache and a very busy day and nothing suitable in. Ended up eating lots of carbs.

I'll weigh myself this morning and hopefully get to the shops.

nekobus · 06/12/2016 17:16

Checking in! Thanks for the thread BIWI. Haven't weighed yet but i'm not expecting a loss, I'll be happy to stay the same after snarfing cake at a party (what is it with me and kids parties??? Can't stay away from the party food Blush )

Callmesausage · 06/12/2016 17:28

Had my weigh in at docs today and officially 11 lbs lighter than I was 2 weeks ago, so pleased with the good start.

Please can I be added to the spreadsheet? Thanks

BIWI · 06/12/2016 17:31

That's brilliant, Callmesausage!

Just add yourself to the spreadsheet, at the bottom - Wombat will re-alphabetise it later

Down 6lbs from the last time I weighed in...... Which was 3 weeks ago since I was awol. Pleased with that

SayrraT · 06/12/2016 20:16

Feeling more positive already Smile

Food today:

B: cheese omelette, coffee with cream
L: cream of celery soup, cucumber sticks
D: lamb, asparagus, mashed celeriac
S: FF yog, wee bit of cheese

Tinypearldragon · 06/12/2016 20:46

Food today:

B Slice of swede and 2 fried eggs
L Salad with lettuce, cucumber, cheese and vinaigrette
S Left over swede - not so bad as I had sort of -burnt- deliciously browned it, salmon steak, cucumber, olives, oil and lemon dressing
Snack Bowl of FF yoghurt
2l water

Drinking so much water is weird at work - don't like having to go to the loo so much. Other than that, I'm feeling good

Veryflummoxed · 06/12/2016 23:16

Hi all. Thanks for the new thread BIWI.
I had a mammoth Christmas shopping day today. I usually get through this annual event with frequent stops for carby refuelling. Today I snacked on cold belly pork, olives and cheese so very proud of myself.

For dinner I wasn't very hungry. I had a big (complete bag) bowl of dressed leaves with avocado and olives.

Thursday is a work Christmas lunch. It's a take and share so I'm taking a crust free quiche and coleslaw (made by DH) and I intend to ignore everything else.

I intend to LCHF my way through Christmas so if I crack now that will probably be the start of the slippery slope. I'm determined to stick with it.

Sorry I'm rabbiting on. Will go to bed now. Night.

SeasideRock · 07/12/2016 06:42

'Nother pound off. Slow but steady me!

asmadasmax · 07/12/2016 10:32

I'm 12 stone 6.5 .. can I add myself to the spreadsheet?

asmadasmax · 07/12/2016 10:34

I can't add myself to the spreadsheet on my phone. I'll try on my laptop later.

DearPrudence · 07/12/2016 12:25

Finally dropped under the next stone barrier, after a week's plateau. Feels good.

Is it weird that I feel much more in control of my whole life when I'm not being dictated to by carb cravings? I'm still juggling too much like everyone else, but I just feel more organised and calmer. Thank you BIWI and all of you for that feeling. I expected to feel better, but not in that way.

wombattoo · 07/12/2016 17:09

Hi everyone. Sounds like you are all doing well
Shady - amazing.

asmadas I have added you to the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Callme I have put your name on the sheet but I don't know your weights, so maybe you can add them?

Thanks for the new thread BIWI

Veryflummoxed · 07/12/2016 18:21

Busy day today.
Late breakfast . Three egg omelette with cucumber dressed with olive oil.

Lunch a slice of leftover meat.

Dinner will be cold meat, dressed leaves and olives probably.

dillite · 07/12/2016 21:55

I had a disaster today- it was supposed to be my day off only for work to call and tell me that instead of my night shift I need to go and work the day shift, which meant that no LC-ing happened. And I actually felt like shit after eating sandwiches, my stomach was bloated and horrible.

Thankfully I will have a much better day tomorrow as I have had time to prepare my food tonight.

B: eggs with cheese and cream
L: salad with chicken, mayo
S: braised butter cabbage with meat of some sort

Tinypearldragon · 07/12/2016 22:33

So great to hear about everyone's weight loss - it is really motivating for a newcomer. Prudence - I know exactly what you mean about that mix of calmness and alertness that seems to come from not being at the mercy of carb cravings.
Today:
B 3 fried eggs
L Salade with cheese, lettuce, cucumber, olives and a little broccoli
S Smoked salmon avocado and cucumber, ff yoghurt
Snack tin of sardines
2l water

SayrraT · 08/12/2016 07:23

Oh no dillite Sad it's interesting though, after you've been LCing, how awful carbs can make you feel!

tiny BC is fab, always lots of motivating people around.

Food yesterday:

B: omelette, coffee with cream
L: some leftovers from a work thing, sliced beef, salad, salmon
D: chicken and bacon with courgetti in a creamy garlic sauce
S: cucumber, cheese, nuts

feekerry · 08/12/2016 14:28

I have a big party on Saturday. There will be booze. Normally I would 'line' my stomach first by eating a large carby meal so lessen the effe of the alcohol, not drink on a light meal etc.
So, what could I eat to really fill me up without being full of carbs. What would be a good pre party meal???

Kleptronic · 08/12/2016 16:34

I would have salmon and avocado and green salad with creme fraiche. Be careful though, nothing really lines your stomach like carbs do, and the alcohol WILL hit hard when you are in ketosis .

I can't find anything scientific online about this and all I am left with is, apparently the liver is too busy making ketones to process the alcohol...

feekerry · 08/12/2016 16:38

Luckily we are getting a lift there and back with someone else and they aren't staying late so will be able to limit alcohol by default.
I don't actually know if eating a big carby meal before booze works but I have always done it. I like your suggestion and was also thinking big chicken salad or something
