Well, I went out for the whole day and evening yesterday, had plenty of carby foods and drinks, and feel suitably crappy this morning. Roll on Monday, indeed! Perfect time to write my meal plan and shopping list and head to the shops. :)

Does anyone know if almond milk is allowed? I am doing boot camp lite as I am breastfeeding so was hoping to make an almond milk, avocado and berry smoothie each day...is that a bad idea? Thanks.

two almond milk is definitely allowed, but make sure it is the unsweetened version. It is my nightly treat to have s spicy chai latte made with almond milk when LCing. Berries aren't allowed on BC, but as you are doing BC lite, you should be ok.
On the gallstone issue, I don't see an issue with a LCHF diet if you haven't got gallstones and don't believe there is convincing evidence that fat in itself causes them. However, if you already have gallstones, you may have an issue. When you have a fatty meal, certain enzymes are released when the fat hits the stomach. This then tells the gallbladder that bile is needed to aid digestion of the fat. Therefore, the gallbladder contracts to squirt the bile into the bowel. If you have gallstones, this may cause pain. It may not though, and the only way to find out is to give it a go.

Autocorrect wanted to change bile to bike. Now that would hurt if it was squirted into your bowel!

I also have some (unsweetened) almond milk with my coffee each morning. I do wonder whether it's allowed on first 2 weeks of Bootcamp though as its based on nuts and I understand nuts are not allowed?

Almond milk is fine (as long as it's not sweetened!)

Re carb counts on MFP - I'd take them with a large pinch of salt! Often they're American counts, and they include fibre in their carb counts, so you need to look for the net value. And MFP is compiled by contributions from its users, as far as I'm aware, so there's often a lot of inaccuracy there.

Nutritional value of fennel (according to weightlossresources.co.uk):

Calorie and Nutrition Values for 100g of Fennel
Calories 12
Protein 0.9
Carbohydrate 1.8
Fat 0.2
Fibre 2.4
Alcohol 0

I think soya milk quite carby, isn't it? The alpro one is 2.8g per 100mls, whereas the almond milk is 0.1g.

Oh! I looked at all the carb counts and i thought it was lower? The Aldi soya milk is 1.8g. I will look again at my almond milk. I prefer it to Soya and I'm not too keen on drinking loads of soya so was going to switch after the first 2 weeks anyway.
