I've got a first date next week - a lunchtime drink in a busy pub. Met the bloke on the internet so as well as feeling nervous I feel a bit unsure. Any advice please?

Cheers Niceguy - good to have a bloke's point of view. Keep giving me advice! I'll let you know how its going! He certainly won't be sealing the deal quickly with me!

unfortunately i'm not going into town now as one of my mates can't get a sitter so its a pizza night round hers. Disappointed as I wanted to meet up with him and him the same plus he must've wanted me 2 meet his mates. Also thinking this is a good sign he's not playing away.

So should I suggest another lunch date, or an evening date now? Lunch is easier for me as I don't have to get a sitter, but maybe we should move to evening now?

Verity - go for it. I was bricking it, but am enjoying it for what it is at the moment.

Got 3rd date - lunch date next week. Am stressing on what to wear, wardrobe not great, neither is money. Would nice jeans and a nice tight-ish Tshirt be reasonable. He's seen me poshed up on the last 2 dates?

OP posts:
Niceguy2 · 07/02/2010 15:43

Yes its fine. You don't want to give him the impression you are unable to relax or that you always get dolled up just to go for lunch.

Frankly he probably hasn't even noticed what you wear. In fact, i bet if you asked him what you wore the first time you met, he'd struggle!

Jeans, (smartish) T-shirt, you'll be fine.

SingleMum01 · 07/02/2010 15:52
