it won't accept any more messages ladies. As you can see I decided it was time to get less picky.

Eve - glad to hear you've had a quick recovery. Must be your turn for a date.

Happy - that's great news.

Betty - line up another one lol.

Al over tonite with the ritualistic takeaway and wine lol.

Have been clothes shopping with dd and I am bushed.

sincitylover · 30/10/2009 20:14

I have had a message from someone who is looking for a woman 'who knows how to please her man' Boak

Am getting quite a few emails but no-one who tickles my fancy.

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:14

i am glad we managed to remain friends, yes

tonight i have discovered that cutting a skull out of cardboard is a tricky procedure

bats are much easier

its all the cavities and wonky teeth thats a bugger

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:15

i would direct him surrenderedwives.com scl

witcheseve · 30/10/2009 20:18

Boak at that too.

Pangs of nostalgia for cutting out faces in pumpkins, hey no not really, glad those days are behind me now.

Was stopping in tonight but my neice has just said to meet her and my sis at the local cafe bar. So we are off for a couple of overpriced wines.

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:21

dd1 still likes to make a pumpkin at 17!

they are doing those tomorrow pm

thesouthsbelle · 30/10/2009 20:35

oh we'll be doing that tomorrow - but I wonder if to do it at mum s house - no mess then at mine! and their knives are a sight lot sharper.

sin don't bother replying to that one.

eve - speak for yourself! my standards will not be getting lowered anymore.

haunty - all is good here, teary but AF is due- yet again! or must be soon. prob why i've been so up and down of late.

anyhow better get DS in bed - I am beyond exhausted after a good workout, so it's bath, some valerian tea and bed for me.

sincitylover · 30/10/2009 20:44

have only replied to one of about thirty emails I have had over the past couple of weeks.

And that was garden man.

I will know when it's someone I really want to talk to.

Had a very strange lunchbreak today in the social club (first time I had been in there and have worked there for ten years - it was like going back in time to the seventies) with workhubby, the two male florists who we use for events (think they might be a couple) and two union officials.

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:44

they draw the design on the pumpkin and i cut it out, they scoop the gubbins out too and play with it for a bit lol

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:46

haha those social clubs are strange places arent they?

i am a member of my village one, though i barely use it

it is exactly like stepping back into the 70's, you are right

thesouthsbelle · 30/10/2009 20:47

I like the working clubs something familiar about them.

right ok, how do you lot get so many emails from people? I've had 2 different people and that's all. nothing else nada.

lou33 · 30/10/2009 20:52

i am not active on any dating sites atm, but i emailed men if i wanted to

it was a mix of sending and receiving

i only replied to ones i was interested in though, i know some people reply to everyone as they think its rude not to, but i think it will make them think you are interested when you are not

sincitylover · 30/10/2009 20:58

I think I got alot because I just put myself back on one site and it seemed like I was new.

But on pof it's more of a drip drip. And that's just the men.

Funny thing is I work in a university which has held on to some very old fashioned things (like the social club) but is also trying to be very modern.

There are some lovely people working there though and because my job means I have to contact lots of departments I have got to know them over the years. They are also fairly OK if you take the dcs in on odd occasions.

sincitylover · 30/10/2009 20:59

People also very supportive when I was going through divorce etc.

sincitylover · 30/10/2009 21:00

just need to find the time to go through and email a few - when dcs aren't around.

lou33 · 30/10/2009 21:32

feel free to share any profiles scl

dontouchTHEMUMMYSpecialjuice · 30/10/2009 21:35

belle - i send a few messages, tend to always get a reply. even just if it ends up a chat for a bit.

witcheseve · 30/10/2009 22:14

Belle, was waiting for someone to tell me to speak for myself re lowering standards. You get the gold star.

Social club around my way is a nightmare. Certain people in my family frequent ours but I wouldn't be seen sober in it. So when I do go which is maybe twice a year, e.g if my bro comes home or recently if there is a funeral tea there, I usually end up having a riot much to the families embarrasment. Well they are such depressing places you may as well stir it up. . Last time the barman asked me out. lol

lou33 · 30/10/2009 22:21

who wants a teenager , cos i am quitting being the parent of one?

witcheseve · 30/10/2009 22:22

No Lou got one thanks. Did DD tell you to shut the f--k up yet?

lou33 · 30/10/2009 23:13

no, thats one thing she wouldnt dare do, she knows what my reaction would be to that

witcheseve · 31/10/2009 00:00

Well you are doing a better job of it than me cos as you know mine says this to me.

lou33 · 31/10/2009 00:06

i dont feel like i am atm

witcheseve · 31/10/2009 14:29

Hows everyone today. I am shattered and a bit hungover so a quiet night watching X Factor for me tonight. Could have gone out with platonic friend for a drink but will say no. Cannot be bothered.

I sent some photos to Spoiler and he hasn't replied. Didn't think they were that bad.

thesouthsbelle · 31/10/2009 15:09

i'm beyond tired today 3 hours sleep isn't good.

been crying on/off as well thru lack of sleep.

spent far too much money in the shops.

told gymboy i'd had enough, and if that's not bad enough my mum spoke to him when I left the phone in the car to nip to the shops & gave him an ear ful! ah well. lol.
