I see quite a few of us dotted around MN but haven't noticed us getting together. I'm sure we lend one another a supportive ear from time to time...

So anyway - I'm squiggly, DD is nearly 8 months, I'm 23 and very happy!

Hi ebbie22, I'm good thanks; relaxing with a spot of cider and mn!

Managed some adult conversation at Toddler group today which is always nice. Conversation with a 3yr old just isn't quite the same
Apart from that, glad ds is in bed and i can give my vocal cords a rest...been a bit of a day for stress and tellings off!

How are you? and everyone else out there?

iLoveIceCream · 15/09/2008 22:23

Hi everyone I've just noticed this thread hope its ok to join you all! I'm 27 and my ds is 21 months xxx

Yeyeayo · 16/09/2008 09:22

I feel distinctly old. I am 30, but my older son is 11 and the younger is 3. I'm also single. Do I qualify?

charlotte121 · 16/09/2008 12:58

squigglywig · 16/09/2008 17:58

Hello all. How is everyone?

We're fine. The autumn has arrived with force the last few days so we've been out finding cold weather gear for less than the cost of a mortgage!

Today's been grand. DD was in a brilliant mood (not sure why!) so I got to crack on with loads of things that I should have done eons ago. So the house is clean and the freezer is full of newly cooked meals.

Hello all!

I am good, went out for a few bottles glasses of wine last night with one of my good friends, which was lovely.

However, when DD woke up this morning her eye was stuck together and nursery wouldn't take her when I dropped her off as they thought it was conjunctivitis. I took her to the docs and she has some eyedrops but her eye seems fine now so I think it was probably just a by product of her cold!

Was nice to come home and have a pyjama day though as I'm finding work and she's finding nursery pretty exhausting.

Charlotte - how are things going with the man you went out with before hols?

Friskyfluff · 16/09/2008 21:24

Hey, i'm about to start my final year at uni as well!
Well, i'm supposed to be enroling next week but i'm having doubts about whether i'm ready or not so am thinking about holding off untill next sept...trouble is i really can't decide and am running out of time eeeeek!!

charlotte121 · 17/09/2008 00:59

heya ewe, my fella is coming to see me tomorrow and were going to spend the day together... have spent the past few days packing away from the holiday and trying to get the house straight and it still looks a mess so he is just going to have to put up with it!!! Cant wait to see him, hes lurrrrvley although a little "frisky" but so far I have been very diginified and behaved myself

friskyfluff have you chatted to your tutors about your concerns? they might be able to help you come to a decision.

MOAP (now should be MOAPAAP )

Was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were. Good to see you! How are you doing? How are your DD and new DS?

Janos · 19/09/2008 12:57

Whats the Xmas thingy, POTC? (I'm guessing a party of some sort).

Haven't looked at the camping thread, will check it out. I'll be honest, camping scares me a wee bit. Bloody well done organising it mind!

gill86 · 19/09/2008 19:14

hello to all hope we had good day i had to find a new home for my dog today and my 10 year old ds hasn't even notice she has gone

squigglywig · 19/09/2008 19:49

Oh, that sounds sad Gill. You alright about it?

We had a lazy day today. We stayed in bed this morning which was fun - DD has decided she likes "tents" today. We messed on in the kitchen making next weeks meals this afternoon. DD is just starting to entirely feed herself so cooking is a great way of letting lunch take as long as it takes without me losing hours and hours from the day of having to be in the kitchen and not getting anything else done. We do seem to have rather a glut of baked goods as a result though

The weekend is looking pretty busy at the moment which is nice. I'm hoping the weather stays fine for it all. DD is going to her first "cook out" which seems to be a Swedish thing - the colder it gets the more they cook outside. She'll love it though.

(Sorry to interrupt the thread here but as a note to DD's Dad - I know you read these posts and I would just like to make it perfectly clear that I don't care. I'm not going to hide from you, or allow you to intimidate me into leaving.)

gill86 · 19/09/2008 21:43

yeah i's ok thanks i look at it as he wasn't sad about it 4 hours l8r he asked if the dog had gone. but he was fine so all good

mummyofaprincess · 20/09/2008 10:15

Janos i really need to change it, will get onto it later on today.

We are all good thank you

Cant believe its nearly been a year now since he left

Whats everyone got planned for this weekend?

Im about to go on my driving lesson in a minute then ive got to go shopping, very boring...

Sunday i might go and see some friends as the weathers lovely, Got to make the most of this sun i think!

sw - cant believe DDs dad reads your posts, how sad is that. Mind you if my DC`s dad knew my name he would read them aswell i think!

Ewe · 20/09/2008 12:27

I have DDs nursery summer fete today - she's only six months! It seems ridiculous. Then I am going to dye my hair with a home kit for the first time ever, am expecting disaster!

XP and I are going out for lunch with DD after the fete which should be nice. I don't think he reads my MN posts! Infact, he has just assured me he doesn't. Not that I think I would mind that much.

The weather is nice today, hope everyone has a good day!

Squiggly - are you Swedish or do you just live in Sweden?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 20/09/2008 19:58

The Xmas thingy I was refering to is the MN meet up in London. Someone asked earlier in the thread if anyone was going - I am

SW is English but living in Sweden, she posted about going to playgroups and them not understanding her English!

My ex-boyfriends ex-wife reads my posts, but I've given up caring anymore and just post things to annoy her occasionally

squigglywig · 21/09/2008 09:43

Like POTC said - I'm English but living in Sweden. I'm considering forgoing my British nationality and becoming Swedish in the future but that's a way off yet.

POTC - that is quite a long way removed from you for them to care what you write on MN? Folk are odd.

Hope you have a good time at the fete/lunch and that your hair turns out well, Ewe.

How was your driving lesson MOAP or MOAPAAP?

We're fine today. It's a bit chilly today so I'm digging out the winter stuff for DD and feeling a strange urge to start making thick stews and soups...
