We can only do the best we can. No point in going on housework threads if you're a working LP who never has a break from the kids. Or if you're a SAHM LP with small kids who can't get to the gym.

So, a thread for us to start the New Year with good intentions and to juggle it around everything else we have to do Smile.

  • I banned Minecraft today and tomorrow after some shocking behaviour (kicking each other in the supermarket) the dc's had a burst of enthusiasm, dysoning and tidying up to get back in my good books.
  • I have managed to get out for a few runs over Xmas. We stayed with my mum for a couple of days so I went out then.

Here's to a positive start to 2015.

babywipes quick. before it stains.

had a bit of a panic earlier the whole sorry mess of what needs doing sort of fell on top of me.

I have made progress today.
several bouts of washing up and putting pots away.
washing. several bits of the process.
tidied and swept most of the kitchen floor.
started pulling up and disposing of last year's plants.
moved some of ex's stuff from his ex wardrobe to his bookshelf. I need the space to put my stuff away. there are a lot less gaps on his bookshelf now. I will need to pick up my crap and put it in the newly created space. got to mend the hanging rail first.
dd has tidied a lot of toys.
sorted out a bag of clothes for my friend.
wiped the crud from the front of the washing machine. (dribbled laundry liquid)

still need to make tea. and tackle more washing.

Starlightbright1 · 16/02/2015 22:10

Why can't Ex move his stuff out Susan? or box it up and store it in shed garage?

I am still on holiday mode so while I have been busy at a very slow pace... Did shopping this am, another load of washing, a massive pile of ironing, went to school for presentation thing, made pork dinner, put washing away, spent 2 hours making a photo book of photos and now sat down with a cup of tea..

It has been raining here so had I the time would not be digging plants out.

BlackeyedSusan · 16/02/2015 22:51

he is reluctant to move his stuff as he still half hopes for a reconciliatiion, and he is living in the box room at his dad's and the box room of someone else at the weekend.
I have been reluctant to push it as there was Dv and living in a truce is the best for now.

he needs to downsize his stuff to fit where he is living, he has always been reluctant to get rid of stuff. the place was full before I moved in. there are four people's stuff here now. Three of the people are downsizing the amount of stuff they have. he ahs to take part in the process too.

these are the indoor plants. hence the downpour making no difference.

I have managed to put away a lot of laundry tonight and do some tidying up. it is still a mess, there is still a lot of laundry, however, think of how bad it would be if I hadn't done stuff.

fattymcfatfat · 16/02/2015 22:59

sounds like a wanker. maybe give him a time limit to remove it? then if he doesnt just dump the lot of it Smile

Starlightbright1 · 17/02/2015 12:55

I can understand the not wanting to rock the boat...Can you not box it up and put it in a shed or something?

I have added my tesco clubcard to my phone which is a job that should of been done 3 years ago..

I did ten minutes ironing again this am...Washing is actually outside this am...Not sure how much it will dry but will smell nice...

DS is very very tired after hols so lots of tears and tantrums over nothing.

fattymcfatfat · 17/02/2015 13:12

I do understand that you dont want to rock the boat but he has to come to terms with the fact you are over eventually.

I need to get showered and dressed then I can go to the shop and buy something for tea...as I completely forgot to take anything out of the freezer to defrost and my microwave is shit at defrosting

BlackeyedSusan · 17/02/2015 17:40

right, I have consolidated the stuff on his bookshelf and emptied most of his cupboard. I am off to stuff the gaps in the cupboard with the boxes and bags of my stuff that is hanging around until I can go through it and clean it up.

BlackeyedSusan · 17/02/2015 17:40

sned out a search party if you do not hear as I may be burried!

fattymcfatfat · 17/02/2015 18:15

Teaching123 · 17/02/2015 18:50

Been for appointment 1 at the MW today. Consultant lead care because I have a high BMI. I'm only a size 14 :( this sucks. And I really wanted a home birth too but will have to row for that. I'm definitely thinner than last pregnancy too. NOT happy.

Teaching123 · 17/02/2015 18:51

Sorry to moan. Ignoring all boring stuff tonight & had 3 Nutella pancakes with DD.... That'll help the BMI!!

fattymcfatfat · 17/02/2015 19:03

dont worry teach my bmi is 30 I was a size 12-14 depending on where I shopped. personally a home birth is not for me anyways but I am in the mlu. delivery suite for older 2 mlu is.brand spanking new (november it was finished).
I want to be in the hospital and luckily mlu is.in the hospital Grin

BlackeyedSusan · 17/02/2015 20:16

well, we are eating roast veggies, jacket potatoes, and salad and enough cheese to fuck up the healthy bit

fattymcfatfat · 17/02/2015 20:17

I had beef curry with egg fried rice, bbq ribs, prawn crackers and seaweed....OMG im a pig!

Starlightbright1 · 17/02/2015 22:43

It is so hard to control what you want to eat when Pregnant.

I am managing to eat healthy again today...I think I ate that much last week I am not bothered about food this week.

I do SW and you can have cheese every day although I am guessing you didn't have a portion based on your comment.

I actually cook aubergine tonight..It was lush...

BlackeyedSusan · 18/02/2015 14:29

I am supposed to be going to mums. This is the third day I have posted this, but at least now I feel that I have tidied up enough to leave the flat. it is still messy but I have achieved some stuff towards the great flat tidy.

Got to fight my way out of the front door with the recycling.

fattymcfatfat · 18/02/2015 16:15

I went to my mums, got dbro to sleeo over tonight.
came home to discover my dog has the shits and has done his business all over...I was not happy at having to clean that up!

Starlightbright1 · 18/02/2015 20:40

Well I gained 1/2 Lb on my holidays which I think is fantastic...Just need to get rid of a lot more and that 1/2 Lb

fattymcfatfat · 19/02/2015 20:30

Smile I love my bro at times, only 12 but ran round after me all night last night making brews and tidying up. bless him

Starlightbright1 · 19/02/2015 20:43

awwww what a sweetie...

I have been swimming and ordered a bit of vinyl for hall floor

polealltheway · 20/02/2015 14:53

Hey everyone,

Well this week has been terrible Hmm I havnt worked out, I realised I am 11.1 stone heaviest I have ever been and I was going to start 5.2 yesterday and didn't! I was too stressed out to starve myself for the dayConfusedConfusedConfused

fattymcfatfat · 20/02/2015 19:19

pole I was at my heaviest when I got pregnant, (11.1 like you) so im going to have evn more to lose when this one is born! I wouldnt get yourself worked up over it. You know that you are heavier than what you would like and you will lose the weight so cheer up and think happy thoughts Grin

meglet · 21/02/2015 12:24

black I'm not at your level yet but i have just dysoned the whole house.

This was achieved by letting the dc's play the ds 'til their hearts content.
