We can only do the best we can. No point in going on housework threads if you're a working LP who never has a break from the kids. Or if you're a SAHM LP with small kids who can't get to the gym.

So, a thread for us to start the New Year with good intentions and to juggle it around everything else we have to do Smile.

  • I banned Minecraft today and tomorrow after some shocking behaviour (kicking each other in the supermarket) the dc's had a burst of enthusiasm, dysoning and tidying up to get back in my good books.
  • I have managed to get out for a few runs over Xmas. We stayed with my mum for a couple of days so I went out then.

Here's to a positive start to 2015.

How far gone are you FattyMc?

Icing sugar in the washing machine sounds an achievement.

BlackeyedSusan · 27/01/2015 18:52

fattymcfatfat · 27/01/2015 19:25

minkGrundy · 27/01/2015 19:33

Managed a bit of fintness video yesterday plus cycling to and from work yesterday and today.

Bit of tidying done.

BlackeyedSusan · 28/01/2015 13:46

fattymcfatfat · 28/01/2015 14:24

Ive peeled the spuds for tea....thats all though.....been proper lazy. Not been well since I had my flu jab on Monday

BlackeyedSusan · 28/01/2015 14:41

washed up most stuff. dealt with some of the liquidising frozen potatoes... (did I mention the sodding hotpoint fridge freezer does not always refriderate or freeze and at other times get over cold. )

got a load of washing on.

put washing on the radiator to dry.

I need to clear out the kitchen to get on with getting hotpoint out to fix/replace the fridge freezer.

I need to clear out my bedroom.

BlackeyedSusan · 28/01/2015 14:43

I have had a few lazy days while trying to sort other stuff, dealing with the emotional effects of major meltdowns. as long as the overall progress is towards improvement...

fattymcfatfat · 28/01/2015 16:51

Ive just had to play nurse to ds, dd decided. It was a good idea to bite him and draw blood! Aarrgh! I love her to pieces but she can be such a demon at times! Poor ds was hearheartbroken that gis beloved baby sister would di that to him again (she did the same thing xmas day)

Starlightbright1 · 28/01/2015 21:47

Starlightbright1 · 29/01/2015 10:14

fattymcfatfat · 29/01/2015 10:20

Thanks rummikub.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/01/2015 10:34

I better get off mn too. going to put the heating on so I can work.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/01/2015 10:44

heating is on, coffee made as I can't move fingers. need to thaw.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/01/2015 14:16

well, I have got a liittle done. it is not going as fast as I would like. I am suffering from sleep deprivation and just struggling along. the aim for today and tomorrow is to stop it gatting any worse and doing a little bit here and there as I fancy.

i have changed the batteries in the smoke alarm
put some pots away,
started on the filing of the children's medical reports. (depressing reading of his difficulties. think I am still reeling after reading through his DLA form and have the prospect of filling in the new Ht on all the information that the old HT lost. including about the DV)

sleep and emotional expenditure sapping my will to keep on keeping on.

fattymcfatfat · 29/01/2015 15:39

Lack of sleepnis awful and everything seems so much worse. I like the plannof trying to prevent things getting worse, I may steal that plan myself for the next couple of days! Younmay feel better if you finally get a decent kip at some point!

Starlightbright1 · 29/01/2015 18:16

Tiredness is a killer...I had a rough night with DS coughing in his sleep..He seemed to be sleeping fine.. I therefore have done no exercise except the school run ....

I have also managed to find passports and give info to travel company they need

BlackeyedSusan · 29/01/2015 21:46

it snowed so we played in the snow outside the library.

saw the head teacher and only had to ask if he had a copy of the caf and therefore did not need to go over the same old miserable ground again. also passed on the paperwork he did not have.

fattymcfatfat · 30/01/2015 09:11

Well I have just got back from the school run to a delivery! My dds shoes are here! I had to search for ages to find shoes small enough to fit her but with a hard sole! Shes only a size 2 and these have even got plenty of growing room but we are both happy now because she can finally play outside in the garden and she loves shoes!

fattymcfatfat · 30/01/2015 11:37

Aarrgh! Was planning on getting a shower while dd had her nap....but she has refused a nap and wont let me put her down!

Starlightbright1 · 30/01/2015 12:47

That is lovely Fatty.. is she just really tiny?

I washed throw again as Ds got calpol on it not wonder I get no where...

I did sort out my old shoes today and threw last years really grotty ones in the bin.

BlackeyedSusan · 30/01/2015 13:25

I just need to do something, anything. so cold.

fattymcfatfat · 30/01/2015 13:42

Her feet still fit into the 3-6 months soft shoes and she has only just gone into 9 -12 month clothing so yep a tidge which is the complete opposite of my ds who was always big for his age! Maybe this one will be normal! Blackeyed why dont you have abrew? It will warm you up a bit
