Byyyyyee Grin

LesbianMummy1 · 11/09/2010 22:02

I making headway thanks dolphin but it rained today so we ended up chatting instead of working then by time weather eased off I had lost interest however I managed to get my bedroom done today instead.

maybe we should rearrange friday what do you think give dusty chance to feel better and dolphin a chance to get babysitter and chutes a chance to get her ds to sleep better

mumbar · 11/09/2010 23:32

yep rearrange would be great - money a bit tight for me at the mo.

Thanks for today - hope I didn't outstay my welcome time just flew!!

DS was knackered when we got home Grin

Tell DP nice to meet her and thanks for all the coffee Smile

dustycups · 12/09/2010 01:19

Mumbar you were fine dp said she was surprised you went so early.

Ds has been off colour all night and up since 4am I am hoping it just school nerves and not the start of something. Chicken pox is going around.

Dusty it was no problem. I told you I will help you where I can. I was tempted to take you for a drive first and find out what's really going on but not sure you would have felt comfortable. I only have baby most of this week so if you want to meet up somewhere like splash pool or canoe lake let me know. Hope you are starting to see a glimmer of light.

dolphin13 · 12/09/2010 08:55

LM you must be done in. Take it easy today.

My LO starts pre-school tomorrow and she's been bouncing around like tigger on speed for the last week, she's so excited.

Dh been in Kent for last couple of weeks training for new job. Think he's back in 2 weeks so my child care options will be better then.

Dusty I hope you feel better soon. You're obviously going through such a tough time at the mo. It's clear you give loads to others I hope you are making time for yourself as well.

mumbar as you're so close to me if you ever fancy a cuppa give me a yell. You could come to me or meet at Costa in Fareham (that goes for anyone obviously, not meaning to leave anyone out. I'm happy to host get togethers if people can get over here.)

Eve34 · 12/09/2010 09:22

Morning all, how lovely to see people genuinely being supportive of each other. It is so hard to find real friends in life - just hope I fit in :-) I am further up the M27 junction 5. So def not portsmouth or southampton.

Dusty hope all is going to be ok, I don't know the in's and out's but sounds like you have found some good friends here. Let them help you.

LB1 how is your son doing at school? August baby must be difficult so glad I have another year yet - although am sure by Jan I will be saying different.

Spending the day in the garden today, back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off not looking forward to it. DS is at pre school on friday if anyone wants to meet for coffee? Dolphin????

Sundays are good for me DP goes fishing so have day to myself to do housework - how sad :-)

Enjoy the sunshine girls

dustycups · 12/09/2010 09:34

morning all! feeling a little brighter today! me and my friend had a bit of a chat put michael mcintrye on and had a bloody good laugh!

Lm1- i wouldnt of cared where you had took me at that point was just reliefed to have someone with me. hope ds is well enough for school tomoz, hopefully he just excited.

dolphin- yeah i try to make time for myself not always easy though, went down the beach last night to think but got there and paniced!
whatever r you gonna do with yourself when LO starts preschool??

eve-yeah i have made some good friends here, am so lucky that i have a great network of friends to support me (unlike my family) but it has taken me years and years of hard work to build up.

we definatly need to meet up on a sunday real soon.

OP posts:
mumbar · 12/09/2010 10:15

dolphin tigger on speed Grin I use to say DS was like the tazmanian devil on speed - till I realised it was sodium benzoate and cut it out Wink Should have known then I was in for the whole intolerences thing shouldn't I Hmm He was ALWAYS like it tho didn't reserve it for special occasions and exitement Grin

Eve34 - DP goes fishing!! My friends DH does too and so we often enjoy a coffee chat or day out on a Sunday. Your not too far from me I'm junction 9. Your right about Augest babie. My DS was 6 end of Aug and started yr2. 2nd day back came home with the form to apply for junior school Hmm

Dolphin - definatly meet for coffee yours or Fareham both good. Theres Nero's or another independent one by the park in town which are good too as the DC's can play while we chat Wink although on second thoughts that would probably be unfair to FDS at the moment. Refraining from telling DS you have a trampoline or he'll want to come round NOW - apparently my excerise one he's been using for years just doesn't cut it anymore Smile

Dusty - hope your OK hun I could feel your pain in the FB message you sent. Let me know if you need anything.

LM1 - Its always hard to judge how long to stay at others when you don't know their routine etc. Definatly got to do it again soon.

Anyone fancy a meet up in half term? I know its 6 weeks away but I think Dolphins got a course for a few weeks and I'm working weekdays many have DC's now at school. Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill does fab days for children - £5 family ticket 2ads and 4ch so we would be able to combine iyswim. It would depend on transport but I'm sure we could arrange something. I can fit 2 more in my car. (prob not a pushchair tho)

LesbianMummy1 · 12/09/2010 10:33

Eve you are welcome however far up the m27 we will just try and make meet ups a little bit later give you a chance to get here Smile Ds enjoyed his first afternoon at school but I think this week will be the real test as he is full time now Sad

Dolphin am wading through washing mumbar saw half of my washing pile yesterday and that was nearly as tall as me Sad

Dusty we can all meet up I have no plans for next six Sundays

Mumbar sounds good re meet up half term but won't know what days I can do yet as too far in advance to know all my parents hours.

dolphin13 · 12/09/2010 11:00

Half term sounds good if we can arrange something with some notice I can make sure my transport is sorted.

LM your washing pile sounds like my ironing pile Grin. Do you know any childminders who are training to be foster carers, there were 2 on the course yesterday.

mumbar do you work full time any time/place is good for me. You decide as I can be more flexible being a lazy cow SAHM.

dusty what I am going to do with myself, hmm coffee with friends, trips to salon for facial, time to do my scrap booking without loads of dc wanting to mess it up join in. Do you feel my pain it will be terrible Grin.
Knowing my luck I will be asked to take a feral teenager who wont be in school and will take up every minute of my time.

eve34 Would be lovely to meet, can I get back to you as Friday morning is pencilled in for me to meet my FCs new carers but not set in stone yet.

dolphin13 · 12/09/2010 11:02

Why is my strike out thingy not working I'm so thick Grin

dog

dolphin13 · 12/09/2010 11:02

Oh I can do in.

dolphin13 · 12/09/2010 11:03

Or it even.

I'm going to get us to 900 today

mumbar · 12/09/2010 11:39

you have to put the -- either side of each word Dolphin - took me ages it work it out Smile

Yes I work full-time Mon, Tues, Fri 8.30-3.15 and Tues, Weds 8.30-4pm. Am around evenings if I'm not training or anything after school so don't feel too sorry for me Wink YOU DO work your a FC thats not exactly a walk in the park IMO as it takes a while to settle children in and then theres the paperwork !

Sundays are fine for meeting for me too whoever mentioned it. Mornings/ early afternoon is best for me as by Sunday late pm DS tends to become a stoppy git get a bit over sensitive and needs an afternoon with his toys to wind down and early night ready for school again.

mumbar · 12/09/2010 11:41

50 to go till 900 Dolphin the race is on - well 49 after this 1 Grin
