Off to get school stuff ready WooHoo :)

mumbar · 06/09/2010 18:35

Well survived the first day back. Inset for me LO's not back until tomorrow. Ds went back and has come home with the usual tired stroppy demenour school seems to give him Grin.

Ha, loved going in this am with his allergy meds, secretary said 'oh he still needs hayfever stuff then?', 'No', I replied, 'this is for emergencies he now has an antihistamine tablet daily for prevention of severe hives reaction to pollen'. As she rolled her eyes someone we know and saw last week came up and said 'oh, mumbars DS how are you' looked at his face and said ' wow your face is much better glad you got it sorted' Grin Secretary just stood there. I then told her about his special wash etc he has and she just said OK without trying to tell me nothing is wrong with my child again. She asked me what the signs of his hives attacks are and I said 'red swollen face like burns' and the child ds friend piped up 'yeah it was all blistered and crinkly like a tomato' LMAO as she was the one who kept telling me he is fine and didn't seem to accept that he needed the antihistamine regualary to prevent the attacks that occurred most evenings and just because she hadn't seen it it couldn't possibly be true Hmm

stray good to see you, we were getting very worried. Wink

Told me today he had to write about what he did in the holidays so he wrote..... ready for this..... 'I went camping.'

and they think his literacy is OK,

dustycups · 06/09/2010 18:52

hey mumbar glad you shut the secretary up!

lol @ 'i went camping'! literacy is just not gonna be his things, i no good at it but i good at other things.

good cos i need to rant!!! and least here i can fucking swear bet i wouldnt be able to on mn!!!

why do people think it ok to keep asking me over and over to do things for them, all i ever get from the same people is can you do this can you do that, yeah im happy to help people but there gets to point where it starts to take piss!
i froze to bits out in that playground painting for 30 odd hours and i get little thanks and then they turn round and say they want more, ok if just a little bit but no they think stuff it lets give her another 30-40 hours work and yet i get nothing for it and no-one despite living in the next road even thinks to come see how i doing or make me a cuppa or anything! bet if i ask them to just leave there kids and home etc for 3 hours every night to do something on you own in the cold for no reward they wouldnt do it!!!!!!!!!
fucking had enough of it all!!
and on top of all that i have to do all the fee collecting, banking and book club and all the other odd jobs no one else wants to do!
how can they possibly think that its ok to put so much on someone who is currently really not well
they no i am depressed, that in one month alone i have tried to end my life 4 times and yet they push me. cant they see i exhausted, i dont sleep for flashbacks and nightmares, and because i no i have a old flame watching my every move and threatning me!
on top of that they think they should no every single detail of what going on with A when they not even real friends and no they all talk about me behind my back!!! yes i fucking love her, what you gonna do about it, thank fuck she being amazing laterly cos otherwise i would completly crack!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok now i want to cry!!!!!!

LesbianMummy1 · 07/09/2010 17:51

hugs dusty

and breathe

you need to assert yourself more trust me until January this is what I would have done i bent over backwards to help people and they all threw it back in my face. I am now learning to say NO trust me although it hard to resist helping it feels so much better I am no longer going to be walked all over

dustycups · 07/09/2010 18:49

that first sentance is meant to see not be able to on netmums!

i know i must lm1, they really have touch a raw nerve today!

OP posts:
mumbar · 07/09/2010 19:58

just the 1 nerve dusty Wink

Feel free to rant and I know what you mean.

Where I work 1 lady been there years she knows best etc etc. I am newly trained so have been told different which of course is wrong. Told me today I can't change protocols - no I can't but I know what I've been told which is more recent. Anyway the other member of staff involved from outside agency checked with management - guess what I'm right and the protocol will be explained in staff meeting tomorrow. Sometimes it pays to speak up. I wouldn't have before now Blush

dustycups · 07/09/2010 20:13

thing is if i say no then ill be made out to be the bad one to the preschool staff and no they will all start on me at the meeting!

maybe i being unreasonable, i dont no!!

OP posts:
mumbar · 07/09/2010 20:16

say you can't, when questioned say you can with help, if they say no then say well how the hell do you expect me to do it if you can't.

Then wait and see if they can answer it.

dustycups · 07/09/2010 20:34

they have offered to help but no they will keep putting it off because of this and that .

good way of dealing with it though mumbar!

OP posts:
mumbar · 07/09/2010 22:38

oh well its shame you have to put of helping due to this and that then too isn't it.Wink

2 sides on every coin dusty x

OP posts:
dustycups · 07/09/2010 22:46
