Yes I was playing my Les Mis cd in the car yesterday Smile

Very Envy as my mum, sis and aunt are going to see the 25th anniversery performance at O2.

Feeling much better today, one tooth feels bruised and gums hurt if I eat or drink but hoping that as antibiotics seem to be working that will lessen during the day.

mumbar · 03/09/2010 10:06

oh that performance gave me goosebumps Grin

dustycups · 03/09/2010 10:09

you can guess what i been doing this morning Grin
i wanted to see that but couldnt afford it! i have watch the tenth one all the way through on you tube!

its a very emotive musical - just the right balance between correct history and how peoples lives were affected with enough fiction/homour to keep it entertaining.

dustycups · 03/09/2010 16:37

Took ds to GP this afternoon about his face. Just expecting a cream as it's very dry and querey if I'm right about this still being allergy.

GP scratched ds back (gently) with fingernail and whelts appearred. He has got allergic skin basically and convinced as I am the allergen is pollen. Has to now take antihistamine tablet daily and the antihistimine elixer for reactions. No bath products, scented soaps etc except the bath stuff and the cream prescibed to me. It is a separate condition as such to hayfever but same trigger allergen iyswim.

LM1 - told him about the sratch from the tree and reaction and he agreed pretty much shows that no skin prick test for pollen required.

dustycups · 03/09/2010 20:46

oh poor little chap! though least you r now aware of what the problem is! if you have been given bath emolliant be careful cos it makes the bath really slippery even a couple days after, i have to use the delghtful products too!

On you tube theres a video of my friend singing a song from wicked. The quality isn't that great but you can hear her voice.

Go onto youtube and search julia@yfactor.

she is amazing and really wants to perform live on stage. I'm going to look into contacting tonights the night and see if I can get her on it. She'll kill me but she'll love it Grin

DS ok today could not swallow tablet so crushed it but friend has suggetsed another way to try so will do that tomorrow. Its good to know things like when he gets out of the car and his legs are bright red from the booster etc that I'm not going mad by thinking its really wierd and somethings not right. Hopefully when meds are in his sytem it will stop. Light at the end of the tunnel Smile

LesbianMummy1 · 04/09/2010 14:01

Hi and thanks I just really stuck in a rut at the moment. I need to finish decluttering my house and find homes for twenty tonnes of washing. I am stuck in a vicious circle as I need to declutter my bedroom and about four cupboards full but if I send my dp out with kids so I can do it I am on my own so then struggle as because of my leg I can't carry things very easily. If dp stays to help kids just trash my house. I then feel depressed because my house looks like a shit hole.

If you know any simple meal I can add to my meals please tell me but obviously they need to be dairy free and avoid pastry am fed up of same boring dinners my meals are currently:

Roast
Spag Bol
Shepherds Pie
Chilli

LesbianMummy1 · 04/09/2010 16:15

going back to the food thing meant to say no fish either as dp can't eat it

mumbar · 04/09/2010 16:19

what about:

rissoto
mousaka
sausage casserole/ chicken caaserole
beef stew
sausage hotpot

I have a fabulous cookbook which must have loadsa dairy free recipes. I'll look them up later and report back Grin

Know what you mean about decluttering!! I sorted my bedroom out yesterday and when I came in the lounge and looked at ironing to be done, packed away, lego city with road!!!

Its not messy as such just stuff that all needs to be put somewhere but I'll do it tomorrow before work on Monday.

I can come help you next weekend if your still stuck. I'll get a dvd fom the library to amuse the dc's Smile

LesbianMummy1 · 04/09/2010 16:25

thanks mumbar.

Not sure if I would be taking mickey to ask you to help me next weekend. Have told dp how I am feeling and she gonna try and help me get organised but she back to work monday and now got more hours so not sure how much time we will have by next week.

Can you write me idiots guide to preparing those meals i only do casseroles from packets as never sure how to start them I would love to make things like lentil and bacon soup but we never learnt cookery at school and my role models were non existant as a child.

mumbar · 04/09/2010 16:45

Oh I make a great carrot soup and its sooooo easy. DS was weaned on it Blush

I tend you use packets for casseroles or the stock cubes that are gluten, dairy free etc work. I buy a bag of casserole veg (how lazy!) and just bung it in the slow cooker with sausages or whatever meat. Come home from work and viola dinners ready. Jamie Oliver I am not!!!

No probs next weekend I love organising (sad I know!). We can chat then about the apts our dc's have had and get it all off our chests Grin

I'll write the recipes out for you and check the packages I have to see if they are dairy free as if they are you could buy the same ones.

dustycups · 04/09/2010 16:51

hmmmmmmmmmm meal ideas!!

lasgagne with dairy free cheese sauce!
