Oooo!!! I get to start a new thread!!!

Hope you find me!

OP posts:
rosmerta · 03/02/2009 14:44

I'm an auntie

MrsRecycle · 03/02/2009 14:44

but 4 years apart - that must be a record for twins!

haven't made it in Auntie - gritters only did our road about an hour ago. It's meant to be my last day tomorrow but I've said if they want me to go in next week for the 3 days, instead, I'll do it (mad aren't I?). Glad you're pleased with your teeth, mine are coming along very well - hopefully have another couple of months and then all straight.

MrsRecycle · 03/02/2009 14:45

congrats ros - boy or girl (or have you not asked )

FriarKewcumber · 03/02/2009 14:47

rosmerta · 03/02/2009 14:49

lol Kew!

MrsR, it's a boy but they knew that anyway! Haven't spoken to my brother yet, its just filtering down through my mum. 9lb 11 though!

FriarKewcumber · 03/02/2009 14:50

neighbour kids came in yesterday afetr helping DS build out snow mummy and baby.

One siad to me on leaving with wistful expression...

"you have an interesting house"

Me startled "Really?"

"Oh yes, we had hot chocolate, and watched TV and you made bread" cue blissful sign.

BTW the bread was a packet mix bought in ALdi thrown into the bread machine!

Think I am going to develop a reputation as the slovenly housekeeper who feeds kids sugar and lets them watch tv

sfxmum · 03/02/2009 15:12

many thanks for birthday wishes

KC we are twins in the way dd perceives twins I think, she told me she wanted a twin and can I please grow one for her in my tummy
I clearly haven't explaining things very well have I?

and btw aren't you the domestic goddess mother earth of the neighbourhood?

Ros congratulations on the brand new nephew

in laws sent me a lovely big bunch of flowers bless them, they were apologetic that presents and card are yet to be delivered by lazy post Royal mail

so what time do you think it would be ok to open the champagne?

MrsRecycle · 03/02/2009 15:22

Now sfx - only if I can have a glass with you!

mellow2 · 03/02/2009 17:02

From noon of course!

SJ99 · 03/02/2009 17:08

Sfx - hope you're having a sip as I type!

mygreatauntgriselda · 03/02/2009 17:59

Pop!!

Glug, Glug...

MrsRecycle · 03/02/2009 18:10

burp

mygreatauntgriselda · 03/02/2009 18:37

Pardon?

Hic!!!

pcworld · 03/02/2009 20:46

SFX I am half way through a glass of merlot for you (hic). Honestly, the things I do ...

QC, I made another really dodgy loaf yesterday. So, you would recommend the Aldi bread mix? I think dd would find your house heavenly, too by the way! Hope you at least managed to have a piece of cake at the office.

sfxmum · 03/02/2009 20:55

so I am solely responsible for drunken debauchery in west London

did not crack open the champers in the end as I would be the only one drinking but found a nice red instead and that keeps well

dd went to bed saying 'am for your birthday tomorrow we will have cupcakes' I like her thinking

pcW hope ds is better today and all others with too suffering from assorted illnesses doing the rounds

mygreatauntgriselda · 03/02/2009 22:12

SFX!!

MrsR - Dishy Dentist just donated £100 to my fundraising swim!!!

[swoon - generous and compassionate, as well as dishy and oh-so talented)

rosmerta · 04/02/2009 07:51

auntie , I used to have a dishy dentist but he moved to New Zealand. I am sponsoring you btw, just need to find the link again!

Sfx, glad you got a glass of wine in the end!

Not sure what we're doing today, might just have a lazy day at home

SJ99 · 04/02/2009 09:21

Never been to a dishy dentist, feel like I'm missing out

Auntie - please can you send me link again to sponsor you, ta

Sfx/KC - even I managed to have glass of vino last night in light of your celebration

Ros - congrats on becoming an auntie, any more news?

Not doing much here either today. Ds1 up half the night with teething trauma. Our road has also turned into an ice death trap, may go for walk later on after sun has melted through a bit more

rosmerta · 04/02/2009 09:27

sj, poor ds, hope the teeth come through soon.

My sil had a boy, 9lb 11oz & 64cm long! My mum measured & that's over 2 foot . Not surprisingly she had a c-section in the end.

FriarKewcumber · 04/02/2009 09:31

PCW yes Ithought the sunflower loaf was fab fom Aldi - lots of sunflower seeds and very dark/wholemealy with a hint of rye. Also they had a granary mix which I haven't tried yet. Haven;t used a bread mix before and Imust say they are great when you're pressed for time.

Birthday consisted of work, go home, put DS to bed, make sausage sandwich, eat, go do more work, fail to make balance sheet balance, go to bed in a huff - wake up a year older...

SJ99 · 04/02/2009 09:31
Shock
FriarKewcumber · 04/02/2009 09:32

my elder nephew was a giant baby - 11lbs and though I don't know how long he was, he came out looking like a three month old!

sfxmum · 04/02/2009 09:51

good morning all

SJ sorry to hear about rough night

Kew you really need a treat at some point soon

Ros giant baby, hope she did not get many newborn clothes

here took dd to nursery skating on death trap pavements all most of the way, dh still not well and sighing about the house and doing conference calls to work

am desperate to go running but think would end up with broken bones

hope everyone is well

mygreatauntgriselda · 04/02/2009 13:57

Helloooooo

Ros and SJ - have sent the link to you again Thanks

SFX did you have a nice evening?

QC - did you have nice sausage sandwich?

mygreatauntgriselda · 04/02/2009 13:59

SJ sorry to hear about the teething and ice trap.
