stepfordwife · 26/01/2009 16:50

dear god, give me patience...if i need to print out something urgently again and pages of shark facts spew out, i'll officially lose the plot.....

hello
won't bore you wiit the detail..but life continues to be too busy for a closet lazy person.
and mrsR - indeed, we are serioulsy considering giving the builders rent books
hopefully will finish by weekend (yeah, right) as have told them we are NOT paying for yet another month's storage. we'll see...
but i know it'll be worth it (won't it won't it?) and do feel very lucky

cov - hope you're feeling better now

kew - any sensible offers for the company then? yes, the guilt thing is dreadful, isn't it? sure you'll make it up to ds.
my lot moan constantly about me working. feel like screeching;'UNGRATEFUL BRATS!! I GAVE UP A JOB LOVED SO I COULD DO THE FRIGGIN SCHOOL RUN!!"
but i don't.....

sfx, has dd settled OK for three sessions? are you enjoying the time to yourself?
lord, better force ds2 to do some homework..
toodlepip

rosmerta · 26/01/2009 17:04

Sj, sorry if you have but have you tried breastmilk on ds2's eye? Apparently supposed to be great at clearing up eye infections. Glad you had a nice walk.

Sfx, sounds like a nice day. Lollipop was quiet & ds enjoyed himself, he's getting good at finding children to play with whether they want to or not!

Kew, hope hours don't go on for too long.

SJ99 · 26/01/2009 18:29

Ros - yes I keep squirting milk into his eye (often ends up all over his face ) as well as eye drops, nothing seems to be shifting it Glad you enjoyed Lollipop

Steppie - sounds manic your end, hope things calm down soon for you

mygreatauntgriselda · 26/01/2009 18:35

It actually felt a teeny bit Spring-like today didn't it?

stepfordwife · 26/01/2009 19:01

..almost pimms season, auntie...(just the season is a tad early this year)

thanks SJ. hope ds2's eye is better soon, poor little thing.

mygreatauntgriselda · 26/01/2009 19:04

Steppy I was just saying to DS1 earlier that I felt like throwing a garden party! Roll on Spring eh?

Talking of parties, can't wait for the extension warming party!

sfxmum · 27/01/2009 11:33

good morning all

Cov hope you are feeling better today

SJ hope ds2 eye is better and ds1 teeth are less troublesome

steppie dd seems really keen now after the tearful first week, a starting to wonder what to do next, far too much time on my hands now.
hope things ease up on your end soon

here dd woke up at 6.30 and vomited I think because of her cough which woke me up as well, she cleaned up then went back to sleep, was jumping around at 8 so went to nursery I told them about it but have been worrying ever since

went running to this felt better

rosmerta · 27/01/2009 13:27

sfx, glad dd is happier with nursery. Btw, dh says this is his favourite running song! Such cheese

SJ99 · 27/01/2009 13:30

Sfx - link is making me have festival fever but am gutted that I won't be going to any this year
Hope minisfx is alright

Auntie - yes v.Spring like, it's lovely out

Both boys full of colds now but DS1 is good spirits today, I think the teething pain just comes and goes, glad it's not persistent otherwise I'd be buying shares in drugs co

Hope everyone is well

SJ99 · 27/01/2009 13:31

Ros - LOL at running song! Brings back memories of when I used to listen to Survivor when to pysche myself up for exams!

sfxmum · 27/01/2009 13:47

dd complained I picked her up too early from nursery she seems fine

Ros that is very man run song does he go up and down the steps?

can't wait for festival just hope to get some tickets I expect a lot of people will stay local this year

mygreatauntgriselda · 27/01/2009 14:06

SFX glad DD is settled at nursery again now

SJ - I would really like to go to a festival next year, once DS2 is a bit older. Do you think you'll go nect year, or wait until the year after?

SFX at your Festivals

SJ99 · 27/01/2009 15:12

Sfx - Glad DD is fine. DS1 seems to kick off when it's time to put on his coat and go to preschool but is really happy once he's there and is always full of smiles at pick up. Probably just reacting to the inertia of actually going

Auntie - would love to go the following year but probably without DS2, too early to say as depends on his personality and whether he would stay with GP's or be happy to go to fest....I can dream meanwhile...
FT would enjoy it, I thought Latitude catered very well for 1yr olds upwards

sfxmum · 27/01/2009 15:46

oh I agree about the festival catering for young children dd had just turned 2 the first time she went, it limited us a bit but that is parenting for you, she was well entertained and happy and was not the youngest there, they even have a pre walker/ baby tent within the children's field

have been looking at camping supplies as we need a new Tangia catering for more than one and a new mattress with repair kit am too old for too much slumming

sfxmum · 27/01/2009 22:34

well t appears that the early morning vomit was an early alert and we have been deep in D&V all evening
hope dd rests and it is over and we don't get it

SushiMummy · 28/01/2009 09:14

SJ99 · 28/01/2009 14:08

Sfx - poor DD and poor you, nasty bugs, here's to a speedy recovery

Hello Sushi, glad trip went well

slng · 28/01/2009 18:11

Hello all!

Nothing of note to report here apart from usual coughs and colds etc ... Hope all the LOs similarly and variously inflicted recover speedily.

CNY went fine. Took DS1 out of school and went eating. Very cultural. Lots of food. Perhaps I'll give up cooking for the next three months. But of course CNY not over yet, so maybe more food and cooking is inevitable!

Hello sushi!

pc did you get your piano?

mellow2 · 29/01/2009 08:30

Sfx - Hope dd is better. Sent you a text.

SJ - I had pink eyes constantly when I was young. Don't worry too much. It does have a tendency to reoccur. Hope ds1's teething is not hurting too much either.

Slng - We're having a lovely CNY too. I'm making all sorts of CNY food. I didn't know I had it in me.

Kew - How stressful for you. Hope it all works out.

I hope everyone else and their LOs are well.

mellow2 · 29/01/2009 09:20

Welcome back, sushi. It's nice that ds enjoyed his trip. Did he pick up any Japanese?

sfxmum · 29/01/2009 09:24

good morning all

hope everyone is well

here we had a quiet day yesterday and dd seemed to be recovering, she woke up this morning at 7 calling 'mummy daddy its morning I can go to nursery' and promptly threw up, so she went to sulk on the sofa, bless her
