Hi Ladies,

After the fun Thursday night without children, how about a Thursday with children?

We could take a walk in Highwoods Country park if the weather is good or go to Adventureland if the weather is bad.

Hopefully we will have some new faces join us too...

How about 17th or 24th?

Hi everyone - ive been a bit rubbish at posting recently, but now the sun's out and im getting over the last of many colds im going to be a bit more sociable! I was goign to pop up at Highwoods tomorrow, but the pox has scared me away (nothing personal SP!) DS is only 14m and hasn't had it - i would think about exposing him to it to get it over with, but he's only just had his MMR jab on Monday so im a scaredy cat.

Hope to see you again soon Mung (town tots on Fri?) and Twinkie, and meet everyone else. Have a good time!

Mung · 16/04/2008 19:44

Mine haven't had chicken pox and despite thinking I'd rather they had it young, I cant quite bring myself to force it upon them. If everyone else doesn't mind, then I'll keep away. I hope DD2 manages to avoid too much itching.

Good luck!

sophierosie · 16/04/2008 20:28

DD hasn't had chicken pox yet so am happy for her to be exposed

Will check in the morning and see what the plan is - I'll be there at 10.30 anyway!

SparklyPrincess · 16/04/2008 22:23

No problem Mung, was rather hoping to avoid it for a little while, but never mind.

Hope they weren't contagious when we saw you last - supposed to be 3 weeks incubation I think.

Will keep out of the way tomorrow but hopefully will see you all in the next couple of weeks. I'll be at the pharmacy in the morning buying calamine I reckon!

See you all soon ... SP xx

SparklyPrincess · 16/04/2008 22:24

If you want to pop round Sophierosie - my email address is on the thread somewhere - happy to infect!!

lucyfer2000 · 17/04/2008 07:26

Hello everyone,
Not sure if anyone is checking the net this morning. I was out last night, so have just been trying to follow last nights conversation!! Slightly confused, is anyone still going to make it to the woods tomorrow??!! We will still be there at 10.30, looking forward to a walk in this beautiful sunshine. Not really bothered about the pox either way - youngest has had it, not sure about the eldest (she had just a couple of suspect spots), but if she hasn't i would far rather her get it out of the way whilst she is younger as it is supposed to be worse the older you get...

Anyway, we have a meeting at a school at 09.15 so shall check my email before we go out and hopefully see some faces at 10.30!

lucyfer2000 · 17/04/2008 07:28

By the way, i have a grey phil and teds (popular aren't they!!)

Mung · 17/04/2008 08:27

Sorry ladies, I am not going to make it today. Both DCs ill. DD was being sick in the night and still cant keep anything down. DS has it all coming from the other end. Its great in my house this morning . I daren't go anywhere for fear of getting covered in some bodily fluid...again.

I hope you still get to meet up with some of the girls lucyfer2000.

Ok, so from the latest posts it looks like the only people coming don't mind me bringing my lurgy ridden children.

Will keep an eye out cos I don't want to turn up and upset anyone!

Hope you're LOs are better soon, Mung, I understand that a raincoat and a sou'wester are appropriate in these situations!

Mung · 17/04/2008 09:25

I can't keep up with the washing of smelly clothes...araghhhh! I want today to be over.

Have a lovely walk.

I now feel like I am getting it too...oh joy, today will be fun!

sophierosie · 17/04/2008 09:42

Oh Mung - I feel sorry for you - DD had this last sunday - on the positive side it only lasted a day for dd so hope it is the same for you.

See the rest of you at 10.30 - wrap up warm!

Saz126 · 17/04/2008 14:42

How was the walk? I was so cold this morning kinda relieved that I wasn't there! Twinkie, next Thurs good for us if you manage to have the frame up by then. Wishing all ill little ones better...saz x

Twinkie1 · 17/04/2008 15:54

Oh goodness - hope to see you all next week - DH putting it up Friday - the climbing frame that is as he won't be putting anything else up for a while! !!

Hope all kids better soon - Max just jumped off the trampoline rather than climbing off and trying to decide whether we need a run to A & E - oh no he is fighting with his sister so think he is fine!

Mung · 17/04/2008 21:01

Twinkie!!! You are still making the most of it then? I bet he is dying to have a go to see if it was worth all the fuss...the climbing frame that is

See you Thursday morning. I'll be there at 10ish after dropping DS at pre-school...is that OK?

Lucyfer2000...how did it go? Its not that bad once you have said the initial 'hello', is it?

lucyfer2000 · 17/04/2008 21:13

We had a really nice walk, not been around that part of highwoods before. It was a wee bit chilly when the sun was in - but beautiful when out.

Was really nice to finally chat and my little girl really loved playing with the other girls once she got over being shy.

Definitely be up for doing something again. Only around on Thursdays daytime at the moment though -still in the process of negotiating part time hours!...

Twinkie1 · 18/04/2008 08:12

Excellent - see you Thursday at 10am Mung.

Lets hope the weather holds out for the kids to do some climbing and at the weekend for DH to put it up!

Anyone else welcome - Lucifer Ilive in Kelvedon if you can get here.

Mung · 18/04/2008 09:32

Great...will be good to meet you too Lucyfer2000 if you can make it.

DD had a lovely time on thursday and was thoroughly exhausted after all the log rearranging! - I had to wake her after a mammoth sleep to go to a birthday party in the afternoon!

I'm at work next thursday morning so won't be about then, but hopefully next time!

Hope you're recuperating well Twinkie.

SparklyPrincess · 18/04/2008 22:09

Lol, Sophie ... everytime DD1 has been asked what she's been up to she recounts the tale of the lugging logs round Highwoods!

Hopefully will be around next Thursday, but depends on how long my appointment takes and if DD2 is better. She's in a bit of a state at the moment - extremely spotty and just a little bit mournful!

Hi,my names Jo, I'd like to meet up some time,as I live in North Station area too.I might find Thursdays tricky as my 3 yr old goes to Jo Jingles at 11.30am.Might be able to squeeze something in though.Have you room for another Gatecrasher in your group?

Twinkie1 · 19/04/2008 22:21

Hi Jo

Yes come along, the more the merrier - CAT me and I will give you contact details.

Mung · 20/04/2008 20:27

Hi Jo,
It would be great to meet up. If you can't make it Thursday then we could all meet on a Friday soon. Is that any better?

It sounds like Highwoods was a success...

I hope your DD2 returns to her happy self soon SP.

lucyfer2000 · 20/04/2008 20:32

Thanks Twinkie, I may well do that, i am feeling quite brave now!! I really like Kelvedon, often pop there at lunch time cos i work in Feering!

Hey Sophie, did you find out about the yoga class. I'm really up for it if your friend is still doing the classes!

NurseJo, do you do jingles in Bergholt? If so we recognise each other, as me and my two were going there for quite a while. You would not have missed them, they are the only ones that could not sit still!!

sophierosie · 20/04/2008 21:34

Yes - her classes are getting quite busy so its best if you give her a call in case she doesn't have any space left! Email me at sophierosie1 at yahoo dot co dot uk and I can give you her phone number - she's happy for you to call her!

Have fun on thursday! Think of me at work

SparklyPrincess · 21/04/2008 09:26

Lucyfer - we were talking about the group at the Natural History Museum. It's on a thursday morning. Found it in kidaround. Will probably try it when DD2 is better! Maybe this week as she's pretty scabby now!

Also, again assuming she's better, I'll be going to the Little Bugs Club at Fingringhoe Wick on Friday morning. Anyone fancy it?

Have emailed you for that number, Sophierosie. Thanks!

See you all soon ... DD2 was demanding to see her MN friends this morning so can't leave it too long!
