I'm am determined to make the Belfast Local Boards (and Co Antrim, where I also Tsarina!) more active!

Who is up for a conversation about living in Belfast and the absolute lack of child friendly places to go?! Grin

Seriously, anyone about?

BlackLashes · 09/02/2012 22:35

Yes that's it. Jellybean! Opps! thought it was soft play. Heard alot about it being child friendly too.

On the subject of baby 'stuff', I used McCullough's in Bangor for my Pram, cot etc. However, if Ikea had been here then, I would prob have bought there.

Lilyni congrats and welcome to the Twins Club!

DizzyCow63 · 09/02/2012 22:37

Oh Ecumenical, I'm in east Belfast and very near Ballyhackamore too! Jellybean tray bakes are yum!

SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 09/02/2012 22:43

Any of yous in Bangor leisure centre this evening wearing a mumsnet scarf?

AnEcumenicalMatter · 09/02/2012 22:49

Not me...but I do own a Mumsnet scarf. Although I bought it before it became famous on Mumsnet

Dizzy, oooh...we're practically neighbours! And how did I not know about amazing tray bakes on my doorstep? Tray bakes would be my Mastermind chosen specialised subject!

BlackLashes · 10/02/2012 19:36

Oh I do love my MN scarf, brown leopard, if you please...

AnEcumenicalMatter · 10/02/2012 19:59

Brown leopard is the one I have :)

I wear it to death. My work colleagues must be sick of the sight of it.

BlackLashes · 10/02/2012 20:33

Feeling the need to have another one in my life. Possibly the blue?

sighnomore · 10/02/2012 20:58

Ooh I'm in Belfast too :waves frantically: i have a dd 7 and ds 2. Excited for a norn iron thread!

BlackLashes · 10/02/2012 21:36

Think we should all meet up in Belfast and go out on the lash!

scampbell84 · 11/02/2012 20:12

Wow can't believe so many from east Belfast.. I am too!! 'ecumenical' when's your 20 wk scan?? I'm looking forward to mine on Monday!! Good to see a Belfast threat, it seems when u comment on the larger threads... Ie, antenatal, you are only graced with a reply if your a regular poster!!

BlackLashes · 11/02/2012 20:14

Oh sorry, forgot so many of you are pregnant!

AnEcumenicalMatter · 11/02/2012 20:27

BlackLashes...I'm up for going out on the lash when I'm able to drink again.

scampbell...another eastie! I actually had my scan yesterday but have to go back again in 2 weeks as they couldn't get all the measurements that they needed. A little disappointing but at least I get to see the little one again :) Good luck for Monday! Hope yours is more co-operative and less camera shy than mine.

scampbell84 · 11/02/2012 20:32

Ecumenical I hope so and being a bit optimistic that they will tel us the sex but with it being the ulster I'm not holding out much hope!

AnEcumenicalMatter · 11/02/2012 20:55

Don't get your hopes up...my SiL has had all 3 of her kids in the Ulster and wasn't once told the sex.

TeeTsarina · 11/02/2012 20:58

Hi all

Sorry not been around, have a horrid cold and very busy with work.

Maybe not a lash but maybe we can do something with kids? I'm open for ideas!

BulstrodeTheApatosaurus · 11/02/2012 22:10

Ooo i am in East Belfast too! 2 small boys. Soft play place near Connswater closed down last year. Best local bet is Mookie world or Ikea if over 3 years old.

BlackLashes · 11/02/2012 22:52

Maybe we should all meet in Ikea and put the little'uns in the free creche!

Ecumenical love to go out on the lash after baby's born.

TeeTsarina · 15/02/2012 13:42

Dropped off my list again...

Does everyone want to list what days they are free and we'll try to find a place and a time and everything?

With kids; Tuesday or Thursday.
Without kids; Friday. I usually work Monday and Wednesday but have been known to do other things instead. Grin Advantage to being a freelancer!

TeeTsarina · 15/02/2012 17:28

Hi Lynne!

Where's Mookie World?

OP posts:
AnEcumenicalMatter · 15/02/2012 17:47

Where is this Mookie World if which you speak?

Lynne! Another (almost) Ballyhack dweller!! Who knew there were so many Easties on Mumsnet?

lynnehan51 · 15/02/2012 18:28

hey girls mookie world is at the omniplex, dundonald, has toddler section with small slide and another section for bigger kids, very friendly and nothing like indianna land which i cant stand, they have a small coffee area which sells lots of differnt foods for adults/kids, i loved the fact they had those little tykes for babies my lb luved it

TeeTsarina · 20/02/2012 18:07

Conversation seems to have died again!

How are all of our pregnant ladies? Grin

Husband just sent me a text...WH Smiths in Belfast City Centre is closing and already has a sign sending people to Eason for books and newspapers.

Brianstorm · 27/02/2012 11:16

Hi again - this fell off my 'threads you're on' list, and just remembered to look for it this morning. My, my, you've all been very busy - and I am definitely up for a meet-up Smile

Hope all the pregnant ladies are still enjoying the nicest bit with all the energy, and none of the massive weight gain yet Wink

And Black Lashes - Ikea sounds like a brill idea. I often sometimes use their crèche as free childcare so I can get a quiet cup of coffee. Maybe we could all meet downstairs with the Mumsnet scarf...

therumoursaretrue · 27/02/2012 11:48

Fell off my list...oops.

Hope everyone is well. Was in WHSmith a couple of weeks ago Tee and noticed they seemed to have a lot less stock than normal. Did wonder if they were closing.

Nothing strange or unusual here, hope everyone else is keeping well!
