There seems to be a few of us here now . . . does anyone fancy a real life meet up? Or is it too wierd?

Whaddya think?

My presence here in MN land is intermittent to say the least, and I think I can safely say that finding this thread today doesn't fall into the 'better late than never' category does it?
DAMMIT!

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 16/04/2010 05:48

Ooh are you an Adelaidean too?

There'll be other meetups.

Cousinit · 16/04/2010 07:47

Ditto. It was lovely to meet up and I hope we can do it again soon x

differentnameforthis · 16/04/2010 15:43

Anyone else feel the earthquake...

Hope all of you are OK.

Ozziegirly · 17/04/2010 06:34

Yes, we felt it. We were just going to bed and couldn't work out what on earth it was. We discussed " big thing running over the roof", " huge thing driving past", "weird UFO causing rumblings" and then gave up and went to sleep.

differentnameforthis · 17/04/2010 07:51

That's what I thought, Ozzie! I thought someone was about to drive a truck into the house!

Scary!

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/04/2010 05:46

We had a family picnic in Bonython Park on Sun. Was thinking it might be nice for future daytime gathering with wee ones. Couple of playparks, toilets, kiosk, horses to pat etc. Anyone know it?

Cousinit · 19/04/2010 07:10

Yes, I know where you mean, although we have never been there. Sounds good, I'd definitely be up for meeting there with the little ones.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 19/04/2010 08:39

Sounds good to me.

Hijack: Claudia, I turned up today but the whole thing was confusing, I ended up with the park contingent. I'll be there in a fortnight anyway. Is anyone in the group not from Britain?

ClaudiaSchiffer · 19/04/2010 09:35

Hi Tortoise, so sorry about today, I wanted to ring you as it was all a bit of a disaster but had no way of contacting you.

Basically the school was closed due to teachers needing the room for training, so we arranged to meet at the park, then as it was wet early 3 of us went to Warrawong but some missed the message so went to the park anyway. Glad you met up with them, one girl is from NI and the other is a pom - honestly though we do let some Aussies join .

I hope they were friendly! Next week there is no playgoup as it's the long weekend, then it should be back at the school the week after.

Talulah, I've never been there, but happy to give it a go. There is also a fab adventure playground type park off the Kensington Rd (eastern suburbs) which would be good for a catch up - unless it's miles away from people??

I am up in Gawler so most places are miles away for me LOL
As for the earthquake, we were up watching a movie and didn't notice a thing. The first I knew of it was from facebook the next day
