There seems to be a few of us here now . . . does anyone fancy a real life meet up? Or is it too wierd?

Whaddya think?

Asking for the Sheperd table should do it, surely?

I am still up for it (...that's what she said). I own no Boden but I DO have the latest Adelaide's Child. Or you could look for the woman with the stripey hair, the big boobs and the English overbite.

RomaloDownUnder · 13/04/2010 06:28

Yes, I am sure asking for the Shepherd table will do just fine!

ClaudiaSchiffer · 13/04/2010 07:08

Well done and thanks Romalo.

For identification purposes I am short petite, greying, and will be ordering a large Sauvingon Blanc.

Tortoise, d'you wanna lift home?

I do have some Boden AND the latest Adelaide's child.

Hello, yes I'm still up for it. May be a little late if DH not home on time though. Thanks Claudia and Romalo for arranging, really looking forward to it. I should be easy to spot - I'll be the one who's the size of a house (34 weeks pg, feeling more like 44!).

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/04/2010 08:20

Oh dear - no Boden & only last month's copy of Adelaide Child. But look out for another shortarse petite person, short dark hair asking for the Shepherd table repeatedly as no one seems to able to understand my (not very broad) weegie accent.

RomaloDownUnder · 13/04/2010 08:26

Ha, a fellow Scot! Excellent, we can babble in our native tongue to our hearts content without being looked at as if we have dropped in from outer space! (I'm from the East coast myself and have Edinburgh accent but sure we can put the Glasgow/Edin divide to one side for now don't you think!)

TALLULAHBELLE · 13/04/2010 08:30

So long as you don't ask for brown sauce for your chips. That would be unforgivable

RomaloDownUnder · 13/04/2010 08:43

Actually I've just remembered that all my children are weegies. All born at the delightful Queen Mother Hospital. We coped well with life in Glasgow for many a good year!

Ozziegirly · 13/04/2010 12:44

Yes, I'm still around, also looking forward to it!

Just checking the time of the meeting, was it 7?

I am also short, with blonde hair and a small pregnancy bump.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 13/04/2010 14:30

7, yes. I'll prob come straight from work.

I would like a lift home please Claudia if I do not manage to offend you in the meantime.

(I probably won't)

Am also short.

RomaloDownUnder · 14/04/2010 07:44

bump in case anyone has missed it

DSH · 15/04/2010 08:06

Cafe Palazza
norwood parade

at 7pm.

Anyway, that's where I'm going!

i'll be the one with a large glass of wine.

Debbie

RomaloDownUnder · 15/04/2010 08:22

And you won't be the only one with a large glass of wine! See y'all there!

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 15/04/2010 08:24

I'll be the one with the frizzy hair (spent ages straightening it this morning, walked out into fog, dammit) and the polka dot clothes. I look like a clown today.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 15/04/2010 09:54

I will be a leetle late. Have to get the dds to bed first, so should be with you by 7.30.

Ozziegirly · 15/04/2010 09:59

I am just about to leave work so I'll see you there at 7.

Mine's a cranberry juice!

giraffesCANdriveAcar · 15/04/2010 21:44

Stalking you Tallulah - can't believe you have found a MN meet in oz

ClaudiaSchiffer · 16/04/2010 00:44

Good Morning everyone!

It was great to meet you all last night, thanks for all coming down .

I hope you all got home safely and have a great weekend x

OP posts:
tortoiseonthehalfshell · 16/04/2010 00:55

Yes, you too.

Romalo, I realised after we'd all gone that I think you got stuck with the whole cost of the bubbly. We were going to sort it out at the end and forgot.

Sorry. We'll have to do it again and make sure we buy you some wine!

RomaloDownUnder · 16/04/2010 01:18

That sounds good to me! It was lovely to meet everyone.

TALLULAHBELLE · 16/04/2010 01:19

Thanks for a great evening everyone. It was lovely to meet you all. Be good to make it a regular event and to get the kiddies together sometime too. Realised when I got home that hadn't squared up for the wine so will have to make amends on that one next time.

Giraffes - stop stalking me. Isn't Oz far enough!!!!??? Will email some sunny pics - you'll need to send me a photo of your new car. Brilliant that you've got your licence now - I must try harder to get mine.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 16/04/2010 02:45

Yes, I think a daytime in the park is called for.

Ozziegirly · 16/04/2010 03:07

Yes, it was really enjoyable, lovely to meet you all, and I would definitely like to meet up again.

DSH · 16/04/2010 03:48

hi
thanks for organising that. I really enjoyed myself. Sorry I had to leave early.

I'll fund a bottle of champagne next time too.
