Well we've had the whole gambit of weather - 1ft of snow to 64 degrees in less than 24 hours . Gotta love Colorado. Boys today played Naked Blast Off . Involved two large boxes and small boys jumping in and out of them. Heck it kept them amused for three whole hours - actually more if I stop to think about it. And yesterday I actually got some shopping for me done - yeah. And the best news, we finally got their new passports from the FCO in Washington hoo blooming rah.

All well here, another busy stressful week and work no doubt and then a five day weekend for the boys . Theater Camp for them. Then the big count down to our vacation.Going to get to 80 here this week, so shorts and t-shirts will be the order of the day. Hope all are well and enjoying spring.

Why did she have a Dead Beaver's head? I have a collection of dead animals - several complete skulls, assorted bones and an animal that I taxidermed myself.

When are you off, Ali?

just the skull & skin left, not too awful, but she wanted to show the baby!

jabberwocky · 21/04/2009 02:15

We're going to get to over 80 this week too - yeah. At least the snow's melted too thank goodness. We're off on June 1 just after school finishes. Really looking forward to it as are the boys. Will be great. Hope everyone had a good day, I'm actually off to bed early today as I'm shattered .

Twirl · 21/04/2009 04:55

It's 72 here today. A bit cold

SuperBunny · 22/04/2009 00:25

Gosh Anorak, you must be chilly. I'm sure Cali can lend you her socks & cardy. I still need mine

OP posts:
dooneygirl · 22/04/2009 03:30

Anorak!

It was a record high here today, but I bet I'm much more comfortable than Cali. It is supposed to be about 22 degrees cooler tomorrow, and even cooler the day after that when we go to the zoo.

SuperBunny · 22/04/2009 19:04

Where's AnnieLaurie? And Bunkups? Actually Bunkup might be here, I think she was coming this week.

Lovely and sunny here, warm. Gorgeous.

SuperBunny I am packing for Chicago right now! Shorts and t-shirts then?

Have decided the Childrens Museum is the best bet while I'm on my own with the kids. The only bit that worries me is lunch and feeding baby with no dh to keep other 2 entertained. Just have to hope they don't run off will arm myself with bag of treats for bribing purposes.

We are excited about visiting a big city - while Des Moines has its charms I feel a bit like I'm trapped in 1980 something! Makes Leeds (our home before) seem extrememly comopolitan!

Sunny here too and what a difference it makes!

AnnieLaurie · 23/04/2009 04:54

Hello - I'm here! Have taken time out from the sea of nappies and wipes to check in with you all...

Is anyone else there? I am having a few probs with my 2.9 yr old DS1 at the moment which is getting me down and could do with some advice, but dont want to waffle on if nobody is around!!
