How are you doing? Any news? Sorry if you are sick of being asked!

OP posts:

PMSL. oh, a boy and a girl, how lovely. and it looks like he'll be quite easy-going, judging by his attitude so far...

MrsJohnCusack · 05/03/2007 10:09

found OUT
thanks aitch Schneebly!
The induction process does sound slightly gentler and nicer than the one I had last time in the UK, so I am still hopeful it will be OK.

JackieNo · 05/03/2007 10:13

Oh no MrsJC - still not happening for you. I'll keep sending those vibes too. Every morning, I come onto MN and hope to see something saying that you've had him.

welliemum · 05/03/2007 10:14

I'm off to bed now as dd2 is (I hope!) properly asleep.....

Crossing fingers that when I wake up you'll have a little boy rhino!

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 10:15

i quite liked my induction, you know. but i got on really well with the midwife who was on that day, so that helped. are you even a teeny bit dilated, mrsjc? what did they say at the sweep?

MrsJohnCusack · 05/03/2007 10:25

yes a teeny bit dilated - 1 cm prob, from having had a baby before - and 50% effaced. And so many contraction of and on all day, but they never get anywhere.

last induction worked very quickly after the 2nd pessary thing so I would think it may well again. was TOO fast last time though, should be better this time as I won't be left on my own in a room scared silly and the midwife will probably believe me when I say I'm in established labour...

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 10:39

i never had the pessary, actually, i was straight on the drip thing. it'll have to be better this time, definitely. so much more civilised in NZ.

hunkermunker · 05/03/2007 12:14

Aw, MrsJC - I know the feeling of "it's just a big joke, I'm not really pg, it's just a huge cushion someone snuck up my top" - DS1 was 10 days late.

I really hope you're in labour now.

:::vibes:::

ShowOfHands · 05/03/2007 12:24

Just running in to say hello to you and another one hoping that it all happens before Thursday in a short, pain-free sneeze-like motion...

CheesyFeet · 05/03/2007 12:53

Oh MrsJC I was really hoping things would have kicked off for you over the weekend.

::vibes::

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 12:56

will we all join in to give her a virtual MN sweep?

CheesyFeet · 05/03/2007 13:07

This won't hurt a bit MrsJC.

Just open your legs, there's a good girl.

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 14:45

come ON mrsjc, a little wider...

welliemum · 05/03/2007 19:54

[earnest sincerity and no irony whatsoever]

Now, MrsJC, this may feel a little uncomfortable....

AitchTwoOh · 05/03/2007 20:00

(pmsl at the fact that no-one wants to be the first person to go in, even in a virtual sweep)

Ho-kay MrsJC... take a nice deep relaxing breath in and slowly breathe out...

welliemum · 06/03/2007 01:58

Think you might have to do this yourself MrsJC....

.... very quiet isn't it?

welliemum · 06/03/2007 02:26

Ooooh!

... or maybe she's just realised we're all barking and is running away very fast.

AitchTwoOh · 06/03/2007 02:29

hope so, but i saw on yahoo that she was complaining (who, mrsjc? unthinkable...) that she couldn't log on to MN, for some reason. i think she was keen to find out about a certain tv programme.

anyway come on all you foreign ladies from abroad, you're all so mouthy now, where were you when she needed her virtual sweep?

i'm retiring for the evening, i'll leave the medical footering to you all from here on in.

mamama · 06/03/2007 02:30

Was just thinking Mrsjc hasn't been around recently. Ooooo...

MrsJohnCusack · 06/03/2007 03:23

no I am still here
couldn't get on mumsnet (Aitch, whaddya mean, I NEVER complain ) and then was out with my sister in the BOILING heat.

have been walking and walking and still nothing.

twentypence · 06/03/2007 03:39

Personally today I would be filling the bath with cold water and lying in it.

I still think you'll go in labour when the weather turns, does your midwife believe in this phemonemnon because all the ones I saw did.
