thanks for the advice! hoping that as the shits i do are early satrts or lunchtime starts i should miss the commuter traffic. fingers crossed. was over in sugust staying on bribie. rent was cheap and unit was fab, hence the interest there. struggling to find reasonable rental accomodation nearer towong. had an email from the weslry toay who said an hour on the train to auchen flower? probaly the same to drive with a good wind? thanks for the childcare links. Just the stress of flights and uk airports to survive again now! DP is busy job hunting too. had a company interested in him so fingers crossed. seems he may end up going a bit before us which is annoying. still mustn't grumble. both really like the whole glass house mountains region. id like to work at caboolture hospital but they wont take students. the wesley has a fab reputation too so hope it all works out and will take it from there. only need to do 25 hours a week and will aim for similar when we are back for good. hopefully long days too so i limit the travel.

Hi everyone,
Are we still meeting up this Sunday???
It feels like ages since we discussed it.
I'm back now from the UK and VERY glad I won't have to do that flight alone with a toddler again for a long time!
I won't bore you with the details - suffice to say that it was a Living Hell!

2000milestoeidsvold · 06/12/2006 03:16

posted another thread to start and ask if you were still up for it... have not been able to get bouj so I emailed her ( well I hope it was her ) to see if she was still up for it.

flannelettepyjamas · 06/12/2006 07:24

OK, will wait to hear.
I love your Xmassy name - must enhance mine too!

2000milestoeidsvold · 06/12/2006 07:30

if bouj can't make it do you still want to meet up just at a cafe or something for lunch. dh will be with dd1 at the 4KQ christmas party so it will be dd2 and me.

2000milestoeidsvold · 07/12/2006 02:46

fp - bouj can't make it but if you still want to get together even just for coffee I am more than willing -though I might go into town anyway as dh is in at the convention centre and do his christmas shopping.

let me know.

Bouj · 07/12/2006 10:39

Thanks eidsvold. Sorry I can't make it ladies - was looking forward to meeting you both.

2000milestoeidsvold · 07/12/2006 10:41

got your email - only 24 weeks - have ages till the end of Mar EDD. managed to get in at the Royal and have the same consultant. Seeing him at 30 weeks to discuss c-section dates..... just seem tired with the busy - ness of the end of year stuff. be glad when holidays are here.

hope all is well at your end.

flannelettepyjamas · 08/12/2006 03:56

Sorry for the delay replying - I haven't been on the internet for a few days - still struggling with jetlag - I wake at 1am for 2 hours then DD wakes at 3am til morning so am a bit knackered. And stupidly went back to work this week too!
I'd be keen to still meet up even though Bouj isn't available - we'll ahve to make another date that she can make too.
DH is off so I can come alone (phew).
Where would you like to meet? And what time suits? I have to be at a BBQ at 4pm but can certainly make lunchtime ok.

2000milestoeidsvold · 08/12/2006 10:27

let me think about it and get back to you - need to sort out with dh. Been at RBH with my mother today who was taken to the hospital in a lot of pain - I am knackered for doing nothing but sitting around.

so please check back tomorrow when I have got my brain unfuzzed. Can meet again another time when Bouj is able to make it too.

flannelettepyjamas · 09/12/2006 00:23

Of course.
I really hope your Mum is OK.
Waiting around in a hospital is very tiring and stressful.
You seem to have had a busy time of late.
No worries if you want to meet up another time. I've got 2 other things on on Sunday anyway so I don't mind doing that. ( Busy time Xmas-time)

2000milestoeidsvold · 09/12/2006 06:02

do you want to leave it then until the New Year when at least no1 is back at school and Bouj might be able to make it then too.

I was thinking of trying to finish my christmas shopping since the 4KQ party is 4 hours long!! But would feel bad if I met up with you only to have dh call me and say dd1 had had a meltdown and we needed to go.

is that okay??

2000milestoeidsvold · 09/12/2006 06:48

let's leave it until Bouj can make it ?!?! is that okay?!?!?

flannelettepyjamas · 09/12/2006 22:39

Yep, that's absolutely fine - to be honest, we got back from a party at 1am and I awoke at 5.30am so could do with a bit more sleep just now. It would be nice to meet Bouj aswell anyway.
OK, off for a snooze. Have a great day Xmas shopping (must get organised myself). Catch you later.

2000milestoeidsvold · 10/12/2006 08:47

only had a couple of hours in the city in the end and still did not manage to get all I wanted BUT at least dh now has some idea of what he wants....

dd1 had a fab time at the 4KQ party but it was a long wait to see father christmas and get a present so dh left early - dd1 has issues with queueing..... she has more than enough presents and she doesn't know she missed out.... also made life a little easier when she got home and did not have presents to fight over with dd2 iyswim.
