According to their website the Warehouse have some Kinnerton ones, here

search.thewarehouse.co.nz/search?w=Kinnerton&asug=

He may not be that keen on getting a LaLaLoopsy one though Smile

vvviola · 26/03/2013 23:23

If Warehouse doesn't have them, I'm pretty sure the organic shop in Rosedale/Albany do Kinnerton chocolate so might have eggs (naturally organic I think it's called). There's also an organic shop in Takapuna that has a good range of allergy-free stuff. Might not be the most convenient for you, but worth a try if you are stuck (that said - I'm going to head to the Warehouse to check out their options for myself DD2)

Sibble · 26/03/2013 23:37

Thanks all, I had to laugh out loud at lalaloopsie, ds1 is 13, voice has broken, on the cusp of needing to shave and what his face would be like when the Bunny left him a lalaloopsie egg. Mind you his face when he gets a Thomas the tank one might still be a picture. A trip to the Warehouse after work is called for!

AngryBeaver · 27/03/2013 18:24

frick, any use?

We used one from Holland & Barratt that was so bloody brilliant I kept telling everyone about it and convinced people I was a hippy, and even better, I discovered how to make it myself for pennies. It's a natural salt called potash alum, and water. That's it. It works better than any antiperspirant I've used.
I used to get nasty rashes and painful bumps but it's not a problem anymore.

Oh Lordy - panic. Ds3 turns 3 on Saturday and I now find out all the bloody shops are shut tomorrow!? I'm out tonight so I can't go after work. I'm going to have to move meetings to scrabble round the crappy warehouse in the CBD. I am such a shit mother - why do I always leave this to the last minute.

WhatSheSaid · 27/03/2013 21:01

Oh yes, that can catch people out at first... frik do you know about this? No shops open tomorrow or Sunday. There's usually a garage or something open if you run out of milk though.

frikonastick · 27/03/2013 23:50

Fuck! No, I didn't know. Thanks for the heads up. Fuckydoublefuck. Am ill in bed with raging fever and what I am convinced is some sort of serrated blade in my throat. So now will be dragging myself to the shops......... Actually, no. Wait. DH can go. I don't care if he buys all the wrong stuff. I guess as long as we've bread milk eggs and the all important Easter paraphernalia, were fine. They can all just eat cereal. Haven't done anything about my pits at the mo, have been waiting for them to heal first. Was going to try the sanex roll on again, get my mom to fast post me some from the uk. That and twinings black box afternoon tea. I didn't know I was a tea snob, but honestly I could cry right now. All I want is my own bed, our old housekeeper and cup of proper fucking tea.

Sorry. Got a bit carried away there Blush

And you know about paracetomal and ibuprofen at the same time?
Hope you are feeling bettter very soon x

Or even something from Countdown, that will be open til 10?

And more importantly than everything :

frikonastick · 28/03/2013 00:29

Manuka lozenges you say? From any chemist?

And lol, yes my housekeeper! Not for housekeeping duties though, I just miss her terribly as she was my constant companion for years. We speak every Sunday, but it's not the same really.

thelittlestkiwi · 28/03/2013 00:55

Frik- a pal of mine gave me a recipe for flu buster tea. It's quite easy:

1 lemon- juice and then slice up.
some honey
2 cloves
a bit of cinnamon
some fresh ginger peeled and sliced.

optional: fresh chilli and garlic

Bung it all in a pan and boil for a while. Strain and drink over a day.

Countdown do internet shopping if you don't trust DH.

I should be sanding our deck but an going to take my own cold back to bed instead!

Lolly- I just bought a fire engine card with a 3 on it if you get desperate.

frikonastick · 28/03/2013 01:02

Internet shopping! Bloody hell, why didn't I think of that! Genius.

frikonastick · 28/03/2013 01:03

Feel better soon too

vvviola · 28/03/2013 01:56

Spotted someone in Countdown this afternoon with about 10 bottles of wine (and nothing else) in their trolley. Made me feel like I was at home, where the shops nearly sell out of alcohol on Holy Thursday because you can't buy it for a whole 24 hours Grin

AngryBeaver · 28/03/2013 02:49

It's jazz festival weekend here, PLUS Easter, so our little Coundown is heaving and nearly out of alchol. Hoping dh can get in there on way home from ferry, can't really take my lot in it would be hellish.
Tis a HORRID tiny cramped, dark countdown with narrow aisles...euch.]
Can't wait til they build the new one.

frick, ah, that's nice that you talk. She must miss you too. Yes, I'm sure most chemists do the lozengers

OP posts:
frikonastick · 28/03/2013 04:13

Wow. Am seriously impressed with the manuka honey lozenges. DH got me mossops ones and its the first relief I've had. Yay! And he bought me ginger beer as well as raw ginger. I don't know if there is actually any real ginger in ginger beer, but it's sure nice :-)

Gingerodgers · 28/03/2013 04:19

Ladies - I've been on the ginger beer so excuse me. I moved meetings and raided the crappy warehouse to find some train tat plus lots of other stuff on sale. Not before spending $100 (yes that is $100) of fricking easter eggs for kids, team, nanny etc. Why do they cost so much here (shut up whinging pom). Team were pissing themselves at me getting on bus with copious bags (infact they helped me to the bus stop as they felt so sorry for me). I get almost home and then of all days bloody bus breaks down. My anonymous bus buddy had to help me home with my bags - I now know his name. I feel like I'm living in the hebrides in the eighties - why would you shut shops on good friday!? (slinks off to get over herself)
